Loch Derculich is a freshwater loch in central highlands of Scotland, in Perth and Kinross. Loch Tummel is located three miles to the north.

Weem Castle is a former castle near Weem, Scotland. The castle was located near Castle Menzies. The castle became the seat of the Menzies family after Comrie Castle was partially destroyed by fire in 1487. Weem Castle was destroyed in 1502 by Nigel Stewart of Garth in a dispute over the lands of Fothergill. The stone and timber were used in the construction of Castle Menzies.

Loch Tummel (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Teimheil) is a long, narrow loch, seven kilometres (4+1⁄2 miles) northwest of Pitlochry in the council area of Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is fed and drained by the River Tummel, which flows into the River Tay about 13 km (8 mi) south-east of the Clunie Dam at the loch's eastern end.The loch is traversed by roads to both north and south. Along the northern side the road is numbered as the B8019, and runs from the Pass of Killiecrankie on the A9 in the east to Tummel Bridge at the head of the loch. The road on the southern side is unclassified, and meets the A9 further south, near to Pitlochry.The loch gives its name to the Loch Tummel National Scenic Area (NSA), one of 40 such areas in Scotland, which are defined so as to identify areas of exceptional scenery and to ensure its protection by restricting certain forms of development. The Loch Tummel Lyon NSA covers 9,013 hectares (22,272 acres), all of which lies within Perth and Kinross. The NSA covers the hills surrounding the loch, and extends along the River Tummel to also take in the area surrounding the Pass of Killiecrankie on the River Garry.

Weem (Scottish Gaelic: Baile a' Chlachain) is a village on the B846 near Aberfeldy in Perthshire, Scotland. The name Weem is derived from the Gaelic uamh, meaning 'cave'. Nearby is Castle Menzies. One of Scotland's best-preserved 16th-century castles, Castle Menzies is the seat of Clan Menzies. Looked after by a private preservation trust, the Castle and grounds are open to visitors in summer (entrance charge).The Old Parish Church of Weem, of medieval origin, contains the funerary monuments of the Menzies family from the 16th century, and the heraldic hatchments carried at their funerals. Castle Menzies in Scotland is the ancestral seat of the Clan Menzies and the Menzies Baronets. It is located a little to the west of the small village of Weem, near Aberfeldy in the Highlands of Perthshire, close to the former site of Weem Castle, destroyed c. 1502.

Meall Tairneachan (787 m) is a mountain in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland, located northwest of Aberfeldy in Perthshire. The peak lies in an area of rocky and rolling moors between Loch Tummel and Aberfeldy. A baryte mine is located close to its summit.

Aberfeldy Footbridge is a pedestrian bridge crossing the River Tay in Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross. Built in 1992 and is the world’s first all-plastic bridge. Today the bridge still holds the Guinness World Record for the longest span plastic bridge, with an impressive 63m.The bridge was initially used as a crossing for golfers at the Aberfeldy Golf Club to access the section of the course on the other side of the river, however when the Golf Course was downsized the bridge was no longer needed by golfers. The bridge is now used by walkers and cyclists to cross the river. In 2016 the Golf Club decided the bridge needed work and put up barriers to stop people crossing. The bridge was later reopened after locals broke the barriers down, and although parts of the bridge are still held together with cable ties, the plastic bridge remains open.

Wade's Bridge (originally known as Tay Bridge) is five-arch bridge crossing the River Tay at Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. A Category A listed structure built in 1733, to a design by William Adam, it carries the pedestrian and vehicle traffic of Poplar Avenue. Erected for the Board of Ordnance, to the order of Lieutenant General George Wade, its original purpose was as a military road linking the garrisons at Ruthven, Fort George, Fort Augustus and Fort William.The stone was quarried, cut and tooled at nearby Bolfracks. In 1932, two tablets with copies of Wade's original inscriptions were let into the stonework of two obelisk plinths; one in English and one in Latin. These state that the bridge was begun in April 1733 and finished by January; however, this is not strictly true, as General Wade stopped work for the winter, leaving the bridge without parapets over the side arches. These were added the following year.

The Tummel hydro-electric power scheme is an interconnected network of dams, power stations, aqueducts and electric power transmission in the Grampian Mountains of Scotland. Roughly bounded by Dalwhinnie in the north, Rannoch Moor in the west and Pitlochry in the east it comprises a water catchment area of around 1,800 square kilometres (690 square miles) and primary water storage at Loch Ericht, Loch Errochty, Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel, in Perth and Kinross. Water, depending on where it originates and the path it takes, may pass through as many as five of the schemes nine power stations as it progresses from north-west to south-east. The scheme was constructed in the 1940s and 50s incorporating some earlier sites. It is managed by SSE plc.

Aberfeldy Watermill is located in the Scottish town of Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross. Dating to 1826, it is now a Category A listed building. Its water wheel is 15 feet (4.6 m) in diameter and is fed by the lower Urlar Burn. It is now a book shop, gallery and café.The mill was restored in the 1980s by a miller from Cupar in Fife.After its renovation during 2004, it was opened in its current format the following year by Michael Palin. In 2009, it was awarded UK Independent Bookshop of the Year and, in 2016, The New Yorker listed it in its "75 Greatest Bookstores in the World".

Aberfeldy Town Hall is a municipal building on Crieff Road in Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The structure, which is used as an events venue, is Category B listed.

Breadalbane Academy is a 2–18 mixed, state all-through school in Aberfeldy, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It has a Gaelic Medium provision in the primary which was extended into the secondary in session 2018/19. In 2020 the school won the 'Scotland's Most Enterprising School 2020' Indigo award.Breadalbane Academy has performed consistently in SQA examinations, with approximately 50% of pupils progressing on to Higher Education.
