WDGA-CD

WDNN-CD, virtual channel 49 and UHF digital channel 20, is a low-power, Class A independent television station licensed to Dalton, Georgia, United States. WDNN is primarily viewed on local cable systems as Channel 10. North Georgia Television also owns and operates Antenna TV affiliate WDGA-CD (virtual channel 43, UHF digital channel 47) in Dalton, Georgia. This station has now signed an affiliation agreement with Tribune Entertainment's Antenna TV network, as of October 24, 2018. It is also now boosting its signal coverage area to cover more of Chattanooga, 30 miles northwest. North Georgia Television also owned WTNB-CA in Cleveland, Tennessee until selling it to PTP Holdings in 2009; in 2005, WTNB and WDNN both offered similar schedules featuring FamilyNet and local programming, but WTNB produced its own local programming separate from WDNN and its repeaters. WDNN-CD was also repeated by LaFayette, Georgia's WLFW-LP (on channel 41) until February 16, 2017, when the Federal Communications Commission cancelled WLFW-LP's license.

The Battle of Rocky Face Ridge was fought May 7–13, 1864, in Whitfield County, Georgia, during the Atlanta Campaign of the American Civil War. The Union army was led by Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman and the Confederate army by Gen. Joseph E. Johnston. Confederates were forced to evacuate their strong position due to a Union flanking movement.

The Dalton Convention Center is a multi-purpose venue in Dalton, Georgia built in 1991. Owned by the city of Dalton and by Whitfield County, the Convention Center is operated by the general manager and director of tourism, Doug Phipps and Margaret Thigpen.In addition to being home to the Georgia Athletic High School Coaches' Hall of Fame, the Convention Center's arena has a maximum seating capacity of 2,100 and was home to the Georgia Rampage of the X-League Indoor Football. Another indoor football team, the Peach State Cats, also announced the Dalton Convention Center as their home arena for the 2018 season, but became a traveling team and never played a home game in Dalton.

Dalton State College (DSC or Dalton State) is a public college in Dalton, Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1963 as a junior college, the college became a four-year institution in 1998. Dalton State is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

The Whitfield County School District is a public school district in Whitfield County, Georgia, United States, based in an unincorporated area with a Dalton postal address. It serves areas of Whitfield County outside of the Dalton city limits, including the communities of Cohutta, Tunnel Hill, and Varnell. Dalton residents are zoned to Dalton Public Schools.

A. D. Strickland Store, also known as Bryant's Store, Dawnville General Merchandise Storekeeper, and J.R. Anderson Store; is a historical building and former rural country store located at 1385 Dawnville Road in Dalton, Georgia and built c.1878. These types of rural country general stores were once common and an important part of the social history of Georgia. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 10, 2005.

Dalton High School is a public high school located in Dalton, Georgia, United States. It is one of three high schools operated by Dalton Public Schools. In 2003 about 46% of the students were Hispanic or Latino, reflecting immigration from Mexico into Dalton that began in the 1990s. In 2012 Hispanics and Latinos still maintained a plurality.

The Robert T. Webb Sculpture Garden is a five-acre (2.0 ha) admission-free, open-air museum and sculpture park located in Dalton, Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is operated by the Creative Arts Guild, the state's oldest multi-disciplinary, community arts organization. The sculpture garden is the first permanent installation of its kind in the state of Georgia The garden features more than 50 outdoor sculptures in three sections of the Guild's property—the Ken and Myra White Magnolia Crescent, the Eli Rosen Garden and the Founders Garden—that provide an organic setting for the works, including mature trees, shrubs and flowers. The garden includes works by prominent artists such as Isamu Noguchi, Scott Burton, James Rosati, Betty Gold, Victor Salmones, Guy Dill, Chana Orloff, Felipe Castaneda and Ken Macklin. The Creative Arts Guild also maintains an indoor art gallery, which hosts rotating exhibits by local, regional and national artists. The sculpture garden welcomes approximately 10,000 visitors each year and is an educational resource for regional schools.

The Masonic Lodge No. 238 (also known as Masonic Hall), is a historic building in Dalton, Georgia. it was built in 1915. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.It is the home of Dalton Lodge No. 238, Prince Hall Affiliation

Dalton is a city and the county seat of Whitfield County, Georgia, United States. It is also the principal city of the Dalton Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Murray and Whitfield counties. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 34,417 people; the city's metro area was 124,837. Dalton is located just off Interstate 75 in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia and is the second-largest city in northwest Georgia, after Rome. Dalton is home to many of the nation's floor-covering manufacturers, primarily those producing carpet, rugs, and vinyl flooring. It is home to the Dalton Convention Center, which showcases the Georgia Athletic Coaches' Hall of Fame and hosts a variety of events.
