Little Muskingum River

Reno is a census-designated place in southern Marietta Township, Washington County, Ohio, United States. It has a post office with the ZIP code 45773. It is located on the Ohio River a short distance below the county seat of Marietta. State Route 7 forms its main street. The population was 1,129 at the 2020 census.

Carpenter Run is a stream in the U.S. state of West Virginia.The creek has the name of Nicholas Carpenter who was ambushed by Indians near the site in 1791.

The Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge (ORINWR) is a National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in non-contiguous sites consisting of islands along 362 miles (583 km) of the Ohio River, primarily (85% of acreage) in the U.S. state of West Virginia. There are also two islands that are located upstream in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and a pair that are located downstream in Lewis County, Kentucky.Looking downstream, the refuge is currently located in parts of these counties: Beaver, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, Pleasants, Wood, Jackson, Mason, and Lewis. All counties are part of West Virginia, with the Pennsylvania and Kentucky exceptions that are mentioned above.

Buckley Island is an island on the Ohio River in Wood County, West Virginia between Marietta, Ohio and Williamstown, West Virginia. The Interstate 77 bridge over the Ohio crosses the island's western portion. Throughout its history, Buckley Island has also been known as Kerrs Island, Duvall Island, and Meigs Island. The island is a part of the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge and can only be accessed by boat.The earliest known reference to the island is a 1770 journal entry by George Washington who was surveying the area at the time. In 1897, the Buckeye and Eureka Pipeline Company bought the island and turned it into an amusement park. In 1907, a flood washed away much of the park. The Buckley family bought the island in 1911 and it remained in their family until it was sold to the Fish and Wildlife Service for $400,000 in 1998.The Muskingum River empties into the Ohio River just below Buckley Island while the Little Muskingum River empties just above it.

The Marietta–Williamstown Interstate Bridge is a four-lane truss bridge carries Interstate 77 between Williamstown, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio. The bridge was completed in 1967 and it was rehabilitated in 2003.

As of the 2010 census, its population was 395. It lies along the Ohio River on West Virginia Route 2, northeast of the city of Parkersburg, the county seat of Wood County. Bethel Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church at 7132 Old St. Marys Pike in Waverly, Wood County, West Virginia. The brick Gothic Revival structure was built in 1904, replacing an earlier wood-frame building. It is the only surviving rural brick church in Wood County.The church building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport (IATA: PKB, ICAO: KPKB, FAA LID: PKB) is seven miles northeast of Parkersburg, in Wood County, West Virginia. It is owned by the Wood County Airport Authority and is also known as Wood County Airport or Gill Robb Wilson Field. It serves the Mid-Ohio Valley area which includes the Ohio cities of Marietta and Belpre and the West Virginia cities of Williamstown, Parkersburg and Vienna. It has scheduled passenger service subsidized by the Essential Air Service program. The Federal Aviation Administration says the airport had 5,275 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 5,930 in 2009 and 5,477 in 2010. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a non-primary commercial service airport.The first airline flights were American DC-3s in 1946. All American arrived in 1949 and Piedmont in 1955; Lake Central replaced American in 1961. The first jets were Allegheny at the end of 1976; Piedmont pulled out in 1979 and Allegheny Commuter replaced Allegheny in 1980.

Williamstown is a city in Wood County, West Virginia, United States, along the Ohio River. It is part of the Parkersburg–Vienna metropolitan area. The population was 2,997 at the 2020 census. The now closed Fenton Art Glass Company was located in the city.
