Bebek Mosque (Turkish: Bebek Camii), officially Hümayûn-u Âbad Mosque (Ottoman Turkish: Hümayûn-u Âbad Cami for: Prosperous Imperial Mosque) is a 1913-built mosque located in Bebek neighborhood of Beşiktaş district in Istanbul, Turkey. Bebek Mosque was designed by Mimar Kemaleddin (1870–1927) in the architectural style of First national architectural movement, and built in Bebek on the place of a mosque, which was commissioned by Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha (1666–1730).It is situated inside a courtyard surrounded by low concrete walls on Cevdet Paşa Cad. behind the Bebek Pier in Bebek Bay on Bosphorus. The mosque has a square plan, and is built in limestone ashlar. The main dome is supported by four half domes sitting on eight frames. It has six arched windows, two each in the front and back, and one each at sides, and 28 small arched windows in total above them. The mosque has a polygonal minaret on a high base adjacent to the western wall. The underside of the minaret balcony is decorated with three lines of muqarnas. Minaret's entrance is next to the narthex outside the mosque.

Bebek Bay is a small bay on the Bosphorus, in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. It was formerly a resort area that was home to a palace of the Ottoman sultan.

Bebek is a historic Istanbul neighbourhood that falls within the boundaries and administration of the Beşiktaş district. It is located on Bebek Bay along the European shores of the Bosphorus strait and is surrounded by similarly affluent neighbourhoods such as Arnavutköy and Etiler. The literal meaning of the word "Bebek" in Turkish is "baby", which is a reference to the neighborhood's attractive positioning on the Bosphorus with its deep, sheltered bay and sweeping views in both directions along the waterway. It is believed to be a shortened form of "Boğaz'ın gözbebeği", which translates, literally, as "the pupil of the Bosphorus", or more appropriately, "the apple of Bosphorus' eye", as the literal translation of "pupil" in Turkish is "eye baby". Bebek was a popular residential district under Ottoman rule, and continues to be so today. Its population reflected the diverse society of the time, which is still visible in Bebek's historic architecture and contemporary constituencies. Bebek is also home to Boğaziçi University, a public university established that is one of Turkey's premier institutions of higher education. The university occupies the buildings and grounds of the now-defunct higher education division of Robert College, a historic American academic institution founded in 1863 by wealthy New York merchant Christopher Robert and American missionary and educator Cyrus Hamlin. Following the coeducational merger of the formerly all-male Robert College with its sister school, the American College for Girls, all operations of the former were moved from Bebek to the wooded Arnavutköy campus of the latter, where it continues to operate.

Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, formerly named Hisarüstü, is an underground rapid transit station on the M6 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in northeast Beşiktaş under Hisar Üstü Nispetiye Avenue. The station is named after the Boğaziçi University which is located right next to it. A funicular railway is planned between Hisarüstü and Aşiyan, on the Bosphorus.

Etiler is an underground station on the M6 line of the Istanbul Metro in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. It is located beneath Nispetiye Avenue in Etiler. The stations consists of an island platform serviced by two tracks. The Etiler station was opened on 19 April 2015, along with the entire M6 line.

Baltalimanı is a neighborhood at a bay of the European coast of Bosporus, in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey. The name means "axe port" in Turkish. The place is known for the Treaty of Balta Liman, signed between Great Britain and the Ottoman Empire in 1838.

Boğaziçi University (Turkish: Boğaziçi Üniversitesi) is a major research university in Istanbul, Turkey. Its main campus is located on the European side of the Bosphorus strait. It has six faculties and two schools offering undergraduate degrees, and six institutes offering graduate degrees. Traditionally, the language of instruction is English. Despite the fact of there being no official statement, the university is also, and alternatively, referred to as the "Bosphorus University".Founded in 1863, as Robert College, it is the first American higher education institution founded outside the United States. Though under entirely Turkish administration today, the university still maintains strong ties to the American educational system. Boğaziçi University consistently ranks highest in Turkey, having the greatest number of applicants via Turkish university entrance examinations which makes it the most selective state university in Turkey. The well-known programs are electrical and electronics engineering, computer engineering, and industrial engineering. Only the top 800 of the approximately 1.8 million participants in the annual Turkish university entrance examination (TYT-AYT) are admitted to register for these subjects at the university. To be admitted into other degree programs, one usually has to be in the top 1% of the university entrance exam as well. This allows Boğaziçi University to attract many of the highest scoring students; as well as having the most preferred applied science, education, engineering, and social science programs in Turkey.

Aşiyan is a quarter between Bebek and Rumelihisarı in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus. Aşiyan Museum and Aşiyan Asri Cemetery are located in the quarter.

Arnavutköy (meaning "Albanian village" in Turkish) is a historic neighbourhood in Istanbul, Turkey renowned for its wooden Ottoman mansions and seafood restaurants, as well as the campus of the prestigious Robert College with its historic buildings. It is part of the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, and is located between Ortaköy and Bebek on the European shoreline of the Bosphorus strait.

Anaplous or Promotou was a town of ancient Thrace on the Bosphorus, inhabited during Byzantine times.Its site is tentatively located near Arnavutköy in European Turkey.

Aşiyan is a planned underground station and the eastern terminus of the under construction F4 funicular line of the Istanbul Metro in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. The station will be located next to the Aşiyan Park, along Cevdet Paşa Avenue on the Bosphorus strait in Bebek. The station is expected to open, along with the F4 line, in April-2022.
