The Grove Academy (formerly Harrogate Pupil Referral Service) is a mixed alternative provision secondary school, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. It provides for pupils who are unable to attend a mainstream school for reasons including illness or behaviour. The school had an enrolment of 10 pupils in 2016. Its current headteacher is Catherine Farrell.In September 2013 the Harrogate Pupil Referral Service converted to academy status under the sponsorship of Schools Partnership Academies Trust (now Delta Academies Trust), reopening as The Grove Academy.In 2015 it was rated as 'Outstanding' (Grade 1) by Ofsted.

Grove House is a former inn, school, house and orphanage on Skipton Road, Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Built in 1745–54 as World's End Inn, it was later greatly expanded as the home of the prominent inventor Samson Fox. It was the first house in Yorkshire to have lighting by water gas. It is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.

The Vale of York Hoard, also known as the Harrogate Hoard and the Vale of York Viking Hoard, is a 10th-century Viking hoard of 617 silver coins and 65 other items. It was found undisturbed in 2007 near the town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. The hoard was the largest Viking one discovered in Britain since 1840, when the Cuerdale hoard was found in Lancashire, though the Anglo-Saxon Staffordshire Hoard, found in 2009, is larger.

The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is a Grade II listed building in Grove Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was built in 1896 as a 1,000-seat Wesleyan Methodist chapel but has since been converted into a six-bedroom house.

Grove Road Cemetery, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, was formerly known as Harrogate Cemetery. It was established in 1864 after the spa town expanded and the graveyard at Christ Church became full. The cemetery once had a pair of chapels with spires, designed by Thomas Charles Sorby. Although they were admired by local residents who felt it enhanced the town view, they were demolished in 1958. However the lodge and gates, also designed by Sorby, remain. The cemetery contains more than thirty military graves and memorials of those who died in service, including those who did heroic deeds, those who suffered accidents, and those who died of the 1918 influenza, many of them in their twenties or thirties. They include the grave of Sergeant Major Robert Johnston, who took part in the Charge of the Light Brigade. There is also the "Bilton Boys" monument to eleven soldiers from Bilton and High Harrogate, who died in the First World War. There are various elaborate memorials in the cemetery, dedicated to the town's worthies, such as Robert Ackrill, George Dawson, Richard Ellis and David Simpson, who contributed much to the town, besides gravestones of significant local artists, architects and historians. Also of interest are the gravestones of former slave Thomas Rutling and long-distance kayaker Fridel Dalling-Hay. Grove Road Cemetery has suffered several issues in the past three decades, such as the death of six-year-old Reuben Powell, who was killed by a falling tombstone while playing there. The incident initiated the felling of thousands of cemetery memorials across England, which continued for several years until the panic ceased and councils were advised to use discretion regarding historical monuments and consideration of the bereaved. There has also been an issue of dog-fouling across the graveyard.

Mansfield House is a historic building in Harrogate, a town in North Yorkshire, in England. The building was constructed in 1788, as the first purpose-built theatre in the town. Performances had previously been conducted in a nearby barn, behind the Granby Hotel. The theatre closed in 1830, and its interior was entirely altered, to serve as lodgings. It was later converted into three houses: Mansfield House in the central section, flanked by Mansfield Cottage and Mews Cottage. The entire building was grade II listed in 1975. The building is constructed of gritstone, and has a stone slate roof with coped gables. There are two storeys and seven bays, the middle three bays projecting under a pediment containing a blind lunette window. In the centre is a Tuscan doorcase with a semi-elliptical head and a radial fanlight, and to the right is a doorway with a plain surround and a fanlight. The windows are recessed sashes.

The Empress Hotel is a historic building in Harrogate, a town in North Yorkshire, in England. The Empress Hotel was in existence by 1640, the first accommodation in the town. It was later renamed as the "Bay Horse", and although it was a single-storey building, it was large enough to host an inquest of the Royal Forest Court. It was rebuilt in about 1870 as a much larger, three-storey hotel, and returned to its original name. In 1965 the top storey was removed, and the facade was altered to the Georgian style. The building was grade II listed in 1975. The building is constructed of rusticated gritstone and has a slate roof. It has two storeys and is ten bays wide. Over the middle four bays is a pediment containing a blind lunette. The entrance is in the centre, the windows are sashes, and on the right is a segmental-arched carriageway.

The Granby Hotel is a historic building in Harrogate, a town in North Yorkshire, in England. The first hotel on the site was the "Sinking Ship", which opened in 1670. By 1736, it was named "The Royal Oak", at the time that John Metcalf was recorded as playing the fiddle there. It had a barn which was used as the first theatre in the town. The oldest part of the current building dates from the mid 18th century, and in 1795 it was renamed as the Granby. The building was refronted in the early 19th century, and it expanded to incorporate terraces of former houses either side. By 1861, it had 150 bedrooms. The hotel closed in 1992, and the building became a care home. It was grade II listed in 1987. The building is rendered and has a slate roof. The central block has three storeys and five bays, the middle three bays projecting and splayed, with a floor band, a string course, a cornice and a parapet. The windows are recessed sashes with architraves and keystones, and in the middle floor is a cast iron balcony. The block is flanked by long irregular wings with three storeys and attics with dormers. To the left of the main block is a prostyle portico with paired Corinthian columns.
