The House-Museum of Nariman Narimanov was opened in Baku, Azerbaijan, on November 6, 1977. Nariman Narimanov lived in the apartment together with his family during 1913–1918.

The House-Museum of Leopold and Mstislav Rostropovich (Azerbaijani: Leopold və Mstislav Rostropoviçlərin ev-muzeyi, Russian: Дом-музей Леопольда и Мстислава Ростроповичей) is a national memorial/museum in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Mitrofanov Residence (Azerbaijani: Mitrofanovun evi) is a mansion in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. It was built by Dmitry D. Mitrofanov, a rich oil baron who employed Johann Edel as the architect for his residence. Construction took place between 1898 and 1902. The building was built in the French Renaissance Revival-style. Following the March 1918 events, the building was used by the Baku Commune. In 1919, during the short-lived Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, the building housed the French Embassy. With the April 1920 invasion, the building was divided into apartments.

Azerbaijan State University of Economics (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. UNEC was founded in 1930, and it is one of the biggest educational institutions of the South Caucasus. UNEC has 14 faculties, where 18.5 thousand students get education, also has 5 branches, and it offers master programs in 57 specialties, employing more than 1000 teachers, including 62 professors and 344 docents, among whom there are active members of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, New York Academy of Sciences, winners of state awards, honored teachers and scientists. UNEC is a full member of the European University Association, Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World, University Council of Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and Eurasian Association of Universities. Foreign students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate courses at UNEC are approximately 650 out of 18,400 student enrollment overall. In 2007, a Library and Information Center and a student Career Center started functioning at UNEC and also a new 7-floor educational building that meets the highest international standards was opened. The same year UNEC received the “European quality” award and the European Club of Rectors and European University Association. On its Main Building on Istiglaliyyat street, a 24/7 open library is operating since 2018. The strategic direction of UNEC development was to bring the educational process up to the international standards by 2010, finishing the international accreditation process and ensuring full compliance with Bologna Process, as well as more active participation in the international market of educational services. Currently, the university is chaired by rector professor Adalat Muradov and five vice rectors.

The Alibeyovs’ House is a residential building located in Baku at the intersection of 4 Rza Guliyev lane (former Karaulny lane) and 60 Suleiman Tagizade street (former Pochtovaya street).

The Iranian ambassador in Baku is the official representative of the Government in Tehran to the Government of Azerbaijan. On 30 August 1991 the modern Republic of Azerbaijan proclaimed its independence, shortly before the dissolution of the USSR in the same year. In 1991 the governments of Həsən Həsənov and Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani recognized each other mutually. In 1992 they established diplomatic relations.

The Palace of Happiness (Azerbaijani: Səadət Sarayı), currently also called Palace of Marriage Registrations and previously called Mukhtarov Palace, is a historic building in the center of Baku, Azerbaijan, built in Neo-Gothic style in the early 20th century.

Abdulla Shaig’s House Museum is dedicated to the famous Azerbaijani writer Abdulla Shaig and is under the control of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is located on the second floor of a historical building in Baku that was constructed in 1905.

Sovetsky (Azerbaijani: Sovetski, listen ; Russian: Советская) is a historic district in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is located in Yasamal raion, between Nariman Narimanov Avenue (former Sovetsky Avenue) and Mirza Ibrahimov Street, and between Nizami and Ibrahim Abilov streets. There are many historical buildings over a century old, museums, mosques, baths and houses of notable Azerbaijanis. During renovation of the area in 2014–2016 many buildings were demolished, among them several cultural heritage monuments.

The Executive Power of the Baku City, informally called the mayoralty of Baku, is the executive authority of Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. Its seat is in the Baroque building, built in the beginning of the 20th century. During Soviet era the Executive Power of the Baku City was named the Executive Committee of the Baku City Workers' Deputies Council (in 1939–1977), then the Executive Committee of the Baku City National Deputies' Council (in 1977–1991). Since 1991 it has been named the executive power of the Baku City.

Taza Pir Mosque (also Tazapir, Teze Pir, Teze-Pir, Tezepir) is a mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. Its construction began in 1905 and was finished by 1914. The idea for the mosque as well as its financing was provided by an Azeri philanthropist, a female, Nabat Khanum Ashurbeyov (Ashurbeyli)

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (Russian: Александро-Невский Собор; Azeri: Aleksandr Nevski Başkilsəsi, often referred to as Qızıllı kilsə – "The Gilt Church") was the main Russian Orthodox cathedral in Baku, Azerbaijan from when it was completed in 1898 until its destruction in 1937 during the Soviet era under Joseph Stalin. The cathedral was the biggest Russian Orthodox structure ever built in the South Caucasus.
