Cornel School of Contemporary Music

Berg Studios is an instructional, film and television acting studio and theatre space in Atwater Village, California in the Los Angeles area. The Studio space is owned and run by acting instructor and Yale School of Drama graduate Gregory Berger-Sobeck, who has taught acting in Los Angeles since 1998.

The Van de Kamp Bakery Building was built in 1930 in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. It served as the headquarters of the chain of bakeries and coffee shops known for their distinctive windmill architecture. The building was designed by New York architect J. Edwin Hopkins to resemble a Dutch 16th century farmhouse. Originally there was a Van de Kamp's store next to the building, which was one of the first Van de Kamp's stores ever made and had the famous Van de Kamp's windmill style design. The building remains the only example of an industrial plant in the Renaissance Revival and Dutch Colonial Revival styles. The bakery closed in October 1990 after Van de Kamps filed for Chapter 11. The building is a designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, declared on May 12, 1992. In 2010, this building underwent a $72-million renovation by the Los Angeles Community College District with the intent of being a Los Angeles City College satellite campus. The site is instead leased to charter school and job training groups.

Ribét Academy College Preparatory is a private, co-educational school from preschool to 12th grade located in Los Angeles, California. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Ribét Academy's current location was built in 1923.

Atwater Village is a neighborhood in the 13th district of Los Angeles, California. Much of Atwater Village lies in the fertile Los Angeles River flood plain. Located in the northeast region of the city, Atwater borders Griffith Park and Silver Lake to the west, Glendale to the north and east, and Glassell Park to the south. The eastern boundary is essentially the railroad tracks (originally, the Southern Pacific). The area has three elementary schools—two public and one private. Almost half the residents were born abroad, a high percentage for the city of Los Angeles.

Elsie Lincoln (Vandegrift) Benedict (1885–1970), also known as 'The Wonder Woman', was advertised as the world's best known lecturer during the 1920s and 1930's, speaking to over 3 million people in her lifetime and writing on what Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie and a long list of men would do later. Renowned for her collegiate debate skills, emerged as a key figure in the national suffrage movement being personally recruited by Carrie Chapman Catt for national suffrage advocacy as the second-highest paid American suffragist leader. She would later take to the worldwide stage promoting the law of attraction through her many free and paid lecture series. She was the founder of Brainology, a famous course on scientific mind training.

Dedication and Everlasting Love to Animals Rescue (D.E.L.T.A. Rescue) is an animal welfare organization based in Acton, California, US. With two hospitals and 150 acres (0.61 km2) of sanctuaries, it is the largest no-kill, care-for-life sanctuary in the United States. With more than 1,500 animals on the property, it is the largest animal rescue of its type in the world. Actor/producer/animal welfare activist Leo Grillo is its national president and founder. As of 2007, the organization is funded solely on private donations of more than $5.5 million per year.

Zebulon Café Concert, also known as Zebulon, is a music venue, bar, and restaurant located in Los Angeles, California. Zebulon was originally located in Brooklyn, New York, where it operated as a combined café/bar and hosted live music until closing in December 2012. It was named as a critic's pick by New York magazine. More than four years after its original closure, Zebulon reopened in a new space in Los Angeles' Frogtown neighborhood in 2017.Owned by Guillaume Blestel and Joce and Jef Soubiran, Zebulon features nightly performances by local and international musicians and performers. Performances at the original Brooklyn location included Ravi Shankar and Melvin Van Peebles. Performances at the Los Angeles location have included artists such as Ty Segall, Kim Gordon, Blanck Mass, This Heat, Oh Sees, Black Midi, and Lingua Ignota.

Glendale Transportation Center is an Amtrak and Metrolink rail station in the city of Glendale, California. It is served by the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner intercity rail route and the Metrolink Ventura County Line and Metrolink Antelope Valley Line commuter rail routes. Amtrak's Coast Starlight also uses these tracks, but does not stop here.

Ralf Marc (R.M.) Walker (May 20, 1872 Bellevue Township, Eaton County, Michigan — August 28, 1935, New York City, buried Glendale, California) was an American department store executive. In his native Bellevue, Michigan, Walker worked in a grocery store for a certain Mr. C. D. Kimberley. He would later spend time in Wisconsin and Detroit before heading to Los Angeles where Arthur Letts trained him at Letts' Broadway department store, Walker was the co-founder/co-worker owner of the 125,000-square-foot department store known as the Fifth Street Store at Fifth and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, established in 1905. Walker also owned what would later become known as the Houdini Mansion in Laurel Canyon. He died six months before the opening in San Diego of the first Walker Scott store – which would go on to become a regional chain – on October 3, 1935.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park is a privately owned cemetery in Glendale, California. It is the original and current flagship location of Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries, a chain of six cemeteries and four additional mortuaries in Southern California.

The Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles is a community of 48,874 Episcopalians in 147 congregations, 40 schools, and 18 major institutions, spanning all of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, and part of Riverside County. One of the U.S.-based Episcopal Church's 110 dioceses spanning 16 nations, the Diocese of Los Angeles was established in 1895 by vote of the General Convention of the national church. The diocese's first convention was held in 1896.The diocese is led by its bishop, presently the Rt. Rev. John H. Taylor; its administrative hub is St. Paul’s Commons, located in the Echo Park district of Los Angeles. St. John's Cathedral is the cathedral of the diocese and the center for major diocesan liturgical functions. The common ministry of the diocese is guided by its convention, held annually. Between annual meetings, the work of convention is overseen by the diocesan council, which meets usually the first or second Thursday of each month at St. Paul’s Commons.

The Atwater Tract Office is a historic train station located in Glendale, California. It was built in 1883, soon after Atwater Village had been settled,and served the city of Glendale from 1883 until its closing and demolition in 1922.
