The Taiyuan Asian Puppet Theatre Museum (traditional Chinese: 台原亞洲偶戲博物館; simplified Chinese: 台原亚洲偶戏博物馆; pinyin: Táiyuán Yàzhōu Ôuxì Bówùguǎn) was a museum of puppet theatre in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. It aimsed to preserve and promote traditional Asian puppet culture and to foster interaction between local and international puppet troupes.

The Chen Tian-lai Residence (traditional Chinese: 陳天來故居; simplified Chinese: 陈天来故居; pinyin: Chén Tiānlái Gùjū) is a historic former house in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Dadaocheng is an area in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was also known as Twatutia (a transliteration of the Taiwanese Hokkien Tōa-tiū-tiâⁿ), Daitōtei during Japanese rule, and Tataocheng (Mandarin) during the Kuomintang era. Dadaocheng was an important trading port in the 19th century, and is still a major historical tourist attraction and shopping area. The district is known for the local Taiwanese cuisine, the Chien-Cheng Circle, and also being the center of the February 28 Incident.

The Tianma Tea House is a former tea house in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the site where an enforcement officer from the Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Monopoly Bureau of the Taiwan Provincial Government accidentally shot a civilian on 27 February 1947. The incident led to the island-wide anti-government uprising by the Taiwanese people called the February 28 Incident and the implementation of White Terror in Taiwan from 1949 to 1987.The tea house building has long been on the route of the annual march to commemorate the February 28 Incident in Taipei by government officials or civilians.

The Ama Museum (traditional Chinese: 阿嬤家-和平與女性人權館; simplified Chinese: 阿嬷家-和平与女性人权馆; pinyin: Āmā Jiā-Hépíng Yǔ Nǚxìng Rénquán Guǎn) is a museum dedicated to comfort women in Taiwan. It opened in 2016, in Datong District, Taipei. The original location closed in November 2020, and the museum is scheduled to relocate and reopen in April 2021.

The Immaculate Conception Cathedral (Chinese: 聖母無原罪主教座堂; pinyin: Shèngmǔwú Yuánzuì Zhǔjiào Zuòtáng) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. The Latin Rite church serves as the see of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Taipei (Archidioecesis Taipehensis; 天主教台北總教區) that was created by Pope Pius XII with the Bull "Gravia illa Christi".

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Taipei (Latin: Archidioecesis Taipehensis) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Taiwan. Pope Pius XII erected it as the Apostolic Prefecture of Taipei on 30 December 1949. On 7 August 1952, it was elevated to an archdiocese, with the suffragan sees of Chiayi, Hsinchu, Hualien, Kaohsiung, Taichung, and Tainan. The archdiocese's cathedral is the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. As the only metropolitan in Taiwan, it is the principal episcopal see of that country. Pope Francis accepted the mandatory resignation of John Hung Shan-chuan upon reaching retirement age and appointed Thomas Chung An-zu as Archbishop of Taipei on 23 May 2020. For many years, each person appointed Archbishop of Taipei has also been appointed as Apostolic Administrator of the Kinmen and Matsu islands, which form part of the Diocese of Xiamen.
