At the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, four diving events were contested. The competitions were held from Friday 30 July 1948 to Friday 6 August 1948.

The badminton tournaments at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place between 28 July and 5 August at Wembley Arena. A total of 172 athletes competed in five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The women's doubles tournament was marred by several disqualifications during the group stage for unethical play. All of the gold medals were won by players from China. The Chinese team also collected two silvers and one bronze, to top the medal table with eight in total. Denmark finished in second place, with one silver and one bronze won.

At the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, 11 swimming events were contested, six for men and five for women. All swimming events took place at the Empire Pool. There was a total of 249 participants from 34 countries competing.

The Wembley Stadium Bowl and Starlight Restaurant was an entertainment and dining venue situated just west of the Empire Pool (now the SSE Arena) in Wembley Park, Wembley, north-west London. In the early 1960s American-style tenpin bowling alleys became popular in the UK. In 1962 a bowling alley and restaurant was built west of the Empire Pool. The Stadium Bowl boasted 24 bowling lanes.The name Starlight for the restaurant was probably inspired by the Starlight Dance held in the neighbouring Empire Pool on 17 October 1959, which was one of the first popular music events held at Wembley.Tenpin bowling competitions were held at the Stadium Bowl, some reported on Pathé newsreels. One of these was the London International Matchplay tournament, which ran at Wembley from 1962 to 1972, before moving to the Airport Bowl in 1973. In 1966 the cup for the Coca-Cola Bottlers International Masters Championship was presented to winner John Wilcox of the USA by England football captain Bobby Moore, whose team had just won the World Cup.The general manager in the early 1970s was called Ralph Miller.The tenpin bowling craze declined relatively quickly and had largely died out by 1972. The Stadium Bowl became a 15-court squash centre in November 1974, hosting the British Open Squash Championships from 1975 to 1980. It has since been demolished.

Brent Civic Centre is the headquarters of Brent London Borough Council, situated on Engineers Way in the Wembley Park area of the London Borough of Brent. It was opened in 2013, replacing the former headquarters at Brent Town Hall located a mile north on Forty Lane.

Wembley Conference Centre was a conference centre in Wembley Park, London, England, that existed from 1977 to 2006, located next to Wembley Arena.

The Elite Cinema was a cinema in Wembley Park, Middlesex that opened on 21 March 1928 and closed in the 1940s. It was situated in the former conference hall of the British Empire Exhibition on Raglan Gardens (today Empire Way). The large 1,500-seat new cinema also incorporated a dance hall, a restaurant and a dance school. The Elite was soon renovated and renamed, reopening as the Capitol Cinema in 1930. It now boasted 1,637 seats. By 1937 its owners had been taken over by Odeon, but the two companies remained separate and Capitol retained its name. Although some trade publications list it as operating until 1947, it appears that the Capitol was converted into temporary wartime accommodation in 1943 and never reopened. The building was later demolished.

London Designer Outlet (abbreviated LDO) is a semi-outdoor shopping centre in Wembley in the London Borough of Brent. Located on Wembley Park Boulevard adjacent to both Wembley Stadium and The SSE Arena, it opened in 2013 as the first outlet centre in Greater London.

The British Empire Exhibition was a colonial exhibition held at Wembley Park, London England from 23 April to 1 November 1924 and from 9 May to 31 October 1925.

Fountain Studios was an independently owned television studio in Wembley Park, northwest London. The company was last part of the Avesco Group plc. Several companies owned the site before it was bought by Fountain in 1993. Originally a film studio complex, it was formerly the base for the ITV contractors Rediffusion from 1955 to 1968, and London Weekend Television from 1968 to 1972. More recently, the studios were best known for being the venue for the live stages of ITV shows The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. Other programmes made at Fountain include The Cube and the British Comedy Awards. Fountain Studios has also hosted Pop Idol, Test the Nation and The Kumars at No. 42. The last show to be broadcast live (and recorded) at the studios was The X Factor on 4 December 2016, after which the studio was closed, and the site sold to property developer Quintain.

The Bobby Moore statue is a bronze sculpture of the former West Ham and England footballer Bobby Moore, situated directly outside England's national stadium, Wembley Stadium, in Wembley Park, north-west London. It commemorates the life of Moore, who captained the only England side ever to win the World Cup, defeating Germany 4–2 in the 1966 FIFA World Cup Final held in England at the old Wembley Stadium, demolished in 2003. Commissioned by the Football Association, it was unveiled outside the new stadium when it opened in 2007, fourteen years after Moore's death from cancer, aged 51. Standing 20 feet (6.1 m) tall on a stone plinth, it looks out over spectators as they walk down Wembley Way into the stadium. Sculpted by the Royal Sculptor Philip Jackson, it is Jackson's second piece featuring Moore, after the World Cup Sculpture unveiled in 2003.

Olympic Way, often incorrectly known as Wembley Way, is the road that links Wembley Park tube station and Wembley Stadium in Wembley Park, London, England. Thousands of spectators walk along it to every event as the road leads directly into the stadium. The road is an easy access from the London Underground system at Wembley Park to the stadium, and travels in a north–south direction. The road also allows pedestrians an easy access to London Designer Outlet from the station. Olympic Way was built several years after World War II by German POWs still held captive by the UK. Originally they were intended to be used for picking up refuse during the 1948 Summer Olympics, but their duties were changed due to criticism in the press; "It is fair to assume that the Ministry of Labour will think very hard before intending for a slave squad to operate quite so publicly and before quite so many overseas visitors." Instead they were put on less visible construction details.
