Regional Representative Council

The MPR/DPR/DPD Building, also known as the MPR/DPR Building is the seat of government for the Indonesian legislative branch of government, which consists of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), the People's Representative Council (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD).

The People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian: Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia, MPR-RI) is the legislative branch in Indonesia's political system. It is composed of the members of the People's Representative Council (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD). Before 2004, and the amendments to the 1945 Constitution, the MPR was the highest governing body in Indonesia. In accordance with Law No. 16/1960, the assembly was formed after the general election in 1971. It was decided at that time that the membership of the Assembly would be twice that of the House. The 920 membership of MPR continued for the terms of 1977–1982 and 1982–1987. For the terms 1987–1992, 1992–1997, and 1997–1999 the MPR's membership became 1000. One hundred members were appointed representing delegations from groups as addition to the faction delegates of Karya Pembangunan (FKP), Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (FPDI), Persatuan Pembangunan (FPP), and military (Fraksi ABRI, later renamed Fraksi TNI/POLRI). For the term of 1999–2004 the membership of MPR was 700 (462 civilians and 38 from military and police which formed the DPR, 135 from each of the 27 provinces which formed the Regional Delegations Faction (Fraksi Utusan Daerah), and 65 to form the Groups Delegations Faction (Fraksi Utusan Golongan)). It was reduced to 688 in 2004 due to the removal of active military and police officers and the dissolution of the GDF, as well as the reassignment of Regional Delegations Faction to the newly formed DPD and restructuring the senatorial seats at 128 from each of the 32 provinces. Due to addition of West Papua since the 2009 election, the number of DPD senators became 132. Since the 2019–2024 term there are 575 DPR members and 136 senators, resulting in 711 members of the MPR.

The People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian: Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia, DPR-RI), also known as the House of Representatives, is one of two elected chambers of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), the national legislature of Indonesia. It is considered the lower house, while the Regional Representative Council (DPD) serve as the upper house; while the Indonesian constitution does not explicitly mention the divide, the DPR enjoys more power, privilege, and prestige compared to the DPD. Members of the DPR are elected through a general election every five years. Currently, there are 575 members; an increase compared to 560 prior to the 2019 elections.The DPR has been the subject of frequent public criticism due to perceived high levels of fraud and corruption.

The Television of the Republic of Indonesia Tower (or Menara TVRI ) is a 144-meter high television transmitter tower located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Started construction on 1 April 1975 and completed on 24 August 1977, this tower was at one time one of the tallest structures in Jakarta and Indonesia.

Palmerah Station (PLM) is a railway station located in Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Gelora, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, near the Palmerah market. The station is located in the altitude of +13 meters above sea level, and only serves KRL Commuterline. Palmerah Station was rebuilt in 2013–2014 and features a new two-storey station building. The old building was preserved and the new building straddles above it.The Palmerah market and Parliament building is located adjacent to the station. The station services the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and the surrounding sports complex.

Kompas Multimedia Towers is a complex of 3 towers, named Menara Kompas I, II and III, which is situated at Gelora, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The complex has a land area of about 1.2 hectares. Tower I has a height of 92 meters and 18 floors, tower II has height of 138 meters and 27 floors, and tower III has height of 226 meters and 52 floors. Construction of Tower I and II was completed in 2017. Construction of tower III is expected to be completed by 2018.

Senayan Park (abbreviated as Spark, stylized in all caps as SPARK) is a shopping mall with an outdoor public recreational space in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located northeast of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta. Senayan Park is built above the former site of Taman Ria Senayan, the first and earliest amusement park in Jakarta (before the opening of Dunia Fantasi in Ancol), opened in the early 1970s.

The Indonesia Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena currently under construction at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta, Indonesia. Set to open in June 2023, it is proposed to have a maximum seating capacity of 16,500. It is one of the venues of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Bentara Budaya Jakarta is a cultural center located on Jalan Palmerah Selatan 17, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The institution consists of a museum and an art gallery. Open from Monday to Friday at 8 AM to 5 PM, the gallery is closed on weekends and holidays, with an exception being made when special exhibitions are present. Entry to the gallery is free of charge and open to visitors.As a cultural institution, Bentara Budaya Jakarta hosts a wide spectrum of Indonesian cultural activities, from traditional to modern Indonesian arts, exhibitions of fine arts such as paintings, sculptures and graphic arts, to performing arts, and concerts.Bentara Budaya Jakarta is the Jakarta branch of Bentara Budaya, a cultural institution managed by Kompas Gramedia Group which also has several cultural centers in Yogyakarta, Surakarta (as Balai Soedjatmoko), and Bali.

Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno) or simply Madya Stadium is a secondary stadium in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex with a capacity of 9,170 (20.000++ for concerts). It is used mostly for track and field athletics training and events. It is located west-northwest of the complex's Main Stadium. Opened in December 1961, it was used as the venue for the field hockey event of the 1962 Asian Games, during which it was known as the Senayan Hockey Stadium or the Senayan Open Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Terbuka Senayan). After falling into severe disrepair and even being used for illegal greyhound racing at some point, the stadium was renovated, converted to an athletics stadium and hosted the 1985 Asian Athletics Championships. The stadium was used as a warm-up spot during the 2018 Asian Games and closing ceremony of the 2018 Asian Para Games. This stadium planned to serve as the venue of Justin Bieber's Justice World Tour on November 2 and 3, 2022 before it was postponed due to health issues. This stadium was briefly used by Bhayangkara during their 2019 season, amid renovations of their home ground PTIK Stadium.

Jakarta Convention Center or JCC (Indonesian: Balai Sidang Jakarta) is a convention center located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Jakarta, Indonesia. It is one of earliest as well as popular convention center in Jakarta. Since its inauguration in 1974 many important national and international conference, exhibition, fair, indoor sports and musical concerts were held at JCC including 11th Non-Aligned Movement Conference and Asian-African Conference It is a very venue place throughout the year.

Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (Indonesian: Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno; literally "Bung Karno Sports Arena Main Stadium"), formerly Senayan Main Stadium and Gelora Senayan Main Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium located at the center of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. It is mostly used for football matches. The stadium is named after Sukarno, the then-president of Indonesia, who sparked the idea of building the sports complex. When first opened prior to the 1962 Asian Games, the stadium had a seating capacity of 110,000. It has been reduced twice during renovations: first to 88,306 in 2006 for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup and then to 77,193 single seats as part of renovations for the 2018 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, where it hosted the ceremonies and athletics competitions. The capacity of 88,083 makes it 7th largest association football stadium in the world. Due to the most recent renovation which saw all remaining bleachers replaced by single seats, it is the 28th largest association football stadium in the world and the 8th largest association football stadium in Asia.
