Hempstead Meadow

Uckfield () is a town in the Wealden District of East Sussex in South East England. The town is on the River Uck, one of the tributaries of the River Ouse, on the southern edge of the Weald.

Uckfield railway station is the southern terminus of a branch of the Oxted Line in England, serving the town of Uckfield, East Sussex. It is 46 miles 8 chains (74.2 km) from London Bridge. The station and all trains that call are operated by Southern. Until 1969, the line continued southwards to Lewes and Brighton.

Copping Hall is a Grade II* listed house in Uckfield, East Sussex, England. It is located at 1 Pudding Cake Lane, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 1BT. Built in the eighteenth century, it is two-storey high and contains an attic, three windows and two dormers as well as grey headers with red brick dressings and quoins. It also has a dentilled cornice, a tiled roof, and casement windows with small square panes. Moreover, there is a doorway with flat hood on brackets and door of six fielded panels.It was listed as Grade II* by English Heritage on 26 November 1953.

Uckfield College (formerly Uckfield Community Technology College) is a community college situated in Uckfield, UK. It has approximately 1,720 students, including 370 in the sixth form college. As of September 2023, Sara Marshallsay is the Principal.

Uckfield Town F.C. was a football club based in Uckfield, East Sussex, England. For their final season, 2013–14, they were members of the Sussex County League (since re-named Southern Combination League), Division Three. They had four sides that play on Saturdays. They merged with second division club AFC Uckfield to create AFC Uckfield Town for the 2014-15 season and earned promotion in the merger's first year, starting the following season in the re-named league's re-named Division One, which became the Premier Division (Division Two became Division One).

Uckfield Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation based in the town of Uckfield in East Sussex, England. Although services now take place in a school, the cause—founded in 1785 by seceders from the nearby Five Ash Down Independent Chapel—had its own chapel from 1789 until 2005, when the building closed and was sold for residential conversion. The "simple brick chapel" was rebuilt in 1874 and has been listed at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance. The church was formed as a result of doctrinal differences which split the congregation at Five Ash Down a year after the church there was founded. Believers in particular redemption and closed communion left that church, which in common with many Nonconformist churches in this part of Sussex had been founded along Independent Calvinist lines, and formed a separate church at a farm in Uckfield in 1785. Four years later the present chapel was built. Another split occurred in the 1920s as the church realigned itself with General Baptist theology, causing Strict Baptist members to secede once more and form a new church which still meets elsewhere in Uckfield.

West Park is a 10.5-hectare (26-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Uckfield in East Sussex. It is owned and managed by Uckfield Town Council.This site has grassland, woodland and a marshy area which provides a habitat for several orchid species, including the southern marsh orchid. There is also a population of dormice.Access points include Princes Close.

Little Horsted (also known as Horsted Parva) is a village and civil parish in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. It is located two miles (3.2 km) south of Uckfield, on the A26 road. The village is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. The church is dedicated to St Michael and All Angels. Horsted Place, now a country hotel is located in the village, together with two golf courses, including the East Sussex National.

Cooper's Green is a village in the civil parish of Buxted in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. Its nearest town is Uckfield, which lies approximately 1.3 miles (2.1 km) south-west from the village.

Horsted Place is a Tudor Revival country house, now a hotel, in Little Horsted, East Sussex, England. The current building dates to 1850, when it was built by Samuel Daukes/George Myers for Francis Barchard, a successful merchant from London, though an earlier house evidently existed as it was documented as being owned by the Law family in 1816. It is described as "A masterpiece of ornate Victorian Gothic, it has towers, tall brick chimneys and a great central Gallery running through its entire length."Horsted Place is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List, and its gardens are also listed Grade II on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

The Church of St Margaret the Queen is a grade I listed building in Buxted Park, East Sussex, England. It is dedicated to Saint Margaret of Scotland, an 11th-century Scottish queen. The church dates from the 13th century, with additions in the 15th and 16th centuries and restored in 1858. In the present day, it is a middle-of-the-road Church of England church and part of the Parish of Buxted and Hadlow Down in the diocese of Chichester.

East Sussex National Golf Club is a golf course located near to Uckfield in East Sussex. It is considered one of the finer golf courses in the British Isles. There are two 18 hole courses designed by Bob Cupp.The East Course measures 7,081 yards and is designed for tournament play. It has been the setting for the European Open on two occasions. The West Course is a par 72 and is 7,154 yards and hosted the Challenge Tour Championship between 1995 and 1998 and the European Tour Qualifying School between 1994 and 1997.
