Kościuszkowców Street is located in the Wawer district of Warsaw, Poland. It connects Korkowa Street with Bronisława Czecha Street, which is also part of the national road 2. Its east side borders with King Jan Sobieski Reserve. Close to the street there's Church of St. Felix of Cantalice, and from its tower Adolf Hitler observed occupation of Warsaw on September 15, 1939.There are public transport lines running, including 115, 305 and night line N25.

The Wawer massacre refers to the execution of 107 Polish civilians on the night of 26 to 27 December 1939 by the German occupiers of Wawer (at the time a suburb and currently a neighbourhood of Warsaw), Poland. The execution was a response to the killing of two German soldiers in a shootout by two petty criminals. An order to arrest at random any men inhabiting Wawer and the neighboring Anin between the ages of 16 and 70 was given and, as a result, 120 men, who were unrelated to the shootout, were gathered, and a show trial was hastily organized. 114 were declared "guilty" and sentenced to death, the others were spared to bury the dead. In total, 107 were killed and 7 survived, as they withstood the gunfire and were not finished off later. It is considered to be one of the first large scale massacres of Polish civilians by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland.

Marsa Street is a road located in Warsaw, Poland. It is the main road from the center and eastern part of the city towards Sulejówek, Okuniew, Liw and Węgrów, as well as Nieporęt, Zegrze and Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. It crosses the railway tracks twice and ends at the Warszawa Rembertów railway station. Most of the street runs through a wooded area of the Kawęczyn nature reserve and the Rembertów Forest. In the part from Ignacy Mościcki Roundabout to Rekrucka Street it is a dual carriageway, and then to Cyrulików Street is a single-carriageway with one lane in each direction.

Wygoda is a neighbourhood, in the city of Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Rembertów, in the Municipal Information System area of Kawęczyn-Wygoda.

Rembertów (Polish pronunciation: [rɛmˈbɛrtuf]) is a district of the city of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Between 1939 and 1957 Rembertów was a separate town, after which it was incorporated as part of the borough of Praga-Południe. Between 1994 and 2002 it formed a separate commune of Warszawa-Rembertów. In the 1940s it was a site of a prison operated first by Nazis and then by Soviets. The borough of Rembertów covers 19.30 km² and as of 2004 had 21,893 inhabitants. It is sparsely populated; more than 30% of the borough is covered by forests. Parts of it form the Kawęczyn Forest Reserve. Rembertów is home to the Academy of National Defence, established in 1947 as the Academy of General Staff (Akademia Sztabu Głównego). It is here that military executions were carried out under the communist regime. From 1970 to 1988 three soldiers were shot by firing squad for murder with rape.

Anin is a subdistrict of Wawer, in south-east Warsaw.

Bronisława Czecha Street (Polish: Ulica Bronisława Czecha) is located in Warsaw, Poland. Its dual carriageway, starts in the district of Wawer continuing from Płowiecka street on a viaduct over PKP rail line 7 north of Warszawa Wawer railway station, runs east mostly through the forest of the Masovian Landscape Park to the border between Wawer and Wesoła were from an intersection with a residential street called Wawerska the main road continues as Trakt Brzeski. Its path forms the boundary between the neighborhoods of Marysin Wawerski to the north and Anin to the south. It is the main road exiting Warsaw towards the east, and one of three roads connecting Wesoła with the rest of Warsaw together with Korkowa Street and Cyrulików Street. Together with Grochowska, Płowiecka and Trakt Breszki the street forms part of the 19th century Brześć Chaussee (Polish: Szosa Brzeska), a 200 kilometer road from the Grochów toll house at the Lubomirski Ramparts in Praga to Brześć Litewski (today Bieraście, Belarus), laid out and paved along a historic tract by Fr. Stanisław Staszic by 1823. Prior to the opening of the S2 expressway, which serves as the southern bypass of Warsaw, the street belonged to the national road network as part of DK 2 and to European route E30. Upon its rerouting on December 20, 2021, the old course was downgraded to a Voivodeship road marked as DW 628. The patron of the street is Bronisław Czech, a Polish skier and Olympian.

The First Battle of Wawer was fought on 19 February 1831, between Poland and Russia. Polish forces, led by Michał Gedeon Radziwiłł, were defeated by the Russian Pahlen and Rosen corps, commanded by Hans Karl von Diebitsch. In this battle, Polish commanders did not receive any reinforcements, unlike the Russians.
