Khlong Chong Nonsi

Wat Chong Nonsi (Thai: วัดช่องนนทรี, pronounced [wát t͡ɕʰɔ̂ŋ nōn.sīː]) is a Thai Buddhist temple of the late Ayutthaya period. The temple is adjacent to the edge of Chao Phraya river on the east side of Bangkok in the area known as Chong Nonsi. The front of the temple faces the east likewise because it is the range where the river flows upward, opposite the side of Samut Prakan's Bang Kachao. The main construction is the ubosot (ordination hall). It is the junk-like bending hall with five rooms, two porches, which looks like Mhaaud Church. The front of the ubosot is made as a second projecting portico, with four pillars supporting the roof timbers. The gable is made as a carved-wooden partition without patterns. The roof is wavy, made of tiles, then plastered with cement adjacent to the eavea. The front of the hall has cetiyas (pagodas) and bai sema (stone boundary makers) stones lined up. The internal part houses the Buddha statue in subduing Mara posture, enshrined as the principal Buddha image, with the other four Buddha images spectacularly arranged in tiers. They are placed in pairs in an indenting way. At the base of the Buddha image, there is also gorgeous stucco with the lion's legs finely designed as the picture of garuda. The inside of the ubosot has mural paintings that narrate Jataka Tales, starting from the left wall of the principal Buddha image counterclockwise until completing ten stories. The front wall above the doorway is painted with the picture of Maravijaya. The paintings at Wat Chong Nonsi represent the pictures of the Ayutthaya period. This temple is one of the places where such paintings are completely extant, which may be contemporary with the paintings at Wat Prasat, Nonthaburi.

Yan Nawa or Yannawa (Thai: ยานนาวา, pronounced [jāːn nāːwāː]) is one of the 50 districts (khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by (clockwise from west to northeast) Rat Burana (across Chao Phraya River), Bang Kho Laem, Sathon, and Khlong Toei Districts of Bangkok. Its neighbor from east to south is Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan province.

Chong Nonsi (Thai: ช่องนนทรี, pronounced [t͡ɕʰɔ̂ŋ nōn.sīː]) is one of the two khwaengs (sub-districts) of Yan Nawa District, Bangkok rim Chao Phraya River. In late 2018 it had a population of 48,277 people, with total area of 9.984 km2 (round about 3.854 mi2). It is the location of the Yan Nawa District Office. This Sub-District is also divided into 13 communities.

The Tilleke & Gibbins Museum of Counterfeit Goods is a museum focused on intellectual property infringement in Yan Nawa District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is operated by Tilleke & Gibbins, a law firm with offices in Thailand and Vietnam. In the firm's Bangkok office on the 26th floor of Supalai Grand Tower, the museum is home to a variety of counterfeit and infringed goods that the firm has accumulated in its work.The museum receives over a thousand visitors each year. Local and international newspapers and magazines such as the Christian Science Monitor and Time magazine have published articles on the Tilleke & Gibbins museum.

New Sathorn International School (NSIS; Thai: โรงเรียนนานาชาติสาทรใหม่, RTGS: Rong Rian Nana Chat Sathon Mai) was a private PK-12 international school located in Yan Nawa District of Bangkok, Thailand, and is now permanently closed.

Si Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden (Thai: สวนสาธารณะและสวนพฤกษชาติ ศรีนครเขื่อนขันธ์) is a 148 rai (23.7 ha) public park and botanical garden in Bang Kachao, Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. The park has a 2.2 kilometres (1.4 mi) bike lane and is a popular cycling and birdwatching location.

Sarasas Ektra School (Thai: โรงเรียนสารสาสน์เอกตรา) is a Catholic bilingual co-educational school in central Bangkok. As of 2009, the school had approximately 2,900 students and conducted a fully bilingual program in Thai and English from kindergarten 1 (3-year-olds) to matayom 6 (17-year-olds). The school occupies three campuses in the Bang Phongphang Sub-district of Yan Nawa District. A nursery class for two-year-old children was introduced in May 2009. Sarasas Ektra is one of 24 Sarasas-affiliated schools, 15 of which have bilingual programs.

Mae Nam Station (Thai: สถานีแม่น้ำ) is a railway station of eastern line located in Chong Nonsi Subdistrict, Yan Nawa District, Bangkok's east bank of Chao Phraya River. The station is a class special railway station and is located 9.87 km (6.13 mi) from Hua Lamphong railway station and considered to be the next station of Makkasan railway station to south, the distance is about 4.7 km (2.9 mi) and is close to Khlong Toei Port, Khlong Toei Market and Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Khlong Toei District. This station is a special station of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). The station is not used for passenger services. It is a place for transporting cargoes and parcels includes fuels. There is a Chuea Phloeng Road (ถนนเชื้อเพลิง; lit: fuel road) between the platform and railway including no station sign like other stations. However, it is possible to book tickets in advance for general passengers.Moreover, the area around the station is approximately 227 rai (about 89.72 acres). It is considered as a suitable area for many real estate investment projects.

Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road (Thai: ถนนนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์) is a road in central Bangkok. It is a main transport route in the area of Bang Rak, Sathon and Yan Nawa districts. It's an eight-lane reinforced concrete road in the form of boulevard with a width of 60 metres (200 ft), a distance of 5,115 kilometres (3,178 mi). Starting from Surawong road in Suriyawong sub-district, Bang Rak district and heading southeast parallel to Khlong Chong Nonsi (Chong Nonsi canal), then cut with Si Lom road in the Si Lom sub-district, Bang Rak district, then cut with Sathon road in the area of Sathon district. The road in this portion is a boundary line between Thung Maha Mek and Yan Nawa sub-districts of Sathon district. Therefrom cut with Chan road in the area of Chong Nonsi sub-district, Yan Nawa district and cut with Ratchadaphisek road until end of convergence with Rama III road at Rama III - Naradhiwas junction or Chong Nonsi junction. Its name in honour of Princess Galyani Vadhana, Princess of Naradhiwas who was the elder sister of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) and King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). At first it was built it has no official name, later on it was given the name from King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1996.
