The Hofgarten (Court Garden) is a garden in the center of Munich, Germany, located between the Residenz and the Englischer Garten.

The Deutsche Theatermuseum in Munich is a museum focused on history of the theater, and primarily devoted to the German-speaking theater history. It has its headquarters in the Churfürstlichen Gallerie (Electoral Gallery), built in 1780–1781 by Carl Albert von Lespilliez, and located in the Galeriestraße 4a at Hofgarten. Director of the Museum is currently the theater, art and literary scholar Claudia Blank. She is also director of the photography collection. The museum was founded in the House of the Royal Bavarian Court actress Clara Zeiger, on 24 June 1910. In 1932, the Odyssee halls of the Munich Residenz were used as an exhibition space. The Clara-Ziegler Foundation established the Deutsches Theatermuseum in September 1979, and since then it has become a state museum. The museum does not have a permanent exhibition. For special exhibitions related to a specific topic, various exhibitions including stage sets, theatrical construction plans, props, costumes and masks, as well as audiovisual documents are displayed. In addition, the museum houses the largest collection of theater photographs and an extensive archive and library with about 100,000 publications.

The Kunstverein München (km) is a non-profit art association located in the Hofgarten in Munich, Germany. It was founded in 1823 and is one of the oldest German art associations. The Kunstverein, a privately sponsored association with almost 1,300 members, focuses on solo and group exhibitions by international artists. It belongs to the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (ADKV), an umbrella organization for non-profit art associations.Since July 2019, Maurin Dietrich is the director of Kunstverein München. In October 2019, Gloria Hasnay joined the institution as curator.

The Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (German: Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften) is an independent public institution, located in Munich. It appoints scholars whose research has contributed considerably to the increase of knowledge within their subject. The general goal of the academy is the promotion of interdisciplinary encounters and contacts and the cooperation of representatives of different subjects.

The Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst (German: [ˈʃtaːtlɪçəs muˈzeːʊm ʔɛˈɡʏptɪʃɐ ˈkʊnst], State Museum of Egyptian Art) is an archaeological museum in Munich. It contains the Bavarian state collection of ancient Egyptian art and displays exhibits from both the predynastic and dynastic periods. The associated small Middle East section displays objects from the areas of Assyrian and Babylonian culture. For decades, the Egyptian museum was located in the Munich Residenz, but it was moved to the Kunstareal in June 2013.

The Kriegerdenkmal ("warrior memorial") in the Hofgarten in Munich was built for commemorating those killed in action in World War I from Munich. It is located on the eastern end of the Hofgarten, in front of the Bayerische Staatskanzlei.

The Altstadtring is the innermost ring road of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. With the exception of the northwestern part, it runs roughly along the path of the former second wall of Munich and surrounds Munich's Altstadt. Because of the loop solution, it is impossible to drive through the Altstadt by motor vehicle, and all motor traffic must use the Altstadtring.
