St George's Church, Oakdale

Oakdale is a suburb of Poole in Dorset, England with a population of 10,949, increasing to 11,554 at the 2011 Census and shares boundaries with Creekmoor, Poole Town, Parkstone, Newtown and Canford Heath

Fleetsbridge is a small area of Poole, Dorset, centred on a busy gyratory and flyover. It lies north of Poole town centre and borders the neighbouring suburbs of Waterloo, Creekmoor, Oakdale and Canford Heath. The use of land varies between residential, retail and some light industry. The area is also home to Parkstone Grammar School when it moved there from Lower Parkstone in 1962. The site of the Tesco at Fleets Corner was, up until the 1980s, the home of Hamworthy Recreation Football Club before the land was sold and the club moved to Canford Magna on the northern extreme of the Borough of Poole. Opposite to Tesco, across Waterloo Road, is the home of the headquarters of the global company, Hamworthy Combustion Engineering. Fleets Industrial Estate lies to the south of the gyratory off Fleets Lane and is adjacent to Wessex Gate Retail Park, which has large retail outlets such as DFS, Currys and PC World.

Poole Town Football Club is a football club based in Poole, Dorset, England. They currently compete in the Southern League Premier Division South. The club was established in 1880 and they affiliated to the Dorset County Football Association and are a Football Association (FA) Charter Standard Community Club. The team spent two seasons in the National League South before relegation in 2018.

St Edward's Roman Catholic/Church of England School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Poole in the English county of Dorset.The school turned 50 years old in 2013, and is one of a small number of joint Roman Catholic and Church of England secondary schools in the country. Originally the school was only open to Roman Catholic students, but over time as the school has grown and as more students have been enrolled, the school has changed its status to also accept Protestant students. The school is affiliated with both the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth and the Anglican Diocese of Salisbury. The school offers a wide variety of subjects at GCSE and has a growing sixth form for students continuing on to A-level. The school is linked with Bele Zinkuka school, South Africa, whose netball team visited the UK in 2005 and played local schools in Poole.

Waterloo is a suburb of Poole, Dorset, England. Once a small village near Broadstone, Waterloo is now a large housing estate. The estate was built in the early 1950s and covers an area of 85 acres (0.34 km2).

Poole Stadium is a speedway and former greyhound racing venue located in the town centre of Poole, Dorset in England. The stadium is owned by the Borough of Poole. It was built in the early 1930s in an attempt to provide a source of entertainment to the residents of Poole during the Great Depression. It is also often referred to as Wimborne Road, which is a road that runs adjacent to the stadium. During weekdays, the stadium's large car park is used to provide parking for Poole Hospital's park and ride scheme. On 22 September 2020 the permanent closure of greyhound racing at the site was announced.

Poole Hospital (also known as Poole General Hospital) is an acute general hospital in Poole, Dorset, England. Built in 1907, it has expanded from a basic 14-bed facility into a 789-bed hospital. It is the trauma centre for east Dorset and provides specialist services such as cancer treatment for the entire county. It is managed by the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital was managed by Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust until the merger with The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on 1 October 2020.
