Łódź Niciarniana railway station

The Stadion Miejski Widzewa Łódź (Widzew Łódź Municipal Stadium), also known as Stadion Widzewa (Widzew Stadium), is a football stadium in Łódź, Poland. It is the home stadium of Widzew Łódź. The stadium has an all-seater capacity of about 18,000. The previous stadium has a capacity of 10,500 seats, with only part of the West Stand covered. It was demolished in early 2015 to make way for the new stadium.

The Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University in Łódź is affiliated to the Medical University of Łódź. The building is on Sporna Street in Łódź. It was established in 1997 and given its present name in 2015. It provides specialized dental services, round-the-clock and outpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents, Nuclear medicine, Preventive Medicine, Sports medicine, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Metabolic Diseases, Immunology, Allergology, Neurology and Genetics. It also performs hospital care, with 186 inpatient beds and 56 outpatient beds in the psychiatric departments. It includes the Central Teaching Hospital Institute of Dentistry which was created in 2012. The Maria Konopnicka Paediatric Centre has 19 departments (surgical and nonsurgical) with 260 inpatients and 6 outpatient beds. It was awarded 51,620,000 Polish złoty for the second stage of the construction of the Clinical and Didactic Center of the Medical University of Lodz together with the Academic Oncology Center in 2019. Monika Domarecka is the director of the hospital.

Łódź Stoki is a commuter station located in the city of Łódź, in Widzew district, on a circular line between Łódź Widzew and Zgierz stations. Initially opened in 1973, it was relocated and built from scratch in 2014 as part of Łódź Commuter Railway project, to provide accessibility to nearby medical center and academic estates.

The Faculty of Management at the University of Łódź was established on 1 September 1994. It was formerly a part of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology but later on six departments which focused on management issues devolved from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology to form the Faculty of Management. The Faculty of Management is rooted in academic activity of the Faculty of Law and Economics and the University of Economics which were included to the structure of the University of Łódź in 1961. The Faculty of Management specializes in academic education as well as conducting research in the field of management in cooperation with international partners and according to best regional and international practice.

Księży Młyn (English: Priest's Mill, Polish pronunciation: [ksiɛ̃ʐɨ mwɨn]) is an area in the southern central part of the city of Łódź located in central Poland which consists of a group of textile factories (mainly cotton spinning mills) and associated facilities, built in Łódź since 1824. Since the first decade of the 21st century the area undergoes major renovation and contains mixed-use development of offices and housing.

The Roundabout of Solidarity (Polish: Rondo Solidarności) is a major road interchange in the Polish city of Łódź, combining five streets and serving a transit traffic running through the city as part of Polish national road no. 14.

The Łódź Dąbrowa is a railway complex in Polish city of Łódź, located in the Górna district, between the residential and industrial sectors of the Dąbrowa estate, on the part of circular line running between Łódź Chojny and Łódź Widzew stations. The complex consists of two parts: a cargo terminal serving the industrial facilities located in the areas of Dąbrowa, Zarzew and Widzew Wschód, and a pass-through commuter station, consisting of a single platform located under the viaducts of Dąbrowski St. The station was planned back in the 1960s because of the construction of towerblock estate to the west of the tracks. The passenger station was meant to be built along with road viaducts, but the work was never finished. An unfinished concourse under the viaduct is the only remnant of that era.The concept of a commuter station was reactivated in 2010 as part of the Łódź Commuter Railway project. A new platform was made, along with staircases and elevators for both road viaducts for integration with a bus stop located on them. The new station was opened on 15 December 2013.The station is mostly served by PolRegio regional trains running from Łódź Kaliska station to Częstochowa and Skarżysko-Kamienna, and ŁKA trains from Łódź Kaliska to Łódź Widzew station. The station is also served by several PKP Intercity trains from Warsaw to Wrocław. The station can be accessed by trams running to a nearby terminus, and buses, both terminating at and passing through the area of the station.

The Academy of Fine Art in Łódź is a public university in Łódź for artists. Created in 1945, it was initially one of seven academies of Fine Arts in Poland. The academy was renamed in honor of one of its founders, Władysław Strzemiński, in 1988.The Academy offers a wide variety of educational fine art programs in fashion design, jewelry design, visual communication, film and digital art, art theory and history, photography, textile arts, as well as several other art-focused degree programs.The school is located on 121 Wojska Polskiego Street in Łódź. The Academy, headed by its president Professor Grzegorz Chojnacki, employs 63 faculty members to instruct its 1118 students.

Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Łódź (Polish: Kościół św. Elżbiety Węgierskiej) is a Roman Catholic church built in the interwar period in Anastazy Pankiewicz street (formerly: Sporna Street). The several-storey building next to it contains the monastery of Bernards, Bernardine and Catholic High School. The artistic polychrome, made by Zygmunt Acedański in 1960, was painted in white. The main altar of St. Elżbieta Węgierska, Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Piotr and Our Lady of Fátima. Side altars: Saint Anthony of Padua, Father Anastazy Pankiewicz. Classic organs were dismantled due to the poor quality of the instrument. Electronic organs are used.

Alexis de Tocqueville Center for Political and Legal Thought, founded in 2007, is a research thematic unit within the Faculty of Law and Administration, at the University of Łódź, Poland. The Chairman of the Center is renowned Locke scholar, Zbigniew Rau. Members of the Center's Board are leading personalities of Polish politics and science. The Center recalls the intellectual and conceptual heritage of Alexis de Tocqueville, the author of Democracy in America. This heritage includes the traditions which dominate in contemporary political discourse; it combines conservatism and liberalism with the Christian vision of Western identity and the republican ethos of civic participation. It derives its political, institutional, and legal conceptions from the analyses of particular social relations and avoids constructing any abstract, a priori models of public life. It perceives the fundamental values of our time, such as liberty, equality, democracy, the rule of law, efficient public policy, civil society, and self-government as remaining far from any harmony and coherence. In fact, this heritage leaves much room for axiological skepticism, inspires a movement of ideas, and requires cognitive objectivism. In its activities, the Center considers this heritage crucial for any civic commitment as well as research endeavor.

The University of Łódź (Polish: Uniwersytet Łódzki, Latin: Universitas Lodziensis) is a public research university founded in 1945 in Łódź, Poland, as a continuation of three higher education institutions functioning in Łódź in the interwar period — the Teacher Training Institute (1921–1928), the Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (1924–1928) and the local division of the Free Polish University of Warsaw (1928–1939). The University of Łódź (alternative spelling: University of Lodz) is a fully accredited, state-owned, traditional university. It is one of 18 institutions of its type in Poland.It has more than 25,000 students and 2,600 teachers. Its international cooperation includes 385 partner institutions from all over the world. A range of BA, MA, and postgraduate courses held in English as a language of instruction are offered to Polish and overseas students.

The School of Polish for Foreigners (SoPfF/SJPdC) is an educational institution and part of University of Łódź. Its main purpose is to prepare foreign students to study at Polish universities. The School of Polish for Foreigners was established in 1952 in Łódź. At first it was focused only on enabling people from other countries to study at Polish Universities, but since the early 1990s it is being transformed into both an academic and educational facility. The SoPfF in Łódź is the oldest institution of this kind in Poland and for over thirty years it was the only such school in the country. It has educated people from over 80 countries in the world. Every year about 300 students graduate from SoPfF. During all the years of the school's activity, its employees have managed to create unique workbooks for foreigners willing to learn Polish language. They have also prepared, with a considerable help of the students themselves, different multilanguage vocabularies - an invaluable help for anyone teaching and learning Polish language. The workbooks produced in the school became a base for syllabi created at other such facilities in the country. The school prepares foreign students to undertake studies at many different fields of interest. Students take technical, medical, and economics courses, among others.
