Buckley Island

The Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge (ORINWR) is a National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in non-contiguous sites consisting of islands along 362 miles (583 km) of the Ohio River, primarily (85% of acreage) in the U.S. state of West Virginia. There are also two islands that are located upstream in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and a pair that are located downstream in Lewis County, Kentucky.Looking downstream, the refuge is currently located in parts of these counties: Beaver, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, Pleasants, Wood, Jackson, Mason, and Lewis. All counties are part of West Virginia, with the Pennsylvania and Kentucky exceptions that are mentioned above.

Duck Creek is a tributary of the Ohio River, approximately 30 mi (50 km) long, in southeastern Ohio in the United States. Via the Ohio River, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. It drains an area of the Unglaciated Allegheny Plateau, between the watersheds of the Muskingum and Little Muskingum Rivers.

The Marietta–Williamstown Interstate Bridge is a four-lane truss bridge carries Interstate 77 between Williamstown, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio. The bridge was completed in 1967 and it was rehabilitated in 2003.

Marietta Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Washington County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census found 4,265 people in the township.

The Williamstown Bridge is a bridge over the Ohio River between Williamstown, West Virginia, and Marietta, Ohio. The bridge carries West Virginia Route 31 and Ohio State Route 60. U.S. Route 21 was also formerly routed along this bridge.

Williamstown is a city in Wood County, West Virginia, United States, along the Ohio River. It is part of the Parkersburg–Vienna metropolitan area. The population was 2,997 at the 2020 census. The now closed Fenton Art Glass Company was located in the city.

The Little Muskingum River is a tributary of the Ohio River, approximately 65 mi (105 km) long, in southeast Ohio in the United States. It rises in the hill country of Monroe County, approximately 5 mi (8 km) northwest of the Ohio River and 8 mi (13 km) southeast of Woodsfield. It flows southwest, in a tight meandering course, roughly parallel to, and staying within 8 mi (13 km) of the Ohio. It passes Rinard Mills and Dart, and joins the Ohio approximately 5 mi (8 km) southeast of Marietta, Ohio and the mouth of the Muskingum River, which enters the Ohio from the northwest. Duck Creek enters the Ohio between the mouth of the Muskingum and Little Muskingum. All except the last 2 mi (3.2 km) of the river are within Wayne National Forest.

WCMO (98.5 FM) is a low-power (4-watt) student-operated radio station at Marietta College, in the United States. The station serves the Marietta, Ohio area. WCMO broadcasts many of the sporting events at Marietta College. The station is owned and operated by the college.

WMRT (88.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a classical music format. WMRT also plays jazz weekday afternoons. Licensed to Marietta, Ohio, United States, it serves the Parkersburg-Marietta area. The station is currently owned and by Marietta College and is run almost entirely by students.

Williamstown High School is a public high school in Williamstown, West Virginia, United States.

Marietta is a city in, and the county seat of, Washington County, Ohio, United States. It is located in southeastern Ohio at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers, 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Parkersburg, West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, Marietta has a population of 13,385 people. It is the principal city of the Marietta micropolitan area, which includes all of Washington County, and is the second-largest city in the Parkersburg–Marietta–Vienna combined statistical area. Founded in 1788 by pioneers to the Ohio Country, Marietta was the first permanent U.S. settlement in the newly established Northwest Territory, created in 1787, and what would later become the state of Ohio. It is named for Marie Antoinette, then Queen of France, in honor of French aid in the American Revolution. The area was inhabited by various native tribes of the Hopewell tradition, who built the Marietta Earthworks, a complex more than 1,500 years old, whose Great Mound and other major monuments were preserved by the earliest settlers in parks such as Mound Cemetery. Since 1835 the city has been home to Marietta College, a private, nonsectarian liberal arts school with approximately 1,200 students. Leading up to the American Civil War, the city was a station on the Underground Railroad.

Marietta College (MC) is a private liberal arts college in Marietta, Ohio. It offers more than 50 undergraduate majors across the arts, sciences, and engineering, as well as Physician Assistant, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Athletic Training graduate programs. Its campus encompasses approximately three city blocks next to downtown Marietta and enrolls 1,200 full-time students.
