Lantana is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is 37 miles north from Fort Lauderdale. This town is part of the Miami metropolitan area. The population was 10,423 at the 2010 United States Census.

South Palm Beach is a town located in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The town is situated on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The entire town is approximately 5/8th of a mile (1 km) long along South Ocean Boulevard (Florida State Road A1A), its only street. It is between the Town of Palm Beach to the north and the Town of Lantana and its public beach to the south. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,471.

The Historic Old Town Commercial District (also known as downtown Lake Worth Beach) is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on September 22, 2001) located in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The district is bounded by FEC, M Street, Lucerne Avenue, and 1st Avenue S. It contains 46 historic buildings.

The Old Lake Worth City Hall, also known as the Lake Worth City Hall Annex, is a historic site in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. It is located at 414 Lake Avenue. The building originally served as an elementary school until June 1928. North Grade and South Grade Elementary Schools opened the following fall. The building was subsequently remodeled to provide for the Commission Chamber and administrative offices. On May 18, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Lake Worth Historical Museum is located on the second floor, and features antiques, tools, clothing, photographs, and other local and historic artifacts.

The Lake Worth Historical Museum was established to serve as the repository to preserve the history and culture of the city of Lake Worth Beach, Florida, by collecting, organizing and exhibiting artifacts, books, photographs, and other materials which record the development of Lake Worth and the cultural history of the immediate surrounding area. The museum is located on the second floor of the Old Lake Worth City Hall at 414 Lake Avenue and is currently open on Wednesday and Friday from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

The Gulf Stream Hotel is a historic hotel in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. It is located at 1 Lake Avenue. On January 11, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Originally built in 1923, the hotel was mostly owned by the families of Gen. Richard C Marshall and Col. H.Cabel Maddox. From 1941 to 1971, it was managed by Ben Pease. After Pease retired, William R. Donnell, along with his wife Ellen, son Rick, and daughters Beth and Carol ran the operations until 1992. A book was written about the classic hotel in 1976 titled "The Gulfstream Hotel Story" by Glenn Ingram. Ingram was a career CPA from Chicago who spent many winters at The Gulfstream with his wife Nelle. Ceebraid-Signal Corp Lake Worth purchased the hotel in 2005 for $12.9 million. It was the target of a foreclosure lawsuit.

Lake Osborne, Florida, USA is a 378-acre (152.9 hectares) lake that is part of a system of once natural freshwater lakes lying along the western slope of the coastal ridge in Palm Beach County just west of the Florida Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean. It is located within the C-16 drainage basin which occupies approximately 40,031 acres of land (16,200 hectares). Five drainage canals discharge directly to Lake Osborne, and Lake Osborne discharges via the E-4 canal to the C16 and C51 canals to the Lake Worth Lagoon. The lake is bordered on the west by John Prince Memorial Park, and on the east be the City of Lake Worth. This lake system has been greatly impacted from human activities. It has been extensively modified and reduced in size by dredge and fill activities from urban and residential development; several lakes were completely filled and built upon. The lakes were probably dredged contemporaneous with canal construction in the 1920s or earlier. It is likely that filling of the adjacent wetlands for residential construction occurred at the same time or later. Square Lake and its oxbow lake were dredged for fill in the 1960s and additional dredging occurred in the north lobe of Lake Osborne in the 1970s. Degradation of the lake's water quality has been ongoing; however, with the elimination of domestic waste discharges 20+ years ago, the water quality has shown improvement. Eutrophication continues as a result of continued discharges of stormwater and agricultural and yard/street runoff. More than two dozen stormwater outfalls are situated within 1000 ft of Lake Osborne. In addition to the lake's loss of habitat value due to urban and residential growth, there has been significant establishment of exotic vegetation, fish, and molluscan species that have disrupted the lake's ecosystem function. Lake Osborne is important to Palm Beach County for transporting, processing, and storing stormwater and serving as a water supply reservoir. It is also of considerable value to the county for its scenic value and the recreational opportunities it provides. It is heavily used for boating and fishing as well as a variety of shore-based activities. In addition, John Prince Park, located along the western shoreline of Lake Osborne's north and central lobe, offers an ecotourism destination for visitors seeking a natural experience where they can enjoy and learn about this ecosystem. Due to development, vegetated littoral areas in and adjacent to Lake Osborne have been reduced to a fragment of their original size. The lake shorelines predominantly consist of bare sand or mowed grass and exotic and/or invasive vegetation. John Prince Park maintains a lawn like appearance for the majority of the shorelines of Lake Osborne. Within the water column exotic vegetation, such as water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes), water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata), and now Hygrophila (Hygrophila spp.), pose an ongoing nuisance and are treated with aquatic herbicides. With the loss of aquatic habitat, fish populations within the lake are becoming more represented by rough species, such as Tilapia (Tilapia sp. and Oreochromis sp.).

Lake Worth is a Tri-Rail commuter rail station in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, at the confluence of Lake Worth Road (SR 802) and Interstate 95. Opening to service January 9, 1989, parking is available at this station, all of which is beneath I-95 on the south side of Lake Worth Road.

Lake Worth Beach, previously named Lake Worth, is a city in east-central Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, located about 64 miles (103 km) north of Miami. The city's name is derived from the body of water along its eastern border known as the Lake Worth Lagoon, which was named for General William J. Worth, who led United States Army forces during the last part of the Second Seminole War. Lake Worth Beach is situated south of West Palm Beach, southeast of Lake Clarke Shores, east of Palm Springs, and north of Lantana, while a small section of the city also partitions the town of Palm Beach. The 2010 census recorded a population of 34,910, which increased to 42,219 in the 2020 census. Lake Worth Beach is within the Miami metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 6,138,333 people in 2020.While archaeological evidence indicates that the Jaega inhabited nearby areas thousands of years ago, Samuel and Fannie James, an African American couple, became the first known settlers in modern-day Lake Worth Beach in 1885, filing a homestead claim on 187 acres (76 ha). Fannie James operated the Jewell Post Office from 1889 to 1903 to serve the few residents who lived between Lantana and West Palm Beach. A land development scheme by Bryant & Greenwood in the 1910s allowed buyers to receive a parcel of land if they purchased a lot in present-day Greenacres. Consequently, the population increased from 38 in July 1912 to 308 only five months later. The town of Lake Worth was incorporated in June 1913. Thereafter, Lake Worth grew rapidly during the 1920s land boom and in the decades following World War II. Residents voted to change the official name to Lake Worth Beach in 2019. Today, Lake Worth Beach is a city featuring several historic neighborhoods, such as the National Register of Historic Places-listed College Park and Old Lucerne, while the downtown area also has dozens of buildings that are part of the Historic Old Town Commercial District. Lake Worth Beach is one of the most ethnically and racially diverse municipalities in Palm Beach County. Several cultural events are hosted annually in the city, including a street painting festival, several ethnic festivals, and Palm Beach Pride, one of the largest LGBTQIA+ pride festivals in Florida.

The Old Lucerne Historic Residential District (also known as Townsite of Lucerne) is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on June 4, 2001) located in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. The district runs roughly along North Lakeside Drive, North Palmway Street, and North O Street, from Lake Avenue to 7th Avenue N. It contains 218 historic buildings.

Manalapan is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 406 at the 2010 United States census.

Hypoluxo Scrub Natural Area is a 97-acre (39 ha) area of protected scrub and scrubby flatwood land in Hypoluxo, Florida. It is located on Hypoluxo Road and US Route 1. The area includes hiking trails and a nature trail. The park includes a multi-level observation tower that provides an overlook of the park as well as a 14-foot Barefoot Mailman statue.. The name Hypoluxo comes from the Seminole name for what is now known as Lake Worth, roughly translated as "water all 'round—no get out". The lake was later renamed in honor of Seminole Indian War colonel William Jenkins Worth.
