Porth Nanven (grid reference SW355307; most well known as Cot Valley and occasionally known as Penanwell) is a beach in the far west of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is located half-a-mile west of the town of St Just. The beach is at the seaward end of the Cot Valley and is part of the Aire Point To Carrick Du Site of Special Scientific Interest.Porth Nanven has sometimes been referred to as 'Dinosaur Egg Beach' in the media because of a remarkable deposit of ovoid boulders covering the beach and foreshore. These boulders come in all sizes, from hen's egg to a metre or more in length, and have proved so tempting as souvenirs that they are now legally protected by the National Trust which owns the beach. Many visitors assume that these weirdly shaped boulders are the work of the sea, which they are, but the sea of 120,000 years ago. Sea levels have changed several times since then and are now much lower, causing the ancient beach to be suspended in the cliff above the present level. Stand on the beach and look back towards the cliff, and you will see a wall of the rounded rocks waiting to break away and join those on the beach today. Work was completed in December 2005 on diverting and treating the sewage which used to be deposited offshore here; it is now safe to swim in the cove. Cot Valley is located half-a-mile south of St Just in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It has a very mild microclimate.The stream which runs down the valley discharges into the Atlantic Ocean at Nanven. This area of Cornwall was once mined for tin (see Mining in Cornwall for details) as evidenced today by the ruins along the stream. There is a settlement in Cot Valley and a Youth Hostel. The valley is secluded and is home to a variety of wildlife. Birdwatchers visit in autumn to see rare vagrants and migratory birds. More recently Cornish choughs have been seen in the valley; other birds regularly seen include buzzards, tawny owls, and stonechats. From the mouth of the valley at Porth Nanven, seals are frequently seen and occasionally dolphins and basking sharks.

Priest Cove (Cornish: Porth Ust, meaning St Just's Cove) or Priest's Cove is a small cove one mile (1.6 km) west of St Just, Cornwall, UK. The name is from the Cornish Porth Ust, the port or cove of St Just, which was shortened to Por’ Ust. The apostrophised name "Priest’s" is a spelling mistake and the site has no connection with the clergy.

Cape Cornwall (Cornish: Kilgoodh, meaning "goose back") is a small headland in West Cornwall, England. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Land's End near the town of St Just. Until the first Ordnance Survey in the early 19th-century, Cape Cornwall was believed to be the most westerly point in Cornwall.Most of the headland is owned by the National Trust. National Coastwatch has a look-out on the seaward side. The only tourist infrastructure at present is a car park (owned by the National Trust), public toilets, and a refreshments counter during the summer. The Brisons, two offshore rocks, are located approximately 1 mi (1.6 km) southwest of Cape Cornwall. They mark the starting line of the annual swimming race ending at Priest Cove.

Kenidjack Valley (Cornish: Keunyjek, meaning place abounding in firewood), sometimes referred to as Nancherrow Valley (Cornish: Nanj Erow, meaning acre valley), is a steep-sided valley in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The Tregeseal River flows down the valley and discharges into the Atlantic a few hundred yards north of Cape Cornwall 50.130°N 5.703°W / 50.130; -5.703, half-a-mile north-east of the village of St Just. The valley was an important area of tin mining and the remains of Wheal Owles, Wheal Castle, Boswedden Mine and the Kenidjack arsenic works are still visible. The shallow adit from the Wheal Boys lode to the valley probably dates before 1670. Gunpowder, for blasting mines in Cornwall, was introduced to Cornwall shortly after 1670, and the shallow adit does not show any evidence of blasting.Today the valley is popular for hiking and birdwatching.

Cape Cornwall Mine was a tin mine on Cape Cornwall, a cape at the western tip of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It operated intermittently between 1838 and 1883, after which time it closed permanently and the engine house was demolished. The mine's 1864 chimney near the peak of the cape was retained as an aid to navigation, and in the early 20th century the former ore dressing floors were for a time converted into greenhouses and wineries. In 1987 the site was donated to the nation by the H. J. Heinz Company. The remains of Cape Cornwall Mine now form part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Since 2006 it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape. The mine is within the Aire Point to Carrick Du Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the South West Coast Path passes along the cliff.

Cape Cornwall School is a coeducational secondary school located in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall, England. As of January 2022, the school had 270 pupils aged 11 to 16 years. The Head Teacher is Jon Hall.
