Helvoirt

Haaren (Dutch: [ɦaːrən]) is a town and former municipality in the southern Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The former municipality of Haaren ceased to exist on 1 January 2021. It was divided among four municipalities: Boxtel, Oisterwijk, Tilburg, and Vught. The former municipality of Haaren contained three other villages: Helvoirt, Esch, and Biezenmortel. An unusual thing about the municipality was that it belonged to two regions, Tilburg and 's-Hertogenbosch. The village belongs to the region of Tilburg. The eastern part of national park the Loonse en Drunense Duinen was part of the municipality. Haaren is known as 'The Garden of Brabant' because of the many plantations of trees, plants etc.

Nieuw Vosseveld is a prison in Vught, Netherlands, part of the Custodial Institutions Agency (Dutch: Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen, DJI) of the Ministry of Justice and Security within the Dutch criminal justice system. Penitentiaire Inrichting Vught (English: Penitentiary Institution Vught) is now the general term used instead of Nieuw Vosseveld. Part of Nieuw Vosseveld is a maximum security prison; it holds some of Europe's most dangerous criminals, including Mohammed Bouyeri and Ridouan Taghi.

Heikant is a former hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It was located about 2 km northwest of Helvoirt (now municipality of Vught). The hamlet is mentioned by the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, and shown on a map of the area. It is no longer considered to be a separate hamlet, although the houses and a street named "De Heikant" still exist. Heikant should not be confused with any of the other hamlets named Heikant in the Netherlands.

National Monument Camp Vught is a memorial site with a museum located in Vught, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It commemorates the concentration camp known as Kamp Vught that was established there during World War II. The memorial was founded in 1990, with an exhibition building added in 2002. The monument is located on the northeastern tip of the former camp grounds.

Herzogenbusch (German pronunciation: [hɛʁtsoːɡn̩ˈbʊʃ] , Dutch: Kamp Vught) was a Nazi concentration camp located in Vught near the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. The camp was opened in 1943 and held 31,000 prisoners. 749 prisoners died in the camp, and the others were transferred to other camps shortly before Herzogenbusch was liberated by the Allied Forces in 1944. After the war, the camp was used as a prison for Germans and for Dutch collaborators. Today there is a visitors' center which includes exhibitions and a memorial remembering the camp and its victims.

Gever is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Oisterwijk, between the towns of Haaren and Oisterwijk.Gever is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Haaren. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 30 houses.It was first mentioned in 1311 as Godevaard van de Gever. The etymology is unclear.

The Monument to the Lost Children (also known as the Children's Monument) is a memorial in Vught, Netherlands. The monument is located on the grounds of the National Monument Camp Vught and was erected to commemorate the children's transports on June 6 and 7, 1943, from Camp Vught via Camp Westerbork to Sobibór. More than a thousand Jewish children and their parents were transported under the pretense of relocation to a special children's camp. Upon arrival at the extermination camp Sobibór in occupied Poland, they were immediately gassed.
