Renowned for her collegiate debate skills, emerged as a key figure in the national suffrage movement being personally recruited by Carrie Chapman Catt for national suffrage advocacy as the second-highest paid American suffragist leader. She would later take to the worldwide stage promoting the law of attraction through her many free and paid lecture series. She was the founder of Brainology, a famous course on scientific mind training.

Ribét Academy College Preparatory is a private, co-educational school from preschool to 12th grade located in Los Angeles, California. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Ribét Academy's current location was built in 1923.

The Van de Kamp Bakery Building was built in 1930 in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. It served as the headquarters of the chain of bakeries and coffee shops known for their distinctive windmill architecture. The building was designed by New York architect J. Edwin Hopkins to resemble a Dutch 16th century farmhouse. Originally there was a Van de Kamp's store next to the building, which was one of the first Van de Kamp's stores ever made and had the famous Van de Kamp's windmill style design. The building remains the only example of an industrial plant in the Renaissance Revival and Dutch Colonial Revival styles. The bakery closed in October 1990 after Van de Kamps filed for Chapter 11. The building is a designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, declared on May 12, 1992. In 2010, this building underwent a $72-million renovation by the Los Angeles Community College District with the intent of being a Los Angeles City College satellite campus. The site is instead leased to charter school and job training groups.

With two hospitals and 150 acres (0.61 km2) of sanctuaries, it is the largest no-kill, care-for-life sanctuary in the United States. With more than 1,500 animals on the property, it is the largest animal rescue of its type in the world. Actor/producer/animal welfare activist Leo Grillo is its national president and founder. As of 2007, the organization is funded solely on private donations of more than $5.5 million per year.

Berg Studios is an instructional, film and television acting studio and theatre space in Atwater Village, California in the Los Angeles area. Glendale Transportation Center is an Amtrak and Metrolink rail station in the city of Glendale, California. Rancho Cañada de los Nogales was a 1,200-acre (4.9 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Los Angeles County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to José Maria Aguilar. The name means "canyon of the walnut trees" and refers to stands of California Black Walnut trees. The grant extended along the east bank of the Los Angeles River opposite Rancho Los Feliz, and encompassed present day Cypress Park, Mt. Washington and Highland Park. The grant adjoined Rancho San Rafael to the north.
