Sherman Phoenix is a shopping mall in the northwest side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It opened in 2018 after civil unrest in the city caused local leaders to collaborate and find a way to create a more "inclusive economy." The building was built out of a BMO Harris Bank building that had been burned during the city's unrest. The building features a mural by Detroit artist Sydney James, partially funded by Gener8tor, the startup accelerator. Black entrepreneurs across the country have been inspired by the mall. It struggled through its first years due to closures from the Covid-19 pandemic, but was able to survive through takeout orders and additional fundraising.The mall is located at 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave.

Sherman Park is a neighborhood, located on the northwest side of Milwaukee. It contains the neighborhoods of Grasslyn Manor, Sunset Heights, Roosevelt Grove, St. Joseph's and Uptown neighborhood.

Pattern is a temporary, site-specific public artwork by American artist Paula Schulze, located on the exterior of the former A.O. Smith office building near West Hopkins Street and North 27th Street in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The artwork, which consists of a series of curved, orange patterns painted on wood panels, was installed in September 2010.Pattern is located on the edge of a large industrial site that had beenoperated by A.O. Smith and Tower Automotive that is now under redevelopment. The brick building had been boarded up, and Schulze's design was mounted over the plywood covering the building's windows. Schulze is one of five Milwaukee artists commissioned by a nonprofit visual art presenter called IN:SITE to install temporary artworks at this location in cooperation with the 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corporation. Other participating artists are Marly Gisser, Sarah Luther, Colin Matthes, and Marla Sanvick. Schulze is primarily a printmaker. Pattern is her second temporary public art installation presented through IN:SITE.

The North Sherman Boulevard Historic District is a largely intact neighborhood of stylish homes built from 1907 to 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

All in the Air at Once is a public art work by artist Richard Taylor. It is located in front of the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) Field Headquarters northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Kindred Ties is a work of public art by Evelyn Patricia Terry located near the intersection of Fond du Lac Avenue, North Avenue and 21st Street on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The artwork, a bus shelter of painted metal and glass, was commissioned by the Spirit of Milwaukee Neighborhood Millennium Art Initiative. Terry created the work in collaboration with a team of local artists.

Washington High School of Information Technology is a magnet high school located in the Sherman Park neighborhood on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It is one of the oldest schools in the Milwaukee Public Schools system, and was founded in 1911. In September 2005 Washington was divided into three "schools within a school," which are divided among the school's four floors. These are the School of Law, Education, and Public Service; Washington High School of Expeditionary Learning; and Washington High School of Information Technology. In June 2010, LEAPS closed and was combined with EL and renamed Washington High School. The Washington High School of Information Technology, which continues the legacy of the Career Specialty Program begun in 1976, has continued to operate. In June 2011 the combined LEAPS and EL school was closed and merged into Washington High School of Information Technology, thus creating a single school again.

The Steuben Monument is a public art work by Swiss-American artist J. Otto Schweizer, located on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The bronze equestrian sculpture depicts Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben in his Revolutionary War uniform. It is located at the intersection of West Lisbon Avenue, Lloyd Street, and North Sherman Boulevard.

The 1947 Wisconsin earthquake took place on May 6, immediately south of Milwaukee at 15:25 (CST). It was the largest tremor to be historically documented in Wisconsin, but was not recorded by seismographs.

Fiserv Forum opened in late 2018, and hosts sporting events and concerts. Since 1968, Milwaukee has been home to Summerfest, one of the largest music festivals in the world. With regard to education, Milwaukee is home to the Medical College of Wisconsin, UW-Milwaukee, Marquette University, MSOE, and several other universities and colleges. The city is home to two major professional sports teams − the Bucks and the Brewers. It is home to several Fortune 500 companies, including Northwestern Mutual, WEC Energy Group, Rockwell Automation, and Harley-Davidson.

Lloyd Street Grounds was a baseball park located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was used by two different professional baseball clubs during 1895–1903. The field was situated about one mile northwest of downtown Milwaukee in the eastern part of a block bounded by West North Avenue on the north, North 16th Street on the east, North 18th Street on the west and West Lloyd Street on the south. The field faced due north, so Lloyd Street ran directly behind home plate and the grandstand.
