Perrysburg is a city located in Wood County, Ohio, United States, along the south side of the Maumee River. The population was 25,041 at the 2020 census. Part of the Toledo metropolitan area, the city is 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Toledo. Perrysburg served as the county seat from 1822 to 1868. Perrysburg was surveyed and platted by a federal survey team in summer 1816. A local legend has held that it was designed by noted architect Charles Pierre L'Enfant, after he planned Washington, DC, but this has not been supported by fact.

Fort Miami (Miamis) was a British fort built in spring 1794 on the Maumee River in what was at the time territory claimed by the United States, and designated by the federal government as the Northwest Territory. The fort was located at the eastern edge of present-day Maumee, Ohio, southwest of Toledo. The British built the fort to forestall a putative assault on Fort Detroit by Gen. "Mad" Anthony Wayne's army, then advancing northward in southwestern Ohio.

Rossford is a city in Wood County, Ohio, United States, located along the Maumee River in the Toledo metropolitan area. The population was 6,293 at the 2010 census. The town includes the intersection of Interstate 75 and the Ohio Turnpike. Rossford Public Library and WPAY serve the community. Rossford was founded as a company town by Edward Ford of the Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company. In 1898, Ford purchased 173 acres (0.70 km2) along the Maumee River to build the Edward Ford Plate Glass Company.As workers came to the factory, Ford named the resulting town "Rossford" by combining the last name of his second wife, Caroline Ross, with his. Shortly after the foundation of the plant, Ford built the Ford Club next to the plant, so workers could socialize. In 1998, Rossford's centennial, the town built a memorial next to the Ford Club in memory of the foundation of the town. The centennial was marked by a street fair, parade, concert, and several other accommodations. Edward Ford's father John Baptiste Ford earlier founded Ford City, Pennsylvania as a plate glass company town.

Marengo is an extinct town in Lucas County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It was located in Adams Township, which formerly lay to the west of Toledo and has since been incorporated within the city limits.

The Hull–Wolcott House is an historic building in Maumee, Ohio. Named for James Wolcott, a businessman in the late 1820s to the mid-1840s, only the Wolcott House is original to the site. Built by James Wolcott and his wife, Mary Wells, the Wolcott House began as a log house and evolved into a 14-room Federal-style mansion between 1827 and 1836. The house is a blend of federal and classic architecture. In 1826, James Wolcott and his Mary moved to Maumee. They purchased 300 acres for $1.25 an acre in 1827 and began construction of their home. Wolcott built wharves and warehouses on the Maumee River and constructed two steamships to transport his merchandise. . James and Mary Wolcott had five sons and a daughter. The house passed through three generations to Wolcott's great-granddaughter, Rilla Hull, who was the last of the Wolcott line to reside in the "Mansion on the Maumee". Upon her death in 1957, Hull bequeathed her home for public use and benefit. St. Paul's Episcopal Church transferred the landmark to the City of Maumee for use as a historical museum.
