South Garner High School

Meadowbrook Country Club is a historic country club and national historic district located near Garner, Wake County, North Carolina. The club was founded in 1959, with initial improvements made throughout the 1960s. The contributing resources are the lake (1961); pier (1961); picnic area (1962); driving range (1966); nine-hole golf course designed by Gene Hamm (1966); one-story, concrete block, Modern Movement style clubhouse (1962, 1970, 1971); and 18-hole putt-putt course (1962). Meadowbrook Country Club was founded as a private country club for African-Americans.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

As of the 2010 census, Saint Mary's Township had a population of 58,484, a 52.8% increase over 2000. Saint Mary's Township, occupying 60.5 square miles (156.6 km2) in southeastern Wake County, includes most of the town of Garner and portions of the city of Raleigh.

The Wayland E. Poole House is a historic home located near Auburn, Wake County, North Carolina, a small, unincorporated community located to the east of Garner. Built in 1911, the house is a Queen Anne cross-gabled frame building with a wraparound porch.In September 2003, the Wayland E. Poole House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

WQDR-FM is a Primary Entry Point (PEP) station for the Emergency Alert System, and was previously the Common Program Control Station (or CPCS-1) for the Raleigh operational area of the Emergency Broadcast System. WQDR-FM broadcasts in the HD Radio format, with its HD2 subchannel carrying the Top 40/CHR programming of co-owned WPLW-FM. WQDR-FM's HD3 subchannel airs the classic rock programming of AM 570 WQDR.

WTVD (channel 11) is a television station licensed to Durham, North Carolina, United States, serving as the ABC outlet for the Research Triangle area. Owned and operated by the network's ABC Owned Television Stations division, it maintains business offices on Liberty Street in downtown Durham, with newscasts originating from studios on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, as well as news bureaus in Chapel Hill and Fayetteville. It is owned by the Capitol Broadcasting Company and broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for part of November and December. Capitol Broadcasting also owns NBC network affiliate WRAL-TV, Fox affiliate WRAZ-TV, and the Durham Bulls minor-league baseball team, along with several other radio stations. WRAL carries the audio of the Six O'Clock News broadcast from sister station WRAL-TV. During tornado warnings, WRAL-FM also simulcasts WRAL-TV's audio of their tornado coverage. WRAL has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 98,000 watts, close to the current maximum for U.S. radio stations. Its broadcast tower is southeast of Raleigh in Garner at (35°40′35.1″N 78°32′7.2″W). WRAL broadcasts using HD Radio technology. An adult album alternative format branded as "That Station" is on its HD2 digital subchannel. The HD3 subchannel carries an All-News format known as "WRAL News+".

Downtown Garner Historic District, also known as Garner's Station, is a national historic district located at Garner, Wake County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 62 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in the central business district and surrounding residential sections of Garner. The district developed between about 1883 and 1940 and includes notable examples of Queen Anne, Classical Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the Garner Depot (c. 1902), (former) Garner High School (1923), Hayes Chapel Christian Church (c. 1870), H. D. Rand Store (c. 1895), Bank of Garner Building (c. 1910), Section Foreman's Bouse (c. 1897), Joe Broughton Bouse, J. J. Bagwell House, W. L. Brooks House (c. 1912), and D. B. Buffaloe House (1923).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Sanders-Hairr House is a historic home located near Clayton, Johnston County, North Carolina. It was built about 1787, and is a two-story, five-bay, transitional Georgian / Federal style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard, is flanked by massive double-shouldered exterior end chimneys, and has a full-width shed roofed one-story front porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Panther Branch School, also known as Juniper Level School, is a historic Rosenwald School building located near Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a one-story, frame, weatherboarded building with Colonial Revival style design elements. It sits on a brick pier foundation infilled with concrete block. The school closed in 1952. It is owned by the Juniper Level Baptist Church, who uses the building as a meeting place and social hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
