58th was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Green Line in the Washington Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station was located at 320-24 E. 58th Street. 58th opened on January 22, 1893, as part of the South Side Elevated Railroad's expansion to serve the World's Columbian Exposition. The station closed with the rest of the Green Line on January 9, 1994, to be rebuilt, but did not reopen with the rest of the Green Line on May 12, 1996, because of its close proximity to the Garfield station.

Garfield is an "L" station on the CTA's Green Line. It is situated at 320 E. Garfield Boulevard in the Washington Park neighborhood. It opened on October 12, 1892. This station is the southernmost Green Line station served by both of the Green Line's branches: south of Garfield, the Green Line splits into two branches, one terminating at Ashland/63rd, and one at Cottage Grove. Another Garfield on Garfield Boulevard, in the median of the Dan Ryan Expressway, serves the Red Line. During the closure of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line from May through October 2013, Garfield station served as the terminus of several temporary bus routes in order to mitigate the effects of the closure. Each of the bus routes transferred passengers from the sites of closed Red Line stations south of 69th street to Garfield station, where fares were waived while the Red Line remained closed.The station is close to the University of Chicago and is the closest 'L' station to the Museum of Science and Industry, although the museum is more than two miles away from the station. One station entrance is the oldest entrance on the CTA system. The entrance closed in 2000 and was filled in with cement in 2013. The front of the entrance remains. In June 2017, the University of Chicago announced plans to renovate the interior and reopen the former station entrance as a part of their Arts Block complex.

State was a station on the Englewood Branch of the Chicago 'L'. The station opened on November 3, 1905 and closed on September 2, 1973 as part of a group of budget-related CTA station closings.

61st was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Green Line. The station was located at 316 E. 61st Street in the Washington Park neighborhood of Chicago. 61st was located south of 58th, which opened and closed at the same time as 61st, and north of King Drive. 61st opened on January 22, 1893; The station closed on January 9, 1994, when the entire Green Line closed for a renovation project, and did not reopen with the rest of the Green Line on May 12, 1996, due to service cuts, The station was later demolished and was located south from the 61st Yard.

The Club DeLisa, also written Delisa or De Lisa, was an African-American nightclub and music venue in Chicago, Illinois. Located at 5521 South State Street (State Street and Garfield Avenue, on the South Side), it was possibly the most prestigious venue in the city, together with the Regal Theater and the Rhumboogie Café, the 800–seat Club DeLisa played a key role in the city's association with jazz, blues, rhythm and blues and soul music. It closed in February 1958, but was re-opened as The Club in 1966.

Schulze Baking Company Plant is a factory building located on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is located at 40 East Garfield Boulevard (also described as 55th Street and Wabash Avenue) in the Washington Park community area in Cook County. Built in 1914, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982. Originally built for the Schulze Baking Company, it was the home of the Hostess Brands' Butternut Bread until 2004.The building features a terra cotta exterior with ornamentation that pays tribute to Louis Sullivan. The original flooring is made of reinforced concrete. In the early 21st century, the building fell into a state of disrepair. In 2016, however, a developer stated that the building was being rehabilitated for adaptive reuse in 2017 and following years as a data center.

ACE Amandla Charter High School (formerly known as ACE Technical Charter High School), is a public 4–year charter high school located in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Opened for the 2004–2005 school year, the school is operated by Amandla Charter Schools. The name ACE stands for Architecture, Construction, and Engineering.

The Washington Park Subdivision is the name of the historic 3-city block by 4-city block subdivision in the northwest corner of the Woodlawn community area, on the South Side of Chicago in Illinois that stands in the place of the original Washington Park Race Track. The area evolved as a redevelopment of the land previously occupied by the racetrack. It was originally an exclusively white neighborhood that included residential housing, amusement parks, and beer gardens. During the late 1920s and 1930s, the area became the subject of discriminatory twenty-year covenants (private real-estate agreements), which at first had been upheld by the United States Supreme Court but were later determined to be unenforceable by the court, beginning with a challenge in a seminal case brought by Carl Hansberry. The case is a vital part of legal studies and considered an important part of a broad class of histories. The play Raisin in the Sun is based on Lorraine Hansberry's struggles in this neighborhood.

Wentworth was a station on the Englewood Branch of the Chicago 'L'. The station opened on December 10, 1905, and closed on February 9, 1992. and demolished during the Green Line reconstruction of 1994–1996.

Washington Park (formerly Western Division of South Park, also Park No. 21) is a 372-acre (1.5 km2) park between Cottage Grove Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive, (originally known as "Grand Boulevard") located at 5531 S. Martin Luther King Dr. in the Washington Park community area on the South Side of Chicago. It was named for President George Washington in 1880. Washington Park is the largest of four Chicago Park District parks named after persons surnamed Washington (the others are Dinah Washington Park, Harold Washington Park and Washington Square Park, Chicago). Located in the park is the DuSable Museum of African American History. This park was the proposed site of the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic swimming venue for Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. Washington Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 2004.

The Upper 61st Yard and the Lower 63rd Yard are two connected rail yards on the Chicago "L" system, located on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The complex is located on the East 63rd branch, and is used to store and maintain maintenance-of-way equipment. The 61st Yard is the oldest portion of the complex, opening in 1893 to serve the steam trains of the South Side Elevated Railroad. The Lower 63rd Yard opened in 1905 as an expansion of the 61st Yard, following the electrification and rapid growth of the South Side Elevated. The yard complex housed passenger trains until the late 1990s, when it was converted to a depot for non-revenue maintenance trains. The original maintenance shops at the complex were condemned as unsafe and demolished in 2009, and were replaced by the new Non-Revenue Rail Vehicle Maintenance Facility in 2023. In its current form, the Upper 61st/Lower 63rd yard complex stores and services the "L"'s maintenance equipment, and serves as a central depot for materials used in track repairs.

King Drive is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system. It is located in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois and serves the Green Line's East 63rd branch. The station is situated at 400 E. 63rd Street. The station opened on May 1, 1893. King Drive only allows boarding on the inbound platform (towards Harlem); the outbound platform (towards Cottage Grove) is exit-only.
