Puente No. 6, in Caguas, Puerto Rico is a historic bridge which was built in 1856. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and is located at Puerto Rico Highway 798, Km. 1.0 in Río Cañas barrio.It has also been known as Bridge #6, as Ponton La Concepcion, and as (La) Concepcion Bridge. It spans the Cañas River. It is a brick barrel vault bridge. It was built as part of the Río Piedras-Caguas highway program.The image at right is from Our Islands and their People by Jose de Olivares, published in 1899 after the Spanish-American War.

Altos de San Luis

Altos de San Luis, also known as Monte Altos de San Luis (Spanish for San Luis heights), is an 886 feet (270 m) high and two-mile-long prominent mountain ridge located on the northern edge of the Caguas Valley, in barrio (district) Bairoa of Caguas, Puerto Rico. The ridge is bordered by the Loíza River to the north and the east, and it forms part of a larger system of mountain ridges that extends from the southwestern end of the Sierra de Luquillo in Gurabo to the northeastern end of the Cordillera Central in Aguas Buenas. Other mountains and hills along this system include the Altos de La Mesa and Cerro La Marquesa. These ridges are shaped by the Great Northern Puerto Rico fault zone (GNPRfz), an active fault zone which crosses the island diagonally from southeast to northwest.The forested area on the mountain ridge, known as Finca Longo, is protected by the municipality of Caguas as a critical habitat of the Puerto Rican plain pigeon (Patagioenas inornata wetmorei), locally known as the paloma sabanera, which until the 1970s was on the brink of extinction. This pigeon has been observed to nest, roost and feed on the habitat created by the secondary forest found here.

In 2018, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced work would be done on the river, which runs through several municipalities including Gurabo, Juncos, and Las Piedras.In 2018, homes in Juncos were on the verge of collapse as a result of erosion and landslides caused by a change in the rivers trajectory.

It was formerly anchored by a Kmart in its original shopping center portion which closed in 2020. The mall is divided in two portions, Plaza Centro I which opened in 1986 as an outdoor shopping center, and Plaza Centro II which opened between 1999 and 2000 as the enclosed mall portion.
