The Plaza of Our Lady of the Pillar (in Spanish: Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Pilar or simply Plaza del Pilar) is one of the busiest popular places in Zaragoza, Spain. In it is the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, where the homonymous Marian invocation is venerated. It's known by the nickname of "El salón de la ciudad" (in English: the hall of the city), since many public parties are held there. 1 It is also called Plaza de las Catedrales (in English: Plaza of the Cathedrals), because it has the two cathedrals of Zaragoza: the Seo and the Pilar.In this plaza are, in addition to the Basilica del Pilar, buildings such as the City Hall, the Fountain of Hispanicity, the Cathedral of El Salvador (La Seo), some court buildings and the Monument to Goya.

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar is one of two minor basilicas in the city of Zaragoza, and is co-cathedral of the city alongside the nearby La Seo de Zaragoza. The architecture is of Baroque style, and the present building was predominantly built between 1681 and 1872.

The Leaning Tower of Zaragoza, sometimes called by its Spanish name, Torre Nueva (new tower), was a Mudéjar leaning tower located in current Plaza de San Felipe, in Zaragoza (in Aragon, Spain). Over the years, the tower became an icon for the city. It was also the highest Mudéjar-style tower ever built (80 m (260 ft)) in 1504. It had a diameter of 11.5 m (38 ft) and a ground plan in the shape of a 16-pointed star. Built in the 16th century as a clock tower, it was built in brick in Mudéjar style by master builders Christians Gabriel Gombao and Antón Sariñena, Muslims Ismael Allabar and Monferriz, and Jew Juce Galí. Shortly after being built, its inclination could be noted, although it was said that there was no danger to its stability. In 1892, Zaragoza's City Council decided to demolish the tower, justifying the decision with the inclination and probable ruin. The decision was opposed by many intellectuals and part of the population. After the tower's demolition, citizens bought bricks as souvenirs.

Zaragoza City Hall (Spanish: Casa consistorial de Zaragoza) is the seat of the city council in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. It is located in the Plaza of Our Lady of the Pillar, and is built in the Renaissance Revival style.The city council was held from the Middle Ages in the Casas del Puente, named for their proximity to a bridge over the river Ebro. The buildings, which were indistinct from their neighbours, were demolished in the early 20th century. The council had held the Dominican Convent since 1837 due to laws of confiscation. It then based itself there from 1912, due to the deterioration of the previous site.A competition was held, and the design by Alberto Acha, Mariano Nasarre and Ricardo Magdalena Gayán won in 1941. In 1945, the plan was set for the foundation and frame at a price of 5 million Spanish pesetas, and work began on 2 January 1946. Construction halted in 1951 due to exhausted funds, and remained untouched until 1954 when the mayor ordered the facade to be built for the Marian Congress due to be held in the city, at a cost of 2.4 million. The bill totalled 18 million when it opened on 6 September 1965. A reason for the costs and length of construction was that it was not built by large companies, but by guilds of master craftsmen.The city hall is also used as an art gallery.

The Museo Goya - Colección Ibercaja - Museo Camón Aznar is a fine arts museum in Zaragoza, Spain. It opened in 1979 under the name Museo Camón Aznar, after the art collector from the city who had contributed the nucleus of its collection. The museum collection includes over 1,000 works, with around 500 on display. It was given its current name on the 26th of February 2015 after the addition of the Ibercaja collection and the works held by the Real Sociedad Económica Aragonesa de Amigos del País.

Unusually opulent for a Franciscan community, it benefitted greatly from royal patronage, and several members of the Aragonese royal family were buried in its magnificent church.

The Puente de Piedra (English: Stone Bridge) is a bridge across the river Ebro in Zaragoza, Spain. The Puente de Piedra is also called the Bridge of Lions because since 1991 four lions (symbols of the city) have been placed on the pillars at each end of the bridge. The lion statues were designed by Francisco Rallo Lahoz.

The archdiocese heads the ecclesiastical province of Saragossa, having metropolitan authority over the suffragan dioceses of Barbastro-Monzón, Huesca, Tarazona, and Teruel and Albarracín.The diocese was created in Roman times; Pope John XXII elevated it to an archdiocese in 1318.

The Cathedral of the Savior (Spanish: Catedral del Salvador) or La Seo de Zaragoza is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Zaragoza, in Aragon, Spain. It is part of the World Heritage Site Mudéjar Architecture of Aragon. The cathedral is located on the Plaza de la Seo and is commonly known as La Seo (Aragonese for "see") to distinguish it from the nearby El Pilar, whose name (pillar) is a reference to an apparition of Mary in Zaragoza (also known as Saragossa). They both share co-cathedral status in metropolitan Zaragoza.
