WAUK (540 AM) is a commercial progressive talk radio station licensed to the Washington County community of Jackson, Wisconsin, and serving the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is known on-air as The Sha 101 FM in reference to the station's Waukesha based FM translator. The station's studios and offices are in downtown Waukesha.The station is owned and operated by Michael Crute and Sage Weil's Civic Media with locally programmed progressive talk programing. WAUK shares the majority of its programming with Madison-based (and former Good Karma Brands sister station) WMDX with the majority of programing throughout the day live and locally based from studios at both stations. WAUK also carries several hours of Waukesha-centric programming a week.

The Washington County Courthouse and Jail in West Bend, Wisconsin is the historic former courthouse of Washington County, Wisconsin. It now holds the Tower Heritage Center, a museum and research center operated by the Washington County Historical Society. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is a 3.5-story building with an 8-story central tower designed by Edward V. Koch in Richardsonian Romanesque style and built 1889–90, with 1886 jail. It served as courthouse until 1962.

The West Bend station, otherwise known as the West Bend Chicago and North Western Depot is a historic railroad station in West Bend, Wisconsin. The depot was designed in 1900 by the firm Frost and Granger in the Craftsman style for the Chicago and North Western Railway (C&NW). It is a variation of the C&NW "Number One" combination depot design. Passenger service to the depot ended in 1971, with the creation of Amtrak. The depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 2008.

Little Cedar Lake is a lake in Southeastern Wisconsin; United States. It is located at the geographic center of Washington County, in the Town of West Bend, and Town of Polk. The lake covers an area of 246 acres (1 km2), has a shoreline of 4.5 miles (7 km), and reaches a maximum depth of 56 feet (17 m). Its source is Cedar Creek which flows into the northwest side of the lake, and its outflow is Cedar Creek, which continues to flow south at the bottom a small dam at the extreme southern tip of the lake. Spring, summer and autumn activities on the lake include boating, fishing, and water skiing. In winter the lake freezes over completely with ice up to 36 inches thick, Winter activities on the lake include ice fishing and snowmobiling. Many species of fish are found in Little Cedar Lake, including northern pike, walleye, rock bass, smallmouth bass, bluegills, carp, and bullheads. The Lake is located approximately 30 mi (48 km) NNW of Milwaukee, and 5 mi (8.0 km) SW of the City of West Bend.
