Preston Royal Infirmary

Deepdale railway station (also known as Deepdale Bridge station) was on the Longridge Branch Line in Preston, Lancashire, England. The station opened in 1856 as a replacement for Deepdale Street railway station which until then had been the Preston passenger terminus of the line. The new station lay on an extension, built in 1850, which connected to the earlier line near the level crossing in Skeffington Road. The extension passed through the 862-yard (788 m) Miley Tunnel to another new station at Maudland Bridge. Deepdale station was the headquarters of the Fleetwood, Preston and West Riding Junction Railway, which had bought the Preston and Longridge Railway. The new line and tunnel were originally built to connect the Longridge line to the existing Preston and Wyre Joint Railway, as part of a planned route from Fleetwood on the Fylde coast to Skipton in the West Riding of Yorkshire. However, that plan had already collapsed by 1852. The station, along with others on the line, closed to regular passenger services on 31 May 1930. The last passenger trains to use Deepdale station were 1970s football supporters' specials bringing away fans to Deepdale Stadium to watch a football match. This was done to keep visiting supporters away from the town centre before and after the match. The line through the station continued to be used for goods trains until the 1990s, and the tracks, though rusty and overgrown, still exist as far as the Skeffington Road level crossing.

Deepdale Street railway station was the original Preston terminus of the Preston and Longridge Railway in Lancashire, England, when it first opened in 1840. It was located in Deepdale Street, off Deepdale Road, on what was then the outskirts of Preston. The rail line was originally designed to carry quarried stone from Longridge to Preston, so the passenger facilities were quite rudimentary and there were many sidings near the station for unloading stone. In 1856, passenger services were diverted to a new line via Deepdale Bridge and Miley Tunnel to a new terminus at Maudland Bridge. Deepdale Street was closed to passengers but continued to be used for goods, even long after the rest of the line had closed. The railway served a coal depot in Deepdale Street, which remained open until the 1990s. Tracks connecting Deepdale Street to the West Coast Main Line via Miley Tunnel still exist although they are now rusty and overgrown.

St Paul's Church is a redundant Anglican parish church in St Paul's Square, Preston, Lancashire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It was a Commissioners' church, having received a grant towards its construction from the Church Building Commission.The building was home to radio stations Rock FM and Greatest Hits Radio Lancashire from 1981 to 2020.

The Syro-Malabar Cathedral of St Alphonsa is a Catholic cathedral of the Syro-Malabar rite in Preston, Lancashire. It is the cathedral of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Great Britain, and was previously St Ignatius Church under the Diocese of Lancaster. It is situated close to the Preston city centre, with the entrance on Meadow Street. The building was opened in 1836 and was the first church in Preston to have a spire.Since January 2015, the church has been used as a cathedral for the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. In 2016 Pope Francis raised the status of the church to that of cathedral and appointed Monsignor Joseph (Benny Mathew) Srampickal as the first bishop.

Moor Park High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Preston in the English county of Lancashire.It is a foundation school administered by Lancashire County Council. The school was also previously awarded specialist status as a Business and Enterprise College. Moor Park High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form (which opened in 2013) have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.

Carey Baptist Church, is a Baptist church in Preston, Lancashire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It is affiliated with the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

HM Prison Preston is a Category B men's prison, located in the City Centre area of Preston in Lancashire, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service.

Preston bus station is the central bus station in the city of Preston in Lancashire, England. It was built by Ove Arup and Partners in the Brutalist architectural style between 1968 and 1969, to a design by Keith Ingham and Charles Wilson of Building Design Partnership with E. H. Stazicker. In the 2000s the building was threatened with demolition as part of the City Council's Tithebarn redevelopment project. After two unsuccessful attempts, it was granted Grade II listed building status in September 2013. It was then refurbished and officially re-opened in 2018.

The ward is adjacent to the larger Deepdale to the east and is considered to be more an area within Deepdale than a distinct community of its own. The ward was created in 2002 for the 2002 Preston Council election, taking in the terraces running from Deepdale Road to St Paul's Road adjacent to Moor Park, running south towards the city centre. The eastern parts of the University of Central Lancashire campus in included within the St George's boundaries. Its name comes from the main road running east–west from Deepdale Road to the A6 Garstang Road. Two members of Preston City Council, elected 'in thirds' in first past the post elections each year, are returned from the ward. The ward forms part of the Lancashire County Council electoral division of Preston Central South.

Preston Muslim Girls High School is a secondary school located in the Deepdale area of Preston in the English county of Lancashire.It was founded in 1989 as a private Islamic school for girls. In 2011 it became a voluntary aided school and part of the state-funded sector administered by Preston City Council.Preston Muslim Girls High School GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. Girls at the school also have the option to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme.

City Mosque Preston (formerly known as North Road Pentecostal Church) is in North Road, Preston, Lancashire, England, and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The Preston Tithebarn redevelopment project was a £700 million city centre regeneration initiative in Preston, Lancashire. The project was intended to be developed by Preston Tithebarn Partnership, a 50/50 joint venture between Grosvenor and Lend Lease Corporation in partnership with Preston City Council. In October 2005, Preston City Council and Grosvenor signed an agreement to go ahead with the Tithebarn regeneration project as part of Council's broader plans for Preston city. Tithebarn was objected to by neighbouring councils and the scheme was abandoned in 2011.
