Xanadu is an iconic complex of 17 apartments in Calp, Spain. It was designed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura and completed in 1968. It has been ranked among "Ricardo Bofill's 10 Most Iconic Works".The building is intended to create "a garden city in space", with its vertical shape echoing the nearby Penyal d'Ifac rock formation. It was inspired by the Utopian practice of Archigram and its "plug-in city" concept of modular megastructures.

Calpe (Spanish: [ˈkalpe]; Valencian: Calp [ˈkalp]) is a coastal municipality located in the comarca of Marina Alta, in the province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea. It has an area of 23.5 km2 (9.1 sq mi) and a population density of 990 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,600/sq mi). The city lies at the foot of the Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park. In 2022 the population was 24,096 inhabitants. The economy of Calpe is based mainly on tourism and fishing. Many Iberian, Roman and Arab archeological sites exist in the town because of its strategic coastal location. The Prime Meridian crosses Calpe.

Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park (Spanish: Parque Natural del Peñón de Ifach, Valencian: Parc Natural del Penyal d'Ifac) is a natural park situated in Calpe, in the Valencian Community, Spain. The Penyal d'Ifac is a massive limestone outcrop emerging from the sea and linked to the shore by rock debris. It is home to numerous rare plants, including a number of endemic species, and over 300 species of animals, and a nesting site for colonies of sea birds and other birds. Rising to 332 metres high, the rock is a striking visual feature of the Mediterranean coastline. Historically it was known to the Phoenicians as the Northern Rock, to distinguish it from its southern counterpart, the Rock of Gibraltar.Behind Penyal d'Ifac is a large lagoon cut off from the sea by strips of sandy beach and extending inland to the coastal mountains. The wetland area around the lagoon is all that remains of the formerly much more extensive wetlands of the Marina Alta.A protracted campaign to protect the site's unique natural diversity led to the area being granted natural park status in January 1987. With an area of 45 hectares, it is the smallest natural park in Spain, possibly in Europe. The park ranges from sea level to an altitude of 332 metres at the summit of the rock (penyal in Valencian, peñón in Spanish).From the top of the rock there are views over the surrounding villages and countryside and on a clear day as far across the sea as Ibiza in the Balearic Islands.

The La Sella Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour, first played in 2023.The tournament, held at La Sella Golf near Alicante in Spain the week before The Evian Championship, is one of 12 LET events in 2023 to feature a prize fund of at least $1 million.

Benissa (Valencian pronunciation: [beˈnisa], Spanish: Benisa) is a small town in Spain in the province of Alicante, 275 m above sea level, and one of the oldest towns on the Costa Blanca. The municipality of Benissa has 4 km of coastline linking the towns of Moraira and Calp. The scenery of the area includes cliff tops, rocky coves, sandy beaches and tiny bays along the Benissa Costa. The territory of Benissa also contains terraced vineyards, mountains and palm trees. Spanish village houses, with doorsteps directly onto the street, internal courtyards and deceptively spacious inside. Old finques (a farm or country estate) sit on large plots amongst vineyards with panoramic views to the sea. Nearby towns along the Costa Blanca are La Fustera, Cala dels Pinets, Cala de La Llobella, Cala l'Advocat, Baladrar and Cap Blanc before reaching Moraira.

Senija is a village in the province of Alicante and autonomous community of Valencia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 4.8 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi) and as of 2011 had a population of 661 people.

Parcent (Valencian: [paɾˈsent]; Spanish: [paɾˈθent]) is a municipality in the Pop Valley of La Marina Alta in the Alicante Province, which is located in the Valencian region of Spain. Parcent has a population of about 1100 and is about one hour's drive north of the city of Alicante, and about an hour's drive south of the city of Valencia. It features the small Holy Virgin church, and is surrounded by hills and mountains. Writer Gabriel Miró (1879-1930) was a resident of Parcent and called it a "paradise between the mountains". It is also close to Jalón (written as Xaló in Catalan), which is known for its wine production and markets. The traditional economy of Parcent relies on almond and orange farming in the surrounding area.

Moraira (Valencian pronunciation: [moˈɾajɾa]) is a small upmarket Spanish coastal town, part of Teulada (also known as Teulada-Moraira) municipality, in the Marina Alta comarca, 80 km north of Alicante and 100 km south of Valencia. The town is located adjacent to the neighbouring village of El Portet and both communities form a tourist resort on the Costa Blanca strip, with 8 km of coastline backed by mountains and vineyards.

Teulada (Valencian: [tewˈlaða], Spanish: [tewˈlaða]) is a small coastal town on Spain's Costa Blanca, located 3 km north from Junction 63 of the A7 E-15 toll motorway on the N-332 coast road. Setting it apart from its coastal neighbours of Calpe and further south, Benidorm, the town council passed laws limiting the height of buildings and protecting the natural pines that cover the sides of the valley leading to the coastal part of the municipality, Moraira.

Alcalalí (Spanish and Valencian: [alkalaˈli]) is a Valencian municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta, province of Alicante, Spain. It is situated in the Pop Valley (Vall de Pop) between the Serra del Ferrer and the mounts of Segili. It is bordered by Pedreguer and Benidoleig to the north, Jalón and Llíber to the east; Orba, Murla, Benigembla and Parcent to the west and Tàrbena to the south.

Llíber is a village in the province of Alicante and autonomous community of Valencia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 21.9 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi).

Xaló (Valencian: [ʃaˈlo]; Spanish: Jalón Spanish: [xaˈlõ̞n]), is a municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta in the Valencian Community, Spain.
