Langenburg

Ludwigsruhe is a hamlet in Hohenlohe. It is a suburb of the town of Langenburg in the district of Schwäbisch Hall, located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Until 11 August 1761, the place was called Lindenbronn. Prince Louis of Hohenlohe-Langenburg then changed the name of the hamlet to match the name of the lustschloss he had built there.

Braunsbach is a municipality in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is on the Kocher river, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the district seat of Schwäbisch Hall. The town is bordered to the north by the town Künzelsau, the county seat of Hohenlohe, in the east by the town of Langenburg, on the southeast by Wolpertshausen, in the south by the town of Schwäbisch Hall, in the southwest by Untermünkheim and in the west by Kupferzell in Hohenlohe.

Orlacher Bach is a stream in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a tributary of the Kocher and is 4.6 kilometres (2.9 mi) long. It is named for the small village of Orlach, which sits high above it. The stream begins about a kilometer WSW of the village of Nesselbach. Extreme weather led to the stream's overflowing its banks on May 29, 2016, contributing to considerable damage to the town of Braunsbach.

Mulfingen is a town in the district of Hohenlohe in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Friedrich Wohnsiedler (1879–1958), a native of the town, emigrated to New Zealand around 1900 and became a notable wine-maker.

On the Kocher Viaduct (German: Kochertalbrücke) near Schwäbisch Hall in Germany the Autobahn 6 crosses the Kocher valley between Heilbronn and Nuremberg. With its maximum height of 185m above the valley bottom, it is the highest viaduct in Germany, and was also the bridge with the tallest pillars in the world before the Millau Viaduct, France was completed in 2004. The nine spans of this prestressed concrete girder bridge cover a length of 1128m, the individual span lengths being 81m for the outer two and 138m for the remaining seven. Pillar height varies from 40m to 178m. The bridge table is 31m wide. Construction was from 1976 to 1979. A museum in the village of Geislingen am Kocher below the bridge (visits by prior appointment) not only tells the bridge's story but also displays dinosaur fossils found during the construction of the motorway.
