Lake Forest was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,994 at the 2000 census. It is now a neighborhood of West Park, Florida.

West Park, officially the City of West Park, is a municipality in Broward County, Florida, United States. It was created on March 1, 2005. West Park is part of Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. It is located in the southeastern part of the county and consists of the neighborhoods of Carver Ranches, Lake Forest, Miami Gardens (Broward County), and Utopia. A large portion of the city lies west of the town of Pembroke Park, so the new city was called "West Park". The city has a population of 15,130 as of the 2020 census.

WBGG-FM (105.9 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and serving the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale media market. Owned by iHeartMedia, the station airs a classic rock radio format. WBGG's studios are located in Pembroke Pines and the transmitter site is off Fifth Street in Pembroke Park.WBGG is licensed for HD Radio and carries the news/talk format of sister station WIOD AM 610 on its HD2 channel and Pride Radio on its HD3 channel.

WVFW-LD, virtual and VHF digital channel 8, is a low-power Estrella TV owned-and-operated television station in Miami, Florida, United States. The station is owned by Estrella Media. It was the network's second affiliate in the market; Estrella TV previously affiliated in Miami with the second subchannel of Sunbeam Television's Fox affiliate, WSVN (channel 7) to provide full-market coverage to South Florida. WSVN-DT2 switched to Light TV on July 14, 2017, temporarily leaving Estrella without much Miami cable coverage. The station allows homes that have trouble receiving WGEN's VHF signal or only a UHF antenna to receive WGEN in some form. WVFW-LD's signal also served a second purpose, as it provided the signal source for Estrella's national feed carried by pay television providers in markets without an Estrella TV affiliate on terrestrial TV. This was seen in the feed top-of-the-hour station identification sequence, which formerly identified WVFW-LD. Previously, the station was owned by and aired programming from Almavision, and its life dates back to 1983, when it was launched as a Monroe County-owned repeater station of PBS member station WPBT (channel 2) licensed to Marathon. WVFW-LD's future fate is undetermined in the wake of Liberman's announcement of the purchase of Key West-licensed WGEN-TV (channel 8) on January 8, 2018 (it began to carry Estrella TV on March 1 and also became the national pay television source), though WGEN has guaranteed full carriage in the Miami area. However, it has been retained as its transmitter decently covers Miami and Fort Lauderdale, whereas WGEN has to use several repeaters to cover the inner core of the Miami/Fort Lauderdale metro.

WHFT-TV (channel 45) is a religious television station in Miami, Florida, United States, owned and operated by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). The station's studios and transmitter are located at the Lakeside Park (formerly Lake Trinity Estates) complex on Pembroke Road in Pembroke Park (with a Hollywood mailing address).

Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School is a secondary school located at 1410 County Line Road in Ives Estates, an unincorporated area of north Miami-Dade County (Miami address), Florida, US. However, it serves the city of Aventura, northern fringes of North Miami Beach, and the unincorporated areas around the school such as Ives Estates/California Club and Ojus. The school is located on the Miami-Dade side of the Miami-Dade-Broward County line, and is the northernmost high school in the district. Lee Krueger currently serves as principal. Krop is considered to be a magnet school because it has a "Students Training in the Arts Repertory (STAR)" program. This magnet program is a visual and performing arts program that is open to students in the greater Miami area. Due to the recession of 2008 and ongoing financial issues, the STAR program has had severe cuts in its funding. The school gained national attention after one of its students, Trayvon Martin, was killed in a controversial shooting.

Carver Ranches was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,299 at the 2000 census. In 2005 it became one of four neighborhoods to incorporate into the new city of West Park.

WSCV (channel 51) is a television station licensed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States, serving as the Telemundo outlet for the Miami area. It is one of two flagship stations of the Spanish-language network (the other being WNJU in the New York City market). WSCV is owned and operated by NBCUniversal's Telemundo Station Group alongside NBC station WTVJ (channel 6). The two stations share studios on Southwest 27th Street in Miramar; WSCV's transmitter is located in Pembroke Park, Florida. The station also serves as the de facto Telemundo outlet for the West Palm Beach market, as that area does not have a Telemundo station of its own. Channel 51 in Fort Lauderdale first went on the air in 1968. It operated as a primarily English-language independent station as WSMS-TV from 1968 to 1970 and as WKID from 1972 to 1980. From 1980 to 1984, the station primarily broadcast the ON TV subscription service until its owner, Oak Communications, sold it to John Blair & Co., which relaunched it the next year as Spanish-language WSCV. It was one of Telemundo's charter stations in 1987 and has since experienced ratings increases and expanded its local news offerings.

Although the station is based in Broward County, WBEC-TV's city of license, Boca Raton, is located within Palm Beach County.

It is owned by América CV Station Group, Inc., alongside fellow independent station WJAN-CD (channel 41). The two stations share studios in Hialeah Gardens; WFUN-LD's transmitter is located on West Hallandale Beach Boulevard in the Carver Ranches section of West Park.

WJAN-CD (channel 41) is a low-power, class A Spanish-language independent station in Miami, Florida, United States. Owned by América CV Station Group, Inc., the station maintains studios on NW 107th Avenue in Hialeah Gardens, and its transmitter is located due south of Aladdin City. WFUN-LD (channel 48), also licensed to Miami, serves as a translator of WJAN-CD; this station's transmitter is co-located with WJAN-CD's studios.

Hallandale High School is a public high school and magnet school located in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district and was established in 1973. It serves: Hallandale Beach, Pembroke Park, and West Park.
