Shipton Hall is a large Elizabethan country house in the village of Shipton, Shropshire, England, which lies in the Corvedale valley some 7 miles south-west of Much Wenlock. It is a Grade I listed building.The hall is constructed of limestone to an E-plan in two storeys with attics, and boasts a slender 4-storey tower in one of the internal corners. In the ornamental gardens are stables and an early monastic dovecote, which is a Grade II* listed building.Close by stands the 12th century Church of St James.

Shipton is a small village in Shropshire, England. The 12th-century parish church of St James is a Grade II* Listed Building. It was rebuilt in 1589 by the Lutwyche family then owning the Hall. The church figures prominently in the history of the Samuel More family of Mayflower pilgrims fame. The More family had their seat at Shipton Hall after acquiring the Hall through marriage from the Mytton family in 1795. The Hall is constructed of limestone to an E-plan. In the ornamental gardens are stables and an early monastic dovecote, which is a Grade II* listed building.

Wenlock Edge is a limestone escarpment near Much Wenlock, Shropshire, England and a site of special scientific interest because of its geology. It is over 19 mi (31 km) long, running southwest to northeast between Craven Arms and Much Wenlock, and is roughly 1,083 feet above sea level. The deciduous woodland which runs along it covers much of the steep slopes of the escarpment and in parts it is very well preserved. It was featured on the 2005 TV programme Seven Natural Wonders as one of the wonders of the Midlands. Wenlock Edge contains many interesting features such as Flounders' Folly, Wilderhope Manor and Shipton Hall and waymarked walks such as the Shropshire Way and bridleways such as the Jack Mytton Way. It is a popular area for hillwalking, cycling, mountain biking and horseriding and is also frequented by tourists and sightseers. Robert Hart created a model forest garden from a small orchard on his farm called Highwood Hill in Wenlock Edge.

Wilderhope Manor is a 16th-century manor house in the care of the National Trust. It is located on Wenlock Edge 7 miles (11 km) south west of Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England. The manor is a Grade I listed building and since 1937 has been used as a youth hostel.

Easthope is a small village and small civil parish in Shropshire, England. Wenlock Edge passes through the parish, to the northwest of the village, along which is Easthope Wood. A hamlet with the same name (or spelled Easthopewood) is on the other side of the Edge, within the parish. Easthope gives its name to Easthope Road in the nearby town of Church Stretton, as a result of local property developer Ralph Beaumont Benson (1862–1911), who lived at Lutwyche Hall near the village. He was also responsible for the naming of Essex Road (after his wife, Caroline Essex Cholmondeley), Beaumont Road and Lutwyche Road, all in Church Stretton. He was the father of Stella Benson.

Stanton Long is a small village and civil parish situated in the district of Corve Dale, Shropshire, England. It is one of three parishes in the local area, including Easthope and Shipton. In the National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland 1868, it was described as: "a parish in the hundred of Munslow, county Salop, 7½ miles S.W. of Much Wenlock, its post town, and 10 W. of Bridgnorth. The village, which is small, is situated on the river Corve, and on the road from Skipton to Holdgate. The inhabitants are agricultural. The parish includes the townships of Brocton and Patton."

Longville railway station was a station in Longville in the Dale, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1867 and closed in 1951. The station is now in use as a private residence.

Holy Trinity Church is in the village of Holdgate, Shropshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Ludlow, the archdeaconry of Ludlow, and the diocese of Hereford. Its benefice is united with those of St Peter, Diddlebury, Broadstone Church, St Michael, Munslow, and St Catherine, Tugford. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. It stands in the former southwest bailey of Holdgate Castle.

Holdgate (or Stanton Holdgate or Castle Holdgate) is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Abdon and Heath, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. Its name is taken from its Norman lord Helgot who owned the village in 1086 along with 17 other parishes in Shropshire. In 1931 the parish had a population of 47.The village is laid on top of a small hill which rises to 169 metres (554 ft) above sea level. Its parish church is Holy Trinity. There are remnants of the medieval Holdgate Castle. Holdgate was once (in medieval times) a more populous place than today. On 1 April 1967 the parish was abolished and merged with Tugford and Munslow. Bouldon was, until 1884, a detached part of Holdgate parish.A mile (1.6 km) to the northeast is the village of Stanton Long. Between the two villages, but within the former Holdgate parish (now in the Abdon and Heath parish) is the hamlet of Brookhampton. To the south is Tugford.

Easthope Halt railway station was a station in Easthope Wood on Wenlock Edge, Easthope, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1936 and closed in 1951.

Longville To Stanway Road Section is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape. It is located 2km east of Rushbury, near Wilderhope Manor and 5km southwest of Wenlock Edge SSSI in Shropshire, England. This area is protected because of its Silurian geology where the sediments contain fossils of animals that lived in the shallow seas present 420 million years ago.

Patton is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is located in the civil parish of Stanton Long on the B4378 road between Bourton and Brockton. It lies on the eastern hillside of the upper Corve valley at an elevation of around 205 metres (673 ft) above sea level. The market town of Much Wenlock is 3.5 miles (5.6 km) distant.
