Museum of Lisbon

Pimenta Palace (Portuguese: Palácio Pimenta) is an 18th-century Portuguese palace located in Lisbon, Portugal, which hosts the main campus of the Museum of Lisbon.

Statues of King Afonso Henriques and King John I (Portuguese: Estátuas de D. Afonso Henriques e D. João I) are two stone statues in Lisbon, Portugal, located in the Mário Soares Garden, within the civil parish of Alvalade. They were made by Leopoldo de Almeida between 1946 and 1950, and dedicated to Afonso Henriques, first King of Portugal that ruled from 1139 to 1185, and John I, King of Portugal from to 1385 to 1433, and founder of the House of Aviz. They were originally placed in the atrium of the Lisbon City Hall, and relocated to their current location in 1997.

NOS Audiovisuais (formerly ZON Lusomundo) is a Portuguese integrated media corporation founded in 1953, which has major interests in movie distribution, cinema theaters and media assets. It was founded with the purpose of movie distribution, and had a very close relation with the biggest studios (it is currently the Portuguese licensee of United International Pictures, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Warner Home Video, Miramax Films and DreamWorks SKG). In the 1980s Lusomundo started acquiring newspapers, including Comércio do Porto, Diário de Notícias and Jornal de Notícias. In the early 1990s, it acquired TSF Rádio Notícias and minority stakes of TVI. In 2000, PT Multimédia made a successful takeover of Lusomundo. Since then, Lusomundo was split into two companies with different owners: Lusomundo Audiovisuais, which controls the cinema and movie distribution assets Lusomundo Media (now owned by Global Media Group), which controls other media assetsUntil 2007, the Lusomundo brand was used on four premium subscription television movie channels. Nowadays these channels are named TVCine. In 2007, PT Multimedia separated from PT Comunicações and became ZON Multimédia and this corporation was renamed ZON Lusomundo, in May 2014 it was renamed NOS, officially retiring the 61-year-old Lusomundo name.

Campo Grande is an elevated interchange station on the Yellow and Green Lines of the Lisbon Metro. It has a large bus terminal at ground level and is located on Rua Cipriano Dourado just north of Avenida General Norton de Matos in the Lisbon parish of Campo Grande.

Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro Museum is a municipal museum, in Lisbon, Portugal. It is entirely dedicated to the life and works of the artist Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846–1905). It shows many of his collections of caricatures and ceramics.

Estádio de Campo Grande was a multi-use stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of Sporting CP and then S.L. Benfica. The stadium was able to hold 25,000 people and opened in 1912 owned by Lisboa FC. In 1917, Lisboa FC leaves and ground is taken over by Sporting CP which uses it until 1937, leaving for Estádio do Lumiar. In 1941, Benfica moved in after Estádio das Amoreiras was demolished for a freeway. By then, the stadium needed renovations and was abandoned for over 3 years. It was closed in 1954 when the original Estádio da Luz opened.

The National Archive of Torre do Tombo (Portuguese: Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo, [ɐɾˈkivu nɐsjuˈnaɫ dɐ ˈtoʁɨ ðu ˈtõbu]) is the Portuguese national archive located in the civil parish of Alvalade, in the municipality of central-northern Lisbon. Established in 1378, it was renamed the Instituto dos Arquivos Nacionais (Institute of the National Archives) in 2009.

Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies) is the largest Portuguese private university, and the main institution of Grupo Lusófona, which administers other universities and colleges in Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique. Indeed, promotion of Lusophony (the speaking of Portuguese) is seen as a major objective of the institution; students from former Portuguese African colonies pay substantially reduced fees.

Estádio José Alvalade was a multi-purpose stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. The stadium was able to hold 52,411 people. It was inaugurated on 10 June 1956. Home venue of Sporting CP for 47 years, it was mostly used for football matches, but also athletics. It was named after Sporting founder José Alfredo Holtreman Roquette, known as José Alvalade after his family. José Alvalade borrowed money from his grandfather, the Viscount of Alvalade, in order to fund Sporting. It was closed in 2003, when the new Estádio José Alvalade opened.

Estádio José Alvalade is a football stadium in Lisbon, Portugal, home of Sporting Clube de Portugal. It was built adjacent to the site of the older stadium. The stadium is named after José Alvalade, the founder and first club member of Sporting CP in the early twentieth century.

The National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon, Portugal (Portuguese: Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência) is the country's main museum focusing on nature. The museum functions under the University of Lisbon. Its rich collections, gathered over more than 250 years, span zoology, anthropology, geology and botany. The museum has activities for the promotion of natural history and science awareness, with space for artistic exhibitions, conferences, debates, workshops and courses.

Campo Grande was a Portuguese parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon. At the administrative reorganization of Lisbon on 8 December 2012 it became part of the parish Alvalade.
