John Alexander House

The David Jones House in Maryville, Tennessee, also known as the George Burchfield House, is a Second Empire style house built in 1887. It was built by Maryville brick-maker and builder David Jones. The house is Blount County's only extant example of a residence built in the Second Empire style. It has a straight-sided mansard roof and prominent stone quoining.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Jones also built the NRHP-listed David Jones House on High Street.

Maryville College is a private liberal arts college in Maryville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1819 by Presbyterian minister Isaac L. Anderson for the purpose of furthering education and enlightenment into the West. The college is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the United States and the 12th-oldest institution in the South. It is associated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and enrolls about 1,100 students. Its mascot is the Scots, and sports teams compete in NCAA Division III athletics in the Collegiate Conference of the South.

Anderson Hall, built in 1870, is the oldest building on the campus of Maryville College, Maryville, Tennessee, named for college founder Isaac L. Anderson.Anderson Hall is a brick building designed in the Second Empire style by architect Benjamin Fahnestock. Funds for its construction were contributed by the Freedmen's Bureau, Pittsburgh businessman William Thaw, and John C. Baldwin of New York.Originally the college's only building, Anderson Hall is currently used as a classroom building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Extensive renovations were started in 2008.The bell tower of Anderson Hall is depicted in the college's logo.

The David Jones House on High St. in Maryville, Tennessee, also known as the Elmer B. Waller House, was built in 1874 by Maryville builder David Jones. Jones ran a brick company and built numerous brick buildings in Maryville including the Blount County Courthouse (which burned in 1906).: 36 The house is one of two best examples of Italianate architecture, along with the Peter Bartlett House, in Blount County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1989.David Jones also built the county's only Second Empire style house on Broadway (at 720 Tuckaleechee Pike), which is also NRHP-listed.

The Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium is located in Maryville, Tennessee, and serves as the home stadium for the Maryville College Fighting Scots’ football team. The stadium has a maximum seating capacity of 3,000, and the field is called Honaker Field. The stadium was dedicated in 1993. The field itself was named after Maryville College's Coach Lombe Honaker, and it has been the Fighting Scots' home field since 1952.

Morningside is a historic house in Maryville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1932 for Mrs John Walker, whose sister was married to Dr. W. P. Stevenson, the chaplain of Maryville College. It was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style. Mrs Walker willed it to Maryville College when she died in 1950, and it was used as the college president's house. Later, the college sold it to Dr. Lloyd Langston, but they bought it back when he died. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 25, 1989.

Bicentennial Greenbelt Park is a public park located in downtown Maryville, Tennessee.

Friends Church is a historic church at 314 W. Broadway in Maryville, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It was built in 1871 as a meetinghouse for the local congregation of the Society of Friends (Quakers). The Quakers were an important group in Maryville in the 19th century that played a major role in building the community's early schools, including the Freedman's Institute and Maryville Normal School. The single-story brick church is of Italianate design and is laid out on an ell plan.Since 1940 the building has been used for Episcopal worship. It currently houses St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.It is the oldest brick church in Blount County, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It became a Blount County historic landmark in 2007.

Jarvis Park is a park located in Maryville, Tennessee, and is managed by the City of Maryville and Foothills Land Conservancy. The 11 acre woodlands Park is off Court St. east of Downtown Maryville. It borders the Vulcan Materials Company rock quarry and is across the street from Blount United Soccer Club fields. The park is named after Dr. Craig Jarvis, donator of the land to the city.

Maryville High School (MHS) is currently a three-year public high school with grades 10–12. It was founded in 1918 in Maryville, Tennessee and is a part of the Maryville City Schools system.In the 2009–2010 year, there were approximately 1,558 students enrolled, and the senior class consisted of 352 students. With 107 faculty members, the staff-to-student ratio was approximately 1:15. The school principal is Heather Hilton.Maryville High School has been designated by the Governor of Tennessee as an A+ school. Five National Merit Finalists graduated from Maryville in 2003.

Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union (commonly ATFCU or Alcoa Tenn) is a credit union founded in the city of Alcoa, Tennessee that has since spread around Blount and Loudon, and Monroe Counties in Tennessee. Founded on July 9, 1936, as Plate Mill Employees Credit Union connected to the aluminum company ALCOA, the credit union is now a community credit union. It would gain its current name in 1959.The credit union has assets over $350 million. Its current President/CEO is David Gill. ATFCU currently has five branches in the cities of Alcoa, Maryville, and Vonore. It is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration and a member of the Tennessee Credit Union League. Every year the credit union awards the Franklin E. Robinson Memorial Award to a local high school senior. The award is named for a long-serving engineer and former ATFCU board member.

The McNutt-McReynolds House is a historic house in Maryville, Tennessee, U.S..It was built circa 1900 for Robert G. McNutt, a merchant. It was designed in the Queen Anne architectural style. It was purchased by J. A. Reynolds in 1906, and by Dr. W. B. Lovingood in 1920. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 1989, and was delisted on October 28, 2021.
