The John Monash Science School is a government-funded co-educational academically selective and specialist secondary day school, located on the Clayton campus of Monash University, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school specialises in science and technologies and is the state's first specialist science secondary school. A joint venture between the Government of Victoria and Monash University, the school opened in 2009 with one Year 10 class; and as of 2010 it was running at its full capacity of approximately 660 students. The school is named in honour of Sir John Monash.

Monash University Faculty of Law, or Monash Law School, is the law school of Monash University. Founded in 1963, it is based in Melbourne, Victoria and has campuses in Malaysia and Italy. It is consistently ranked as one of the top law schools in Australia and globally, and entry to its Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme is highly competitive. The Faculty of Law offers the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), with which students may combine other degrees as part of a double degree, the Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). It currently has approximately 3,914 undergraduate and postgraduate students and over 100 professors, lecturers and teaching associates.The Faculty of Law's alumni include the former Treasurer of Australia Josh Frydenberg, the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria Anne Ferguson, judges of the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Victoria and Supreme Court of New South Wales, the leader of the Australian Greens Adam Bandt, the current Attorney-General of Victoria Jill Hennessy, members of the Australian Parliament, legal scholars, state politicians, prominent businesspersons, artists and media personalities. The Monash University Law Review is the Faculty of Law's flagship academic journal. It is managed by students and supervised by faculty advisors.

The Monash University shooting was a mass shooting in which a 36-year-old international student killed students William Wu and Steven Chan, both 26, and injured five others including the lecturer. It took place at Monash University, in Melbourne, on 21 October 2002. The gunman, Huan Yun Xiang, was acquitted of crimes related to the shootings due to mental impairment, and is currently under psychiatric care. Several of the people present in the room of the shootings were officially commended for their bravery in tackling Xiang and ending the shooting.

Monash Tech School is one of ten Tech Schools funded by the Victorian State Government. Its name is linked to STEM education and references 'Technology' rather than 'Technical' training. It is hosted by Monash University and administrated by John Monash Science School. Monash Tech School is located at Monash University in Clayton. The Tech School is a shared learning centre that provides real-world experiences to secondary students from partner government schools to amplify their achievement and engagement in STEM. With currently three-quarters of occupations require sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills. Their programs bring together design thinking, prototyping skills and product delivery that allows students to build their technical and interpersonal skills. Each program incorporates industry, tertiary and research know-how and engages our partner school teachers in professional learning.

The Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP) is a cluster of commercial and university enterprises and research centres based at Monash University's Clayton Campus. The STRIP was officially opened on 18 February 2010 by Nobel laureate Professor Elizabeth Blackburn.Monash STRIP houses many of Australia's major scientific research centres and companies, including the Australian Stem Cell Centre (Australia's National Biotechnology Centre of Excellence), Stem Cell Sciences Pty Ltd, Nanovic (Nanotechnology Victoria), the Victorian Institute of Chemical Sciences, the National Printing Laboratory, the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute and the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories. It is also home to many of the university's departments within the School of Biomedical Sciences, namely microbiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, as well as anatomy and developmental biology. The John Monash Science School, a selective secondary school for students with a high aptitude for mathematics and sciences, is located adjacent to the STRIP. The location of the cluster – Clayton – places it in the centre of Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. This area contains the greatest density of high technology industries in Victoria. As more and more businesses develop within the STRIP, it is anticipated that adjacent university land will be used to accommodate increased industry presence. Other research facilities at the Clayton Campus include the ANSTO's Australian Synchrotron and the CSIRO, which are both closely involved with some of the tenants at Monash STRIP. The STRIP 2 buildings won the 2009 Master Builders Award for Excellence in Construction, in the category of commercial buildings between $30m–$80m.

The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) is an Australian medical research institute. Opened in April 2009, the institute is based at the Clayton campus of Monash University, in the Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct. ARMI is one of the world's largest regenerative medicine and stem cell research hubs. Its research aims to restore and regenerate damaged tissue and organs by injecting or implanting cells to allow the human body to heal and recover. Research focuses on developing effective treatments for a range of currently incurable diseases, such as cancer, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, as well as neurotrauma. In addition, ARMI is also looking at technologies to treat ageing itself via regeneration. Facilities at the Institute include FishCore, the largest zebrafish facility of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Hutton-Westfold Observatory is an observatory for Monash University located on Martin St near the Clayton Campus, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It opened to the public on 23 March 2009. The name Hutton-Westfold is derived from the names of Don Hutton and Kevin Westfold who contributed to the field of astronomy as well as the education of students at Monash. The observatory houses a 27.5 cm aperture Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope, which has a field of view of approximately 7'×5' (7 arcminutes by 5 arcminutes).

The Australian Stem Cell Centre is an Australian medical research and development centre which focuses on regenerative medicine through the use of stem cells. Founded in 2003, the Centre is the National Biotechnology Centre of Excellence and has received over $100 million in funding in recent years. It is Australia's premier stem cell research organisation.In June 2008, the Centre announced that it had begun working on induced pluripotent (iPS) cells (human embryonic stem cells, artificially created without human eggs or embryos). This was the first time in Australia that such research had been carried out, and the first time that scientists had worked on this type of stem cell outside the US or Japan.It is based at Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct and was founded by nine leading Australian universities and medical research institutes.One of the founders of the Centre is Dr Alan Trounson, a Monash scientist who was part of the team that delivered Australia's first IVF baby in 1980. Trounson has also made several ground-breaking discoveries in stem cell research. In 2000, Trounson led the team of scientists which first reported nerve stem cells derived from embryonic stem cells, which led to a dramatic increase in interest in the potential of stem cell research.

Monash University, Clayton campus is the main campus of Monash University located in Clayton, which is a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, in the state of Victoria. The campus covers an area of over 1.1 km² and is the largest of the Monash University campuses, both in terms of size and student population. The Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) is a research institute in the injury prevention field. The centre is located at the Clayton Campus of Monash University in Victoria, Australia. The centre was founded in 1987 as a joint venture between the Victorian Government and Monash University in an effort to lower the state's road toll. During its formative years, MUARC undertook significant road safety research such as an in-depth crash investigation for the Federal Office of Road Safety and an evaluation of the effectiveness of Victoria's mobile speed cameras. Its research is interdisciplinary and addresses injury prevention needs across the three main themes of Home and community safety, Workplace safety, and Transport safety.Throughout its history, the centre has formed partnerships with key agencies across the field of injury prevention. Its Baseline Research Program is commissioned by Transport for Victoria, the TAC, VicRoads, the Department of Justice, Victoria Police, and the Department of Health and Human Services. MUARC is also a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Violence and Injury Prevention.MUARC's headquarters feature advanced driving simulation facilities that are claimed to be unmatched in Australia. These facilities include a full car simulator, motorbike simulator, cycle simulator, portable car simulator and a truck simulator. MUARC staff are drawn from the academic disciplines of biostatistics, computer science, human factors, medicine, nursing, epidemiology, statistics, engineering, industrial ergonomics, disaster resilience, psychology, public health, policy, and education. The centre serves as a postgraduate school offering a Doctor of Philosophy course. Its disaster resilience unit, the Monash University Disaster Resilience Initiative (MUDRI), also offers a master's degree.

Monash Children's Hospital is a major children's hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Monash Children's Hospital is part of Monash Health, Victoria's largest healthcare service and one of only four accredited Academic Health Science Centres in Australia.The hospital includes Victoria's largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provides a full range of specialist services including surgical care, oncology, and rehabilitation services.It is home to Victoria's only dedicated children's sleep science, is a state-wide referral service for thalassemia, and is a provider of fetal surgery services in partnership with Royal Women's Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women, Melbourne.Its services are linked to an adult service, allowing the hospital to provide transition-of-care as children grow older and move to an adult service.

The Monash Institute of Medical Research (MIMR), was an Australian medical research institute located in the Melbourne suburb of Clayton, Victoria, consisting of 400 scientists and students belonging to the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. In January 2014 the Institute merged with Prince Henry's Institute of Medical Research and has since been renamed the Hudson Institute of Medical Research.The focus of the work of MIMR was research into the characterisation and application of stem cells, the cause and treatment of inflammation and cancer, and the improvement of women's, men's and children's health. The reputation of MIMR has been built on advances in assisted human reproduction, the reduction of Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), advances in stem cell research and the treatment of arthritis. Together with the collaborative resources of Monash University and the Monash Health Research Precinct, the impact of MIMR research by translation from 'bench to bedside' is increased by the commercialisation of its activities.
