KQIZ-FM

Pleasant Valley was an unincorporated community in Potter County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is now largely within the city limits of Amarillo.

KVWE (102.9 MHz) is an FM radio station broadcasting a sports format. Licensed to Amarillo, Texas, United States, it serves the Amarillo area. The station is owned by Alpha Media. Its studios are located on Olsen Boulevard near Western Avenue in southwest Amarillo, and its transmitter is located near Farm to Market Road 1719 and Loop 335 in northwest Amarillo. Originally KRGN-FM, it was sold by Family Life Radio to Midessa Broadcasting for $700,000. Then renamed to KEYU-FM, it was previously owned by Drewry Communications. On August 10, 2015, Raycom Media announced that it would purchase Drewry Communications for $160 million. The deal was completed on December 1, 2015. KEYU-FM, along with KTXC in Lamesa were Raycom's only radio stations since the company sold WMC AM-FM in Memphis, Tennessee to Infinity Broadcasting Corporation in 2000. On May 16, 2019, Gray Television agreed to sell KEYU-FM to Alpha Media for $250,000. On July 11, 2019, Alpha flipped the station from Spanish adult hits (as "Mundo FM") to an English-language rhythmic CHR format as "WE 102.9", and changed the call letters to KVWE.On August 11, 2022, Alpha announced they would flip KVWE to sports talk under the name "Panhandle Sports Star" on August 15, and affiliate with ESPN Radio.

Hornet is a family twister roller coaster located at Wonderland Park in Amarillo, Texas. It was previously enclosed and located at Six Flags AstroWorld.

The Texas Tornado is a steel roller coaster at Wonderland amusement park in Amarillo, Texas. It is the first coaster to be designed by North American water ride company Hopkins Rides. The design for Texas Tornado was scribbled on a napkin at a cocktail party at a trade show.During testing, the loops were reprofiled while retaining their original structures due to the trains being unable to complete the loop. During the park's 2009 winter off-season, the all-white coaster was repainted red, white and blue.

KTNZ (1360 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Catholic religious format. Licensed to Amarillo, Texas, United States, the station is currently owned by Catholic Radio of the Texas High Plains.Formerly KDJW, this station became KTNZ on March 1, 2021, as part of the move of the English-language Catholic programming from Saint Valentine Catholic Radio to 1010 AM (renamed KDJW). 1360 was relaunched as Spanish-language Catholic outlet "Radio San Toribio".

Wonderland Park is an amusement park located in Thompson Memorial Park, Amarillo, Texas, United States.

Palo Duro High School is a school located in the city of Amarillo, Texas, United States, and is one of four high schools in the Amarillo Independent School District. As of the 2016–17 school year, it has 2,075 students.The school was named after Palo Duro Canyon, a canyon system in the Texas Panhandle. Classified as a 5A school by the UIL. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Amarillo Lake, also known as Wildhorse Lake is a lake located in northern Amarillo, Texas. The reservoir is situated on the south side of Interstate 40 (and the historic Route 66). The city of Amarillo was originally constructed around the lake.

St. Laurence Catholic Church, formerly St. Laurence Cathedral, is a parish church in the Diocese of Amarillo located in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It served as the cathedral church of the Diocese of Amarillo from 1975 to 2011.

Santa Fe No. 5000 is a 2-10-4 "Texas" type steam locomotive constructed by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1930 for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. No. 5000 was immediately nicknamed the "Madame Queen" and remained a unique member of its own class. It was donated to the City of Amarillo, Texas in 1957 and is currently maintained by the Railroad Artifact Preservation Society. Santa Fe 5000 is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ranchotel is a motel in Amarillo, Texas. The building was completed in 1940, and was popular with travelers using the historic U.S. Route 66. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 14, 1995.

The Herring Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Amarillo, Texas. It was completed in 1926 and was named after the builder and operator, Cornelius Taylor Herring (1849–1931). The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 2024.
