Lewin's Mead is an area of Bristol, England, part of the city ward of Cabot, in the historic centre of the city, lying just outside the former medieval town walls. Several old buildings survive, including the Unitarian Chapel constructed in the late 18th century, an old sugar house and the ancient thoroughfare known as Christmas Steps. The 13th century St Bartholomew's Hospital which became Bristol Grammar School in the 16th century is situated at the bottom of Christmas Steps.

The organisation was founded in 1928, building on the Bristol Boys & Girls Club.It now runs 9 youth clubs and provides community-based youth services including outdoor activities, mobile youth services, creative arts, outdoor employment, and informal educational programmes for young people. One of the largest clubs is the Broad Plain Boys' Club where the building was adorned with a Banksy mural. This was later sold, with the permission of Banksy, to raise money for the club. The records of many of the constituent clubs are held by Bristol Archives.It is a registered charity Number: 301681 and the local county organisation of the Boys and Girls Club National Association. The headquarters is in the old fitre station, which is part of the same complex as the Central Police Station, a Grade II listed building in Silver Street.In March 2018, Young Bristol was shortlisted as a finalist in the local apprenticeship of the Year awards. In April 2018, Young Bristol announced that Jonathan Webb was taking over as the president of the organisation. In 2020, Young Bristol was awarded, The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

John Wesley's New Room is a historic building in Broadmead, Bristol, England. Opened in 1739, it housed the earliest Methodist societies, and was enlarged in 1748. As the oldest purpose-built Methodist preaching house (chapel), it has been designated by Historic England as a Grade I listed building.A Methodist museum is housed in the preachers' rooms above the chapel. The courtyards around the building contain statues of John Wesley and his brother Charles.

The Crown is a historic pub in Bristol, England, near to St Nicholas Market, an area known as "the Old City". The Crown was built in the 18th century and is a Grade II listed building.It was built on the medieval Bristol Tolzey Court. This court had been a meeting place for Bristol's merchants, and had jurisdiction over a wide range of cases involving damage claims or disputed debts. The Crown has occupied this site since 1741. Originally it was the vaulted cellars that formed the original trading area. These were initially known as The Trap, but subsequently became known as The Crown Tap Cellar. Since the closure of the Eclipse in July 2006, the Crown now rivals the Hatchet as an alternative pub, which is popular with goths, punks, rockers, metalheads and emos.There are regular alternative clubs in the old cellar (known as the Trap) of the Crown. The cellar is also said to be haunted by a ghost of a gentleman from the 17th century wearing a periwig, who only appears to women.

The Bierkeller Theatre was a theatre in Broadmead, Bristol, England, located inside Bristol's oldest night club, the Bristol Bierkeller.Previously a host for the Bristol Shakespeare Festival, the Bierkeller Theatre officially opened in mid-January 2012, receiving local, national and international companies.The theatre announced its inaugural season, with a production "Rescue Me!", from the local company of actors FarOutMan Theatre. Since the opening of the theatre over 150 productions have been staged. An intern scheme for technical staff has been developed with the University of the West of England and Filton College. The theatre also works with students from Bath Spa University.The theatre reduced its output after the departure of artistic director, Alex MacMillan, in June 2014 and closed at the same time the Bristol Bierkeller shut down in January 2018.

Wine Street, together with High Street, Broad Street and Corn Street, is one of the four cross streets which met at the Bristol High Cross, the heart of Bristol, England when it was a walled mediaeval town. From this crossroads Wine Street runs along a level ridge approximately 175m north-eastwards to the top of Union Street.Wine Street was for centuries an important shopping street but, following wartime destruction and the decision to move Bristol's main shopping area to Broadmead, it now contains little notable architecture and acts as barrier between the Old City and Castle Park. Bristol City Council are now seeking to repair this by redeveloping the area.
