Southside House

Crooked Billet, also known as Shepherd's Hatch Gate, is a hamlet which forms part of Wimbledon Common and incorporates its own commons. The district encompasses a small area in southwest London, England, in the London Borough of Merton. The area is regarded as a popular greenspot and an adjunct to events in Wimbledon.

The Crooked Billet is a pub at 14–15 Crooked Billet, facing onto Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London. The building dates from the early 18th century and became the Crooked Billet during the 1750s. The district of Wimbledon called Crooked Billet may have taken its name from the pub.In 1888 Young's Brewery leased the Crooked Billet pub, and bought the freehold in 1928. In 1974 Young's Brewery purchased the nearby Hand in Hand. After the pubs were enlarged and refurbished, they were sold in 2006. The pubs are separated from the green. In Wright's Alley, ale was historically delivered to customers by Shire horses pulling brewer's drays.Along with the Hand in Hand, the Crooked Billet faces onto a small triangular green. Nearby can be found King's College School. Eagle House and Wimbledon House are also in the vicinity.The pub's cellars are said to be haunted by the ghost of an Irish woman.

Chester House is a Grade II listed house on the west side of Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London, built in about 1700 or earlier.The radical politician and reformer John Horne Tooke lived there from 1792 until his death in 1812.

King's College School, also known as Wimbledon, KCS, King's and KCS Wimbledon, is a public school (day school, no boarding) in Wimbledon, southwest London, England. The school was founded in 1829 by King George IV, as the junior department of King's College London and had part of the school's premises in Strand, prior to relocating to Wimbledon in 1897. KCS is a member of the Eton Group of schools. It is predominantly a boys' school but accepts girls into the Sixth Form. In the Sixth Form pupils can choose between the International Baccalaureate and A-Level qualifications.

West Lodge is a Grade II listed house on the west side of Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London, built in 1894, and designed by E. J. May.

West Side House is a Grade II listed house on the west side of Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London, built in about 1760 or earlier.Spencer Gore, who won the first Wimbledon lawn tennis championship in 1877 and played for Surrey County Cricket Club, was born and raised at West Side House.

Hanford Row is a Grade II listed row of six terraced houses set back from the west side of Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London, that was built in the 1760s. These six labourers' cottages were named after their builder, William Hanford, a London businessman. The steep mansard roofs with dormer windows were a later addition.

Stamford House is a Grade II listed house on the west side of Wimbledon Common, Wimbledon, London, built in about 1720.Stamford House housed a "series of local vicars", and later became a school.From 1926 to 1940, there was a theosophical community living at Stamford House, led by Edward Lewis Gardner (1869-1969), who was a leading member of the Theosophical Society in England, and its general secretary from 1924 to 1928.Soldiers were billeted here during the Second World War, after which it was converted into nine flats.

Cannizaro Park is a public park in Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton. Located towards the south-western edge of Wimbledon Common, it is known for its ornamental landscaped gardens with ponds and sculpture. The park is Grade II* listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

The Kier (sometimes The Keir) is a Grade II listed house on the west side of Wimbledon Common, built in 1789, later extended and now subdivided into nine flats.The house was built in 1789 for the Aguilar family of Portuguese Jews. In 1812, it was acquired by the McEvoy family, who were Roman Catholics. They enlarged the garden by demolishing some cottages, converting one into a Victorian Gothic residence for their personal chaplain and another into a private chapel. In 1850, what was #24 became known as The Kier. Around 1922, it became a girls' finishing school. In 1932, it was bought by the owner of nearby Cannizaro House, who converted it into nine flats and added much of the garden (including the private chapel) to that of Cannizaro House, now Cannizaro Park.Recorded occupants of The Keir include: Abraham Aguilar (1789), Christopher McEvoy (1810), Peter McEvoy (1838), Lady Cunyngham (1886), Thomas and Mrs Rudd (1891–1906), Lord Kensington (1925). and Richardson Evans (1846–1928), a British civil servant, journalist and author.

Donhead is an all-male private, preparatory day school located in Wimbledon, in the London Borough of Merton. The school is under the governance of the Jesuits, a Catholic religious order founded by Ignatius of Loyola in 1540. Donhead takes boys aged 4 to 11, after which they often continue their secondary education at various independent schools across London and Catholic public schools such as the Oratory School and Stonyhurst College.

A bust of the Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie formerly stood in Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon Common, London. A work of the sculptor Hilda Seligman, it was destroyed in June 2020.
