Woodstock Sports F.C.

Sittingbourne Community F.C. is an English football club located in Sittingbourne, in Kent. The club plays in the Kent County Football League Division Two East. Woodstock Park was accepted into the newly formed Kent Invicta Football League for the inaugural 2011–12 season. They left the league the following season, rejoining the Kent County League. At the start of the 2014–15 season, Woodstock Park entered into an agreement with Sittingbourne (who play their home games at the same ground) to become Sittingbourne Community FC, which now serves as a feeder team to Isthmian League level Sittingbourne.

Cromers Wood is a 28-hectare (69-acre) nature reserve between Milstead and Sittingbourne in Kent. It is managed by Kent Wildlife Trust.This ancient semi-natural wood is located on the south-east slope of a dry valley. There are birds such as sparrowhawks, green woodpeckers and great spotted woodpeckers, and flora include early purple and common spotted orchids.There is public access to the site.

Highsted is a village near Sittingbourne in Kent, England. It is in the civil parish of Rodmersham. Most of the village is on Highsted Valley road leading northwards towards Cromer's Wood. The rest of the village is on Stockers Hill leading eastwards to Rodmersham Green. According to Edward Hasted, in 1798, the estate of 'Hysted Forstall' with 'Chilston' and 'Fulston' were on the boundary of the Parish of Sittingbourne. Latterly, the manors of Chilston and Fulston have been absorbed into the outer suburbs of Sittingbourne in post-1940s house building. Highsted contains three listed buildings, 'Highsted Farmhouse',(Grade II listed), 'Stanley Villas'(also Grade II listed) and 'Old Cottage' (also Grade II listed)On the Broadoak Road (between Tunstall and Milstead), is the Kent Science Park.Woodstock Sports F.C. 'The TClarke Stadium' is on the Broadoak Road as well.

Milstead is a village and civil parish in the borough of Swale in Kent, England. It is surrounded by the villages of Frinsted, Wichling, Doddington and Lynsted in Kent, England. It is the southernmost parish in the Sittingbourne area, it is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) from Sittingbourne town centre. Just past the M2 motorway. According to Edward Hasted in 1798, the parish is but small, containing about 800 acres (320 ha) of land, of which about 50 acres (20 ha) acres are woodland. He also refers to it as 'Milsted'. The parish was under the dominion of the Manor of Milton Regis in the reign of Edward I.In 1870-72, according to John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales, the parish comprised 1,216 acres (492 ha). Its population was 245 and it had 43 houses.Within the village is the Grade II listed Church of St Mary and the Holy Cross, within the diocese of Canterbury, and deanery of Sittingborne.It also contains around 80 houses and cottages of which nine are listed buildings. Including 'Milstead Manor',On 27 September 1940 at 12.25pm, during the Battle of Britain, a Hawker Hurricane, from 242 Squadron RAF, piloted by Flying Officer Michael Homer, crashed into a thatch cottage in the village. The aircraft had been badly damaged by a Messerschmitt Bf 109. Flying Officer Homer flew with 242 Squadron based at RAF Duxford, commanded by Douglas Bader. His body was taken from the wreck and buried in Godlingston Cemetery, Swanage, Dorset. His family planted a tree and mounted a plaque in his memory at the crash site. A memorial near Simel House, Minching Wood, which was unveiled in November 2007, is included as part of annual Remembrance Day services in the village.The village has a reasonably large village hall which holds many clubs such as woodturning, yoga and even a monthly market. The village also has a village pub (the Red Lion) and also a village school 'Milstead and Frinsted Church of England Primary School'. Once the village had a small post office but has been a house for many years now.

Heart's Delight is a settlement located to the south of Sittingbourne in Kent, England. Heart's Delight Road, leading to it, has the postal address of Tunstall. At the 2011 Census the population of the settlement was included in the civil parish of Borden. According to Edward Hasted, in 1798, Heart's Delight was a small hamlet in the parish of Borden. Wrens farm was an estate in 1664 (but called 'Rains Farm') and was owned by a squire from Tunstall.There are four Grade II listed houses in the village; 'Hearts Delight House', 'Filmer House', 'Sharp's House', and 'Wren's Farmhouse'. Swale is a local government district with borough status in Kent, England. The council is based in Sittingbourne, the borough's largest town. The borough also contains the towns of Faversham, Queenborough and Sheerness, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas. It includes the Isle of Sheppey and is named after The Swale, the narrow channel which separates Sheppey from the mainland part of the borough. Some southern parts of the borough lie within the Kent Downs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The neighbouring districts are Canterbury, Ashford, Maidstone and Medway.
