West Sound (or Westsound) is an unincorporated community on Orcas Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States.

Sheep Island or Picnic Island is one of the San Juan Islands in San Juan County, Washington, in the United States. It is a tiny island lying just off the eastern shore of West Sound, Orcas Island. Sheep Island has a land area of 6,193 square meters (1.530 acres), with a recorded elevation of 23 feet (7.0 m). The 2000 Census reported a permanent population of two persons on the island.

Westsound Seaplane Base (SPB) (IATA: WSX, FAA LID: WA83) is a seaplane base located adjacent to West Sound on Orcas Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States. It is owned by the Westsound Marina.

Freeman Island is a tiny island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington, west of Orcas Island. It is part of the San Juan Islands National Monument (Bureau of Land Management). The name was given by Charles Wilkes during the Wilkes Expedition of 1838–1842, originally as Freeman's Island, in honor of J.D. Freeman, the sailmaker of the expedition's Peacock.Freeman island sits just off YMCA Camp Orkila, and is a popular rowboat destination for the campers.

Camp Orkila is on the northwest shoulder of Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington, overlooking Presidents Channel, and the Canadian Gulf Islands. It has been in operation since 1906.It is operated by the Greater Seattle Area's YMCA. It is open year-round and offers many different programs ranging from conference and retreat hosting to summer camp and teen expedition programs for grades 3 through 12 during the summer, and the Orkila Outdoor Environmental Education Center during the spring and fall.

Massacre Bay is a bay in the U.S. state of Washington.Massacre Bay was named for the fact that Indian massacres occurred in the area.

Skull Island is the name of two small islands in the San Juan Archipelago in the U.S. state of Washington. The northernmost Skull Island is located off the coast of Orcas Island in Massacre Bay, the most northern extension of the island's West Sound. It is identified as 3.2-acre (1.3 ha) Skull Island State Park Property by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. It was named for holding skulls and bones of a band of Lummi who were killed by raiding Haida in 1858. Since 2013, it has been part of the San Juan Islands National Monument.Another Skull Island in the same archipelago is located exactly fourteen miles south-southeast at 48°27′56″N 122°49′59″W in Mud Bay, part of Lopez Sound, between the Sperry Peninsula of Lopez Island and Fortress Island.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church is a historic Carpenter Gothic church located on Main Street in Eastsound on Orcas Island, Washington. On December 12, 1994, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Eastsound (not to be confused with East Sound, which is the body of water adjoining Eastsound) is an unincorporated community on Orcas Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States. Eastsound is the largest population center on Orcas Island, the second-most populated (after San Juan Island) and physically largest of the San Juan Islands.

Victim Island is an island in San Juan County the U.S. state of Washington. The island lies just east of the Canadian maritime border between the City of Bellingham and Vancouver Island It is home to the Victim Island State Park.Evidence of violence amongst local Native Americans caused the name Victim Island to be selected.
