Paris–Le Bourget Airport

The Paris Air Show (French: Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace de Paris-Le Bourget, Salon du Bourget) is a trade fair and air show held in odd years at Paris–Le Bourget Airport in France. Organized by the French aerospace industry's primary representative body, the Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales (GIFAS), it is the largest air show and aerospace-industry exhibition event in the world, measured by number of exhibitors and size of exhibit space, followed by UK's Farnborough Air Show, Dubai Air Show, and Singapore Airshow.First held in 1909, the Paris Air Show was held every odd year from 1949 to 2019, when the 53rd Air Show attracted 2,453 exhibitors from 49 countries and occupied more than 125,000 square meters. Organizers canceled the 2021 show due to the COVID pandemic and said it would resume in 2023.It is a large trade fair, demonstrating military and civilian aircraft, and is attended by many military forces and the major aircraft manufacturers, often announcing major aircraft sales. It starts with four professional days and is then opened to the general public followed from Friday to Sunday. The format is similar to Farnborough and the ILA Berlin Air Show, both staged in even years.

ASTech Paris Région is a French competitiveness cluster specialising in aeronautics, aerospace and embedded systems created in 2007. It is geographically centred on the Île-de-France region. Its members gather every two years in October for the "AeroSpaceDays Paris" business convention to meet with all the global players in the aeronautics and space industries in pre-programmed working meetings. ASTech Paris Region has the status of an Association under the law of 1901. Its head office is located at Paris–Le Bourget Airport.

The Musée de l'air et de l'espace (English: Air and Space Museum), is a French aerospace museum, located at the south-eastern edge of Paris–Le Bourget Airport, north of Paris, and in the commune of Le Bourget. It was inaugurated in 1919 after a proposal by the celebrated aeronautics engineer Albert Caquot (1881–1976).

Bonneuil-en-France (French pronunciation: [bɔnœj ɑ̃ fʁɑ̃s] , literally Bonneuil in France) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. Le Bourget Airport is partially located in the commune.

Dugny (French pronunciation: [dyɲi] (listen)) is a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 12.4 km (7.7 mi) from the centre of Paris. About a third of Le Bourget airport lies on the territory of the commune of Dugny, including its main terminal and the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace (air and space museum). Nonetheless, the airport was named after the neighbouring commune of Le Bourget.

Lycée Robert Schuman is a Catholic private senior high school/sixth-form college in Dugny, Seine-Saint-Denis, France, in the Paris metropolitan area. Christian engineers established the school in 1920.

The Battle of Le Bourget was part of the siege of Paris during the Franco-Prussian War, fought between 27 and 30 October 1870.

The commune features Le Bourget Airport, which in turn hosts the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace (Air and Space Museum). A very small part of Le Bourget Airport lies on the territory of the commune of Le Bourget, which nonetheless gave its name to the airport. Most of the airport lies on the territory of the communes of Dugny, Bonneuil-en-France, and Gonesse. The Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile is also headquartered on the airport grounds and in Le Bourget proper.

The Decauville factory in Aulnay-sous-Bois (previously known as Société Lilloise, or colloquially La Lilloise) produced prefabricated narrow gauge railway track and rolling stock from 1914 to the 1950ies in Aulnay-sous-Bois, France.

Le Bourget is a station on the line B of the Réseau Express Régional, a hybrid suburban commuter and rapid transit line. The station is also served by Paris Tramway Line 11. The station will be where the Paris Metro Line 16 and Paris Metro Line 17 divide, with Line 16 heading to Noisy-Champs and Line 17 going to Le Mesnil-Amelot. It is named after the town of Le Bourget where the station is located, a northern suburb of Paris, in the Seine-Saint-Denis department of France.

Gonesse (French pronunciation: [ɡɔnɛs] ) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department, in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 16.5 km (10.3 mi) from the centre of Paris. The commune lies immediately north of Le Bourget Airport, and it is six kilometres (four miles) south-west of Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
