It was built in 1938-1939 as part of a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project at a rural consolidated high school. It is a 1 1/2-story, Rustic Revival-style granite rubble stone building. It has a small concrete-block rear addition dated to about 1955.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Hoskins House Historic District, also known as Tannenbaum Park, is a historic log cabin and national historic district located at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. The Hoskins House is a late-18th or early-19th century chestnut log dwelling house measuring 24 feet by 18 feet. It has an interior enclosed stair and exterior stone chimney. The house was restored in 1986–1987. Also on the property is the contributing Coble Barn (c 1830). It is a large double-pen log barn of hewn V-notched logs under a long wood-shingled gable roof. The barn was moved to and restored at its current location in 1987. The Hoskins House site was the focal point of the British attack during the Battle of Guilford Court House on March 15, 1781. The Hoskins property survives today as an important satellite to the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Kellenberger Estate, also known as Miramichi, is a historic estate and national historic district located in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. The district encompasses five contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and six contributing structures built between about 1921 and 1944. The landscape, designed and planted 1921–1944, includes the contributing Stone grottos (c. 1925), Curvilinear Pool (c. 1925), Open Picnic Area (c. 1925), Lake (c. 1915), Dam (c. 1915), Covered Picnic Area (late 1920s), Boathouse (c. 1930), and Swimming Pool (c. 1930). The Kellenberger House is a Colonial Revival style dwelling built in stages between about 1921 and 1944. At its core is a mid-19th century V-notched log house. Associated with the house are the contributing Log Outbuilding (c. 1925), Bungalow style Tenant House (c. 1930), and Chicken House (c. 1925).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Hillsdale Brick Store is a historic general store building in Hillsdale, Guilford County, North Carolina. It dates to the mid 19th century and is a two-story, two-bay-by-three-bay brick building with Greek-Revival-style design elements. It has a low hipped roof. Also on the property are the contributing remnants of a log icehouse and blacksmith shop.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The contributing resources were built between 1894 and 1921, and developed around the Whitsett Institute, that operated from 1884 to 1919. Located in the district and separately listed is Holly Gate. Other notable buildings include the Queen Anne / Colonial Revival style "The Oaks", the John Rankin House, the Captain Dick House, the Wimbish-Tayler House, the Jefferson Lamb Houses, the Swift-Wheeler House, and the 1894 Charles T. Mason House and Dormitory.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
