WBEC-TV

WSCV (channel 51) is a television station licensed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States, serving as the Telemundo outlet for the Miami area. It is one of two flagship stations of the Spanish-language network (the other being WNJU in the New York City market). WSCV is owned and operated by NBCUniversal's Telemundo Station Group alongside NBC station WTVJ (channel 6). The two stations share studios on Southwest 27th Street in Miramar; WSCV's transmitter is located in Pembroke Park, Florida. The station also serves as the de facto Telemundo outlet for the West Palm Beach market, as that area does not have a Telemundo station of its own. Channel 51 in Fort Lauderdale first went on the air in 1968. It operated as a primarily English-language independent station as WSMS-TV from 1968 to 1970 and as WKID from 1972 to 1980. From 1980 to 1984, the station primarily broadcast the ON TV subscription service until its owner, Oak Communications, sold it to John Blair & Co., which relaunched it the next year as Spanish-language WSCV. It was one of Telemundo's charter stations in 1987 and has since experienced ratings increases and expanded its local news offerings.

They are owned by Audacy, Inc., the station simulcasts a sports radio format simulcasting WQAM targeting Miami-Dade County and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area. Its studios are located in Audacy's Miami office on Northeast Second Avenue, while the station's transmitter is located in nearby Pembroke Park. Weekdays begin with The Joe Rose Show, hosted by the former Miami Dolphins tight end. He is followed by Tobin & Leroy (Brendan Tobin and Leroy Hoard). In afternoon drive time, Hochman, Crowder & Solana (Marc Hochman, Channing Crowder, Alejandro Solana) are heard. Nights and weekends feature syndicated shows from the Infinity Sports Network and the BetMGM Network. WQAM and WQAM-FM are the flagship stations for the Miami Heat basketball team.

WFUN-LD (channel 48) is a low-power Spanish-language independent television station in Miami, Florida, United States. It is owned by América CV Station Group, Inc., alongside fellow independent station WJAN-CD (channel 41). The two stations share studios in Hialeah Gardens; WFUN-LD's transmitter is located on West Hallandale Beach Boulevard in the Carver Ranches section of West Park.

WJAN-CD (channel 41) is a low-power, class A Spanish-language independent station in Miami, Florida, United States. Owned by América CV Station Group, Inc., the station maintains studios on NW 107th Avenue in Hialeah Gardens, and its transmitter is located due south of Aladdin City. WFUN-LD (channel 48), also licensed to Miami, serves as a translator of WJAN-CD; this station's transmitter is co-located with WJAN-CD's studios.

Carver Ranches was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,299 at the 2000 census. In 2005 it became one of four neighborhoods to incorporate into the new city of West Park.

WLRN-FM is a class C1 FM station on 91.3 MHz, and is the main public radio station for South Florida and the Keys based in Miami. The station is owned by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is the area's flagship NPR member station, therefore carries Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, and Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!. It is also affiliated with Public Radio International and carries The Takeaway and The World, among others. It airs its own locally-produced music programs Evenin' Jazz with Tracy Fields on weeknights, and Night Train on Sundays, before being taken over by the BBC World Service during the overnights. WLRN first signed on in 1948 as WTHS-FM, on 91.7 MHz. The station later moved to 91.3, changing the calls to WLRN-FM. It was a charter member of NPR in 1970 and is the longest running NPR member in Florida. Its HD2 service was WLRN Xtra HD, "South Florida’s Alternative News and Talk Station", featuring talk programming by day and BBC World Service at night. Until December 2, 2007, HD2 carried "Classical 24", which offered classical music 24 hours per day.[1] Classical 24 has since moved to another public radio station, WKCP 89.7 FM, after that station's acquisition by Classical 24's parent, American Public Media, but 89.7 was sold to K-LOVE on July 17. Classical music has returned to WLRN's HD2 as of August 10, 2015 under the Classical 24 service once again but is now referred to as WLRN Classical HD2. Employees are part of AFSCME union local 1187 contract. The station also maintains its long-time radio reading service for the blind on an analog subcarrier. The school board also owns WLRN-TV, the secondary PBS member for South Florida on Channel 17.

It is owned by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools district alongside NPR member WLRN-FM (91.3); the two outlets are operated under a management agreement by Friends of WLRN, the stations' fundraising arm. Both stations share studios on Northeast 15th Street and Northeast 1st Avenue in Miami, while WLRN-TV's transmitter is located at McTyre Park in Miami Gardens. WLRN-TV is one of two PBS member stations serving the Miami–Fort Lauderdale market, the other being WPBT (channel 2), owned by South Florida PBS. Originally a secondary station to channel 2 when it was WTHS-TV, the effective split of community and public licensee in the late 1970s made channel 17 the only TV station operated by the school system. WLRN-TV's local productions include documentaries and special-interest programs on South Florida, and it also airs independently produced Spanish-language programs on Sundays.

West Park, officially the City of West Park, is a municipality in Broward County, Florida, United States. It was created on March 1, 2005. West Park is part of Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. It is located in the southeastern part of the county and consists of the neighborhoods of Carver Ranches, Lake Forest, Miami Gardens (Broward County), and Utopia. A large portion of the city lies west of the town of Pembroke Park, so the new city was called "West Park". The city has a population of 15,130 as of the 2020 census.

Pembroke Park is a town in Broward County, Florida, United States. The town took its name from its location along Pembroke Road. It is part of the South Florida metropolitan area. Almost one-half of its residents live in mobile homes. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,260.

Its studios are located in Audacy's Miami office on Northeast Second Avenue. The transmitter tower is off NW 210 Street in Miami Gardens, shared with WTVJ. WKIS broadcasts in the HD Radio format. Its HD2 subchannel carries the sports radio programming of co-owned WQAM. Its HD3 subchannel carries the national sports gambling programming as "The Bet". Its HD4 subchannel carries Israeli programming.
