Solano Town Center, formerly Westfield Solano and Solano Mall, and colloquially known as the Fairfield Mall, is a shopping mall in Fairfield, California, United States, with over 125 stores, multiple restaurants and dining options. The mall is located on Travis Boulevard, one block east of I-80 off the Travis Boulevard exit. Solano Town Center is owned by Starwood Retail Partners and is leased and managed by Spinoso Real Estate Group.

The Solano County Library is a public library system serving the cities of Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville and Vallejo, California. The library system consists of nine public libraries, the Solano County Law Library, and the Solano County Library Adult Literacy Program. The city of Benicia, California, while located in Solano County, has a public library that is not a part of the Solano County Library system. It is a partner of the Solano Partner Libraries & St. Helena (SPLASH) Consortium. Solano County Library offers library materials, resources, information, entertainment and lifelong learning opportunities for the people of Solano County.

The Fairfield Transportation Center or FTC is a bus station in Fairfield, California, United States. The facility serves as a bus hub for transportation on local, commuter, and long-distance bus services. There are plans to expand the center. Casual carpooling is also practiced here.

Fairfield Transit (FAST) provides general public fixed route bus service through eight local routes. All FAST buses are wheelchair accessible and most are equipped with bike racks. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 326,800, or about 800 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023.

Armijo High School is a public secondary school located in Fairfield, California, United States. It is the oldest of the three high schools in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, the other two being Fairfield High School and Angelo Rodriguez High School. It is named after the Armijo family, who purchased one of the original six land grants in Solano County awarded to General Mariano Vallejo. The school serves about 2600 students in grades 9 to 12 from the central part of Fairfield and Suisun City. The school started in 1891 with 30 students in a single classroom located in the Crystal Elementary School building. In 1893, a separate wooden building was built for use as the high school. In 1915, the school moved to a large stone building on Union Avenue in downtown Fairfield that is now used as the Solano County courthouse. It stayed there for nearly 50 years until construction was completed in 1964 on a newer facility located on Washington Street, roughly two blocks from the Union Avenue location. In 2019, the Fairfield-Suisun School District board voted unanimously to replace the "Armijo Indian" mascot. As of 2020, the school's mascot is "The Royals".

Rancho Suisun was a 18,237-acre (73.80 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Solano County, California given in 1842 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Francisco Solano Indian chief and Captain in the Mexican Army. The rancho lands include the present-day city of Fairfield, California.

Suisun–Fairfield station is an Amtrak station in Suisun City, California. It serves both Suisun City and nearby Fairfield. It is served by the Amtrak Capitol Corridor commuter rail line between Auburn and San Jose through Oakland. Connecting bus service is provided by Fairfield and Suisun Transit, SolTrans R line to the El Cerrito del Norte BART station, Rio Vista Delta Breeze, and VINE Transit. The station is under the State Route 12 overpass. The current station opened in March 1914 and is the second depot to serve these two towns. The one-story wood-frame depot is one of two dozen “colonnade style” stations erected by the Southern Pacific Railroad. The design takes its name from the Tuscan columns used in the long porch that stretches out along the platform. Beneath its wide roof, passengers are protected from inclement weather. The colonnade style mixed elements of Colonial Revival and Arts and Crafts architecture.In the 1970s, the depot fell into disrepair, but in the 1990s, in an effort to create a more inviting gateway to town, the Suisun City Redevelopment Authority gained control of the structure and used state transportation funds to carry out a full rehabilitation, which included a new landscaped courtyard.Until 1998, the California Zephyr also stopped here. It also served the Spirit of California until it was discontinued in 1983.

The Stanley Y. Beverley Lodge #108' building (also known as Stanley Y. Beverley Lodge), is a historic building located in Suisun City, California, built in 1855. It was designed by Hiram Rush. The building served as a Prince Hall Masonic Lodge and as a business. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 as "Suisun Masonic Lodge No. 55". The building has also been known locally as the Stanley Beverly Lodge building. The building was named after the Freemasons lodge that originally occupied the upper floor of the building. The lower floor was rented as retail space. The first commercial tenant of the two-storey brick building was the Moses Dinkelspiel & Co. dry goods store. Over the years, a variety of businesses have come and gone from the commercial space - it has housed a pool hall, an auto parts store, and a hair salon.Suisun Lodge no longer meets in the 623 Main St. building, having sold it in 1965 to Stanley Beverly Lodge No. 108 (a Prince Hall Affiliate Lodge).

The school has about 1,610 students in grades 9 to 12 in north-central Fairfield.

Suisun City ( sə-SOON; Wintun for "where the west wind blows") is a city in Solano County, California, United States. The population was 29,518 at the 2020 census.

Deadman Island is an island near Suisun Bay. It is part of Solano County, California, and not managed by any reclamation district. Its coordinates are 38°13′14″N 122°01′41″W, and the United States Geological Survey measured its elevation as 7 ft (2.1 m) in 1981. It is labeled, along with Joice Island, Grizzly Island, Simmons Island, Ryer Island and Roe Island, on a 1902 USGS map of the area.

Goat Island is an island in Suisun Slough, near Suisun Bay, an embayment of San Francisco Bay. It is part of Solano County, and not managed by any reclamation district. Its coordinates are 38°12′51″N 122°02′03″W, and the United States Geological Survey measured its elevation as 16 ft (4.9 m) in 1981.
