Harrogate High School

Harrogate District Hospital is an acute general hospital in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is managed by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

Harrogate Town Association Football Club is a professional association football club based in the spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. The club competes in League Two, the fourth tier of English football, after winning the 2019–20 National League play-offs. The club is nicknamed "Town" and also the "Sulphurites", due to Harrogate's famous sulphur springs. The club's colours are black and yellow and they play their home games at Wetherby Road, though for a short period at the start of the 2020–21 season, the club shared Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium while a new pitch was laid. Formed in 1914, the club entered the Northern League, but were unable to compete due to the outbreak of World War I. They eventually played their first competitive fixture in the West Riding League in August 1919. They were a founding member of the Yorkshire League the following year and also entered the Midland League in 1921. They finished as Yorkshire League champions in 1926–27, but were disbanded in 1932. Harrogate Hotspurs were founded in 1935 and changed their name to Harrogate Town after football returned at the end of World War II, joining the West Yorkshire Association League. They entered the Yorkshire League again in 1957, before becoming founder members of the Northern Counties East League in 1982 and a founding member of the Northern Premier League's First Division in 1987. They won the Northern Premier League Division One title in 2001–02 and became founder members of the Conference North in 2004. They won the National League North play-offs in 2018 and then secured a place in the Football League for the first time with victory in the 2020 National League play-off final.The team won the 2019–20 FA Trophy in a final against Concord Rangers played on 3 May 2021.

It is mostly used for football matches, being the home ground of Harrogate Town A.F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 people, and is situated on the A661 Wetherby Road, adjacent to Harrogate District Hospital.

The Vale of York Hoard, also known as the Harrogate Hoard and the Vale of York Viking Hoard, is a 10th-century Viking hoard of 617 silver coins and 65 other items. It was found undisturbed in 2007 near the town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. The hoard was the largest Viking one discovered in Britain since 1840, when the Cuerdale hoard was found in Lancashire, though the Anglo-Saxon Staffordshire Hoard, found in 2009, is larger.

The Stray is a long area of public parkland in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, comprising 200 acres (81 ha) of contiguous open land linking the spa town's curative springs and wells. The contiguous area of land, not all of which is officially designated part of The Stray, forms an approximately U-shaped belt from the Cenotaph on the north west point of the U, down the A61 road, along a broader southern belt of fields, enclosing the building of Church Square, and up to the north east tip of the U at The Granby. The Stray includes the site of Tewit Well, marked by a dome.

Grove House is a former inn, school, house and orphanage on Skipton Road, Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Built in 1745–54 as World's End Inn, it was later greatly expanded as the home of the prominent inventor Samson Fox. It was the first house in Yorkshire to have lighting by water gas. It is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.

The Grove Academy (formerly Harrogate Pupil Referral Service) is a mixed alternative provision secondary school, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The St. Aidan's & St. John Fisher Associated Sixth Form was created in 1973 as a venture in ecumenical education. The two schools, St. Aidan's C of E High School and St. John Fisher Catholic High School are based on the south side of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, separated by a five-minute walk.The Sixth Form has increased in size since 1973 when with only 70 students, the two sixth forms were too small to run separately. Today, with over 1000 students enrolled, it is the largest associated sixth form in the United Kingdom. This allows it to offer diverse subjects. Although the majority of students come from the two stem schools, students join from other schools in the surrounding area, including those in West Yorkshire, most notably, Wetherby High School, Wetherby and Nidderdale High School and Pateley Bridge. After Sixth Form study, the majority of students continue to college or university.

Starbeck is a railway station on the Harrogate Line, which runs between Leeds and York via Harrogate. The station, situated 18+1⁄4 miles (29 km) west of York, serves the suburb of Starbeck, Borough of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains.
