The Berufsgenossenschaftliche Kliniken Bergmannstrost Halle is the teaching hospital facility of University of Halle-Wittenberg, located in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

Halle Radio Tower is the tallest free-standing lattice tower exclusively used for radiotechnical purposes in Germany. It was built in 2005 by Steffens & Nölle GmbH for the Deutsche Telekom AG in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt as DVB-T broadcasting tower. It is 150 metres tall.

Ammendorf/Beesen is a suburb to the south of the city of Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It consists of the formerly independent villages of Ammendorf and Beesen.

In the Battle of Halle on 17 October 1806, a French corps led by Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte fought the Prussian Reserve under Eugene Frederick Henry, Duke of Württemberg. The French defeated their opponents, forcing the Prussians to retreat northeast toward Dessau after suffering heavy losses. The clash occurred in the War of the Fourth Coalition, part of the Napoleonic Wars. The city of Halle is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Leipzig on the Saale River. Emperor Napoleon I of France invaded the Electorate of Saxony and inflicted two disastrous defeats on the Prussian-Saxon armies at the Battle of Jena-Auerstadt. As the beaten armies fled, Marshal Bernadotte's corps marched north and found Duke Eugene's Reserve, which had not yet seen action, at Halle. At the beginning of the encounter, two French divisions rushed the bridges over the Saale on the west side of the city. They overran a weak defending force and quickly occupied the city. In one stage of the battle, Bernadotte was advancing against superior numbers along a narrow causeway, to which Napoleon stated: "Bernadotte hesitates at nothing, one day the Gascon will get caught." (P.S.: Bernadotte was born in Pau, in the historical and cultural area of Gascony.) Later in the day, Bernadotte's troops stormed out of Halle and attacked Eugene's Reserve which was drawn up to the southeast of the city. The Prussians were driven from their positions and chased to the northeast. While this engagement was going on, Bernadotte's third division surrounded and captured a Prussian regiment isolated on the west side of the city. One of the few intact Prussian forces west of the Elbe River was now crippled.

Saalkreis was a district (Kreis) in the south of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Neighboring districts were (from west clockwise) Mansfelder Land, Bernburg, Köthen, Bitterfeld, the district Delitzsch in the Free State of Saxony, and the district Merseburg-Querfurt. The district-free city Halle is nearly surrounded by the district.

Halle was one of the three Regierungsbezirke of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, located in the south of the country.

Leuna Chemie Stadion, known as Erdgas Sportpark until 2021, is a stadium in Halle, Germany. It has a capacity of 15,057 spectators. It is the home of Hallescher FC and replaced Kurt-Wabbel-Stadion.

The Kurt-Wabbel-Stadion was a multi-purpose stadium in Halle (Saale), Germany. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home of Hallescher FC until 2010. It had a capacity of 23,860. The stadium was opened in 1936 and was originally named after SA officer Horst Wessel, before it was renamed the Kurt-Wabbel-Stadion, in honour of Kurt Wabbel following the end of World War Two. The stadium was used by BSG Turbine Halle and HFC Chemie. HFC Chemie later became Hallescher FC.It was closed in 2010 and replaced by Erdgas Sportpark.

Halle (Saale) Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in the city of Halle (Saale) in southern part of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The station is situated east of the city centre and is a category 2 station.

The Georg Cantor Gymnasium is a German gymnasium in Halle (Saale) with a special focus on mathematics and the sciences (specialist school). The all-day school was founded in 1989. It is attended by just over 500 students and has a staff of about 60 teachers.

The White Elster (German: Weiße Elster, Czech: Bílý Halštrov) is a 257-kilometre (160 mi) long river in central Europe, right tributary of the Saale. Its source is in the westernmost part of the Czech Republic, near Aš. After a few kilometres, it flows into eastern Germany where it cuts through the Vogtland in (according to the Encyclopædia Britannica) a "deep and picturesque valley". In Germany it flows through the states of Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt. The White Elster flows through the cities of Plauen, Greiz, Gera, Zeitz, Pegau and Leipzig, and into the river Saale in Halle.

The Saale-Elster Viaduct is a railway bridge along the Erfurt–Leipzig/Halle high-speed railway in Central Germany. It was completed in 2013 and opened in 2015. The viaduct is 6,465 metres (21,211 ft) long and thereby the longest bridge in Germany and the longest high-speed rail bridge in Europe. It includes a branch of 2,112 metres (6,929 ft) length. The prestressed concrete box girder bridge carries a Deutsche Bahn Intercity-Express (ICE) line over the extended floodplain at the confluence of the Saale and White Elster rivers, a natural habitat of wild fauna and flora south of Halle, Saxony-Anhalt. The branch provides a connection to the parallel Halle–Bebra railway line.
