Selsey, East Beach

Selsey Lifeboat Station is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station located in Selsey, West Sussex on the south coast of England.The station operates a Shannon-class lifeboat 13-20 Denise and Eric (ON-1327) which is launched via the Shannon Launch and Recovery System (SLARS) from the main boathouse that stands onshore at the Kingsway, Selsey. The station also operates a D-class (IB1) inshore lifeboat, RNLB Flt Lt John Buckley RAF (D-827). In 2017, Selsey received a new 25 knot (29 mph) Shannon Class Lifeboat after almost 34 years of service by Tyne-class lifeboats RNLB City of London (ON-1074) and RNLB Voluntary Worker (ON-1146) the longest of any RNLI station.

Selsey Bill is a headland into the English Channel on the south coast of England in the county of West Sussex. The southernmost town in Sussex is Selsey which is at the end of the Manhood Peninsula and Selsey Bill is situated on the town's southern coastline. It is the easternmost point of Bracklesham Bay and the westernmost point of the Sussex Coast.

Cymenshore was a place in Southern England where, according to the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, Ælle of Sussex landed in AD 477 and battled the Britons with his three sons Cymen, Wlencing and Cissa, after the first of whom Cymenshore was held to have been named. The spelling Cymenshore is a scholarly modernisation of the Old English Cȳmenes ōra, which is now lost. Its location is unclear but was probably near Selsey.

Selsey Beach railway station served the town of Selsey, West Sussex, England, from 1898 to 1904 on the West Sussex Railway.

Selsey () is a seaside town and civil parish, about eight miles (12 km) south of Chichester in West Sussex, England. Selsey lies at the southernmost point of the Manhood Peninsula, almost cut off from mainland Sussex by the sea. It is bounded to the west by Bracklesham Bay, to the north by Broad Rife (rife being the local word for stream or creek), to the east by Pagham Harbour and terminates in the south at Selsey Bill. There are significant rock formations beneath the sea off both of its coasts, named the Owers rocks and Mixon rocks. Coastal erosion has been an ever-present problem for Selsey.The B2145 is the only road in and out of the town crossing a bridge over the water inlet at Pagham Harbour at a point known as "the ferry". At one time Selsey was inaccessible at flood tide, and a boat was stationed at the ferry to take horses and passengers to and from Sidlesham.

The Academy Selsey, formerly the Manhood Community College and the Manhood Secondary Modern School, is an small co-educational non-selective academy for 11 to 16-year-old children, in the town of Selsey, on the Manhood Peninsula, just south of Chichester, West Sussex It is part of The Kemnal Academies Trust; the multi-academy trust that oversees a number of secondary and primary schools in Kent and the south-east of England.

Selsey Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Selsey, West Sussex, England. The club is a FA Chartered Standard Community club affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association. The club are currently members of the Southern Combination Division One and play at the High Street Ground.

Selsey Women Football Club (formerly Chichester and Selsey Ladies and Youth Football Club) are a women's association football club based in Selsey, West Sussex, England. They were founded in 2020 as a breakaway club from Chichester City F.C. and were renamed Selsey for the 2023—24 season. They play in the FA Women's National League South West.

Medmerry Mill is a grade II listed tower mill at Selsey, Sussex, England which has been restored and is used as a shop.

The Manhood Peninsula is the southwest of West Sussex in England. It has the English Channel to its south and Chichester to the north. It is bordered to its west by Chichester Harbour and to its east by Pagham Harbour, its southern headland being Selsey Bill. It was, including some hinterland, known as the Hundred of Manwood and the name is a corruption of the latter word. Set up in Anglo-Saxon-dominant England it had its own courts and local government, eroded by the charitable and civic functions of the vestry and waxing and waning of the manorial system – the system of hundreds was abolished by Parliament in the 19th century.

Norton Priory is the former rectory of St Wilfrid's Chapel, Church Norton, West Sussex. The building is claimed to be of mediaeval origin, but so altered that much of the history of its construction is speculation. Some parts are from the 17th century, while a fireplace in the west wing bears the inscription "WL 1539".
