Highland School, also or previously known as Highland-Lawn School, is an 1892 building at 9th Street and Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder, Colorado. It was the fourth school built in Boulder and was used as a school until 1971. The Highland School Building was converted to use as an office building and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The building is constructed of red brick and blond sandstone mined from local quarries.Highland School was threatened with demolition in 1971. Civic leaders opposed to the demolition of the School and nearby Central School (Boulder, Colorado) formed Historic Boulder, Inc. to advocate for its preservation.The school was designed by the Denver firm of Varian and Sterner in 1890. It was doubled in size in a 1923 extension which was designed to be entirely compatible to the original building.

Highland Lawn is a subdivision in Boulder, Colorado. The subdivision contains a concentration of well-preserved buildings reflecting the prevailing architectural tastes at the turn of the twentieth century, including Queen Anne style, Classic Cottage, and Victorian house vernacular styles. Hannah Connell Barker platted the middle-class neighborhood in 1884 as the Town of Highland Lawn. The area is significant for its association with historic persons and events and as an excellent collection of buildings reflecting architectural styles of the period. The City of Boulder has established the Highland Lawn Historic District encompassing a large portion of the original subdivision.

The First Baptist Church of Boulder, at 1237 Pine St. in Boulder, Colorado, was built in 1925-26. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It is a brick L-shaped building "central three-story square tower is located at the inside corner of the "L" and has the pointed arch main entrance with heavy, paneled, glazed, wooden, double doors. The tower is topped with a pre-cast concrete belfry with such ornate details as a crenellated parapet, quatrefoils, corner piers, and large lancet openings with smaller lancet shapes in the tracery."It was deemed significant as "excellent example of the Late Gothic Revival style. The Hotel Boulderado is located at 13th and Spruce St. in downtown Boulder, Colorado. It opened its doors on New Year's Day 1909. The original 1908 Otis Elevator is still in operation.As one of the first Boulder hotels, it is located in the heart of downtown. The hotel's name comes from the words "Boulder" and "Colorado" so no guest would forget where they had stayed. The hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Hotel Boulderado is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.The Hotel Boulderado houses three restaurants. Located off of the main lobby are Spruce Farm and Fish, a fine-dining restaurant, and the Corner Bar, a more casual eatery. The basement contains a speakeasy-style bar, License No. 1, which recently replaced Catacombs. All three restaurants share a kitchen.The Hotel Boulderado appears in Stephen King's novel Misery.

The Boulder County Courthouse is a historic building on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado, built in 1933. The courthouse is a contributing property to the Downtown Boulder Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. In 2018, additional information about the building was added to the documentation of the district.

The Pearl Street Mall (also referred to as Pearl Street, or Downtown Boulder) is a four-block pedestrian mall in Boulder, Colorado. Andrews Arboretum is a small arboretum located on the east side of Broadway between Grandview and Marine Streets in Boulder, Colorado, United States. It is open every day free of charge. The arboretum was established in 1948 by Miss Maud Reed, a former botany teacher at Boulder High School. At her request, the arboretum was named after Darwin M. Andrews, a horticulturist from Boulder. In 1989 the arboretum was acquired by Boulder's Parks and Recreation Department, and is now managed by its Forestry Division. It contains native evergreens, cultivated shrubs, groundcovers, and exotic trees.
