Aldsworth is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, about ten miles north-east of Cirencester. In 2010 its population was 236. Aldsworth is a large parish, slightly north of the River Leach, located in the South West of the United Kingdom. Situated on elevated land just off the B4425, Aldsworth is an unspoilt village located 3 miles from Bibury, 6 and a half miles from Burford and 6 miles from Northleach. With an average rainfall of 750mm and a growing season estimated at 250 days a year, the land is of moderate quality for agricultural purposes. It had a population of 3143 according to the 2011 census.

Initially it was a Relief Landing Ground for RAF Chipping Norton, later coming under the control of RAF Little Rissington.

Sherborne House is a large house in the village of Sherborne, Gloucestershire, England. It is a former country house that has been converted into flats and has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.The Dutton family owned Sherborne manor from c. 1522. A U-shaped house was built on this site in 1651–3 by Valentine Strong (d.1662) for John Dutton and was rebuilt in 1829–1834 for John Dutton, 2nd Baron Sherborne by Lewis Wyatt. The house, which reproduces the style of the 17th-century building, has a square plan with a central courtyard and a three-storey facade. Interior decoration of the principal rooms was by Anthony Salvin, c. 1841.The adjoining Church of St Mary Magdalene, with origins in the late 13th century and partly rebuilt in the mid 19th century, is also Grade II* listed.The gardens, pleasure ground and extensive parkland, begun in the 17th century but much altered, are listed as Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. A deerpark to the southwest, now known as Lodge Park, has a former grandstand from the mid 17th century.

Sherborne is a linear village, extending more than a mile along the valley of Sherborne Brook, a tributary of the River Windrush. The place-name 'Sherborne' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it is spelt 'Scireburne', and means 'bright stream'. This is a reference to Sherborne Brook.

The village has a village hall, a pub and a village green. Its economy has been transformed to render agriculture a minor but physically evident employer across most of the area: this area of the Cotswolds has been almost wholly been turned over from forest to agriculture, landscape parks and private or semi-private gardens. The working population divides includes mainly short-distance commuters and remote workers. A significant minority work in the district's leisure, food and hospitality sector. The Cotswold Water Park lies to the south and the Cotswold scarp is away to the north and west.

Quenington Preceptory was a preceptory of the Knights Hospitaller in Quenington, Gloucestershire, England. The manor of Quenington was given by Agnes de Lucy and her daughter Sibilla to the order, who established the preceptory in 1193, adding to it the manor of Wishanger, the gift of Asculf Musard. By 1338 the Hospitallers had also acquired the churches of Lower Guiting, Southrop, Down Ampney and Siddington. The preceptory, which in the interim had taken over the possessions of the preceptory of Clanfield in Oxfordshire as well, was surrendered to the Crown in 1540 as part of the possessions of Clerkenwell Priory.
